The Apostles is a warrior cats roleplay based in northern Wisconsin. On Lake Superior, the wild cats have made the Apostle Islands their home. It is on these islands - Rocky Island and South Twin Island - that the clan and tribe cats have lived in a peace and harmony that ebbs and flows with the tide.
But as the tides turn, so does the truce that binds them to one another; and as the water raises, a darkness follows, an evil that will end in bloodshed and violence.

The Form
Character name: [a href="LINK TO BIO URL HERE"]Character name[/a] Character Clan: Clan name Mentoring style: Describe mentor style Desired apprentice type: Describe type of apprentice you want and/or types, or n/a if any is desirable Average response time: List your average response time (1-2 weeks, a month, etc.)
Character name:Robin-nose Character Clan: RedwoodClan
Mentoring style: Robin-nose likes guiding her apprentices vs. telling them what to do. She's the kind of mentor who will do a demonstration and then ask the apprentice to try it themselves. She's generally very understanding and forgiving when it comes to failure or mistakes. She excels in hunting and fights using her speed. Robin-nose will often consult her mate, Tigerpool, or ask him to tag along when it comes to battle training.
Past apprentice(s): Windstorm, Sunnysong
Desired apprentice type: I think Robin would work well with any kind of apprentice. However, she probably has a penchant for softer and/or adventurous souls and would not be best for an apprentice who wants to go through the ringer via intense battle training. Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: N/A Status: unavailable -- she's nearing retirement + end of arc shenanigans. No more mentoring!
Character name:Ruefeather Character Clan: RedwoodClan
Mentoring style: Ruefeather is a kind, thoughtful, and patient tom. Soft-spoken and altruistic, Ruefeather is a great match for meek and timid apprentices who need a gentle paw and help building confidence. He is very intelligent and possesses a great knowledge about the island itself, particularly about herbs. Ruefeather encourages his apprentices to help other in the Clan, such as the medicine cats or elders, and prefers pacifist ideologies as opposed to militant ones. However, he does understand the importance of fighting and training apprentices to defend their Clan
Past apprentice(s): Apsenfoot, Rookfeather, Thymecloud
Desired apprentice type: Preferably meek and/or timid apprentices who don't want to be tossed into the deep end. Ruefeather might struggle with an apprentice who just wants to rip and shred lmao. Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: Wolfpaw Status: unavailable
Character name:Reedtail Character Clan: RedwoodClan
Mentoring style: Reedtail values fun, adventure, and havin' a good time. He's never had an apprentice before, so this would be a pretty sobering experience for him once he realizes he needs to grow tf up a little bit. He'll probably make the mistake of trying to be his apprentice's friend vs. an authoritative figure, meaning his apprentice will be able to get away with slacking off, sneaking out of camp, and ditching lessons.
Past apprentice(s): N/A
Desired apprentice type: Preferably someone who also wants to slack off. Though someone who wants to take their training very seriously could be fun! Very opposite energy situation that could force Reedtail to get his shit together. Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Status: unavailable - since he's on TP's shit list for code-breaking, he probably cannot mentor for awhile.
Character name:Violetsky Character Clan: RedwoodClan Mentoring style: Despite being a young and inexperienced, first-time mentor, Violetsky is naively optimistic in her ability to train an apprentice and excited to get one! With Tigerpool as her mentor and Finchstar as her father, she is confident in her knowledge of the warrior code, ability to fight, and shape a young mind. Though as young as she is, Violetsky will likely make the mistake of trying to be her apprentice's friend, oops! Like her father, she will indulge in usual training practices with lessons verging on eccentricity.
Past apprentices: N/A
Desired apprentice type: Any! Violetsky is very friendly and can mesh with just about any personality type. Someone who is needlessly cruel might be kind of difficult for her to train, however, and if you want a stern, disciplinary-focused mentor, Violetsky is not your cat. Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: N/A Status: Available
Character name:Blazingstorm Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Blazingstorm wants his apprentices to come out of his training regime covered in battle scars and strong. He does not hold back with his training methods and is not afraid to be mean. He values strength and fighting above all else. Having kits has softened him a little bit, but not enough to change his perspective. He will makes his apprentices fight him with their claws unsheathed and/or hunt them for sport.
Past apprentices: Fadingsky, Snailtail, Mudclaw
Desired apprentice type: If you want your apprentice to toughen up, become a bad-bitch fighter, or just have a really bad time, then Blazingstorm is the mentor for you! Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: N/A Status: Unavailable -- I want to give Blazing a break from mentoring since he just finished training Mudpaw.
Character name:Jaythroat Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: As a first time mentor, Jaythroat will struggle being a good mentor, but by Stars she will try! She wants to prove herself to her Clan, especially since her former mentor is now the leader. She will probably makes some mistakes in her training or say the wrong thing due to her crash nature, but she is a formidable fighter and huntress and has some skills to pass down. She won't beat about the bush with her apprentices and try her best to prepare them for the cruel world of warriorhood.
Past apprentices: Rainsmoke
Desired apprentice type: I think Jay would do ok with any kind of apprentice! She may struggle with someone who is more introverted and quiet, however. Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: N/A Status: Available
Character name:Blackfrost Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Mean, uncaring, cruel. Do you want a complete and utter bitch for a mentor? Someone who will throw you to the wolves without any weapons and say good luck, babe? Blackfrost is your gal. As a first-time mentor, she will likely go very hard on pushing her apprentice to their limits and try to break them. Growing up under Graygaze and Squirreltail, she learned from the best (aka the worst) and will belittle and degrade them like it's nobody's business. Training will be heavily battle-focused and feature "impossible" tasks, such as not returning to camp without bringing down a hawk single-handedly. Navigating the bog at night, alone. Challenging Blazingstorm to a duel and living.
Past apprentices: N/A
Desired apprentice type: If you're looking for a nice, understanding mentor, go away! If you're looking for someone to make your apprentice worse, why hello Blackfrost would probably hate piss-baby cowards the most, but if you want your piss-baby coward to get a dose of tough love, then it'd work out. She would queen out best with another tough-as-nails, bad-ass she-cat. Tom apprentices will be constantly belittled for being a tom, sorry! Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: N/A Status: Available
Character name:Brambleheart Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Incredibly "by the books," Brambleheart is the "boring" professor obsessed with policy aka the warrior code and behaving appropriately in camp. He is straight-laced, no-fun, and will be incredibly focused on preparing his future apprentice in every facet of becoming a well-rounded warrior. He will teach them about the code, despite ThistleClanner typically laughing at the code. He will teach them decorum, which yes! Includes fighting and challenging others to duels. Calisthenics are important to him. He will likely run his apprentice through fitness-related drills. He will not want to befriend his apprentice and keep the relationship incredibly cordial.
Past apprentices: N/A
Desired apprentice type: Brambleheart will likely struggle with apprentices who are extremely defiant, rebellious, and foul-mouthed. Pranksters and silliness will also ruffle his pelt. If you are looking for a traditional, fighting, cruel mentor, he is not that cat. His lessons will be grueling...because they will be boring af. Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: N/A Status: Available
Character name:Sorrelsong Character Clan: LichenClan
Mentoring style: A constant presence in the nursery, Sorrelsong has never trained an apprentice before! Minnowstar and Sagestar both saw queens as weak, so she was never given the opportunity. However, if given the opportunity, Sorrelsong would be delighted and deeply knowledgeable about the nursery, kits, and the inner-workings of Clan politics. Having navigated her own image for seasons, Sorrelsong would be the perfect mentor for another young she-cat, but with a twist! Wanting to improve the younger generation, she'd make sure her apprentice is also skilled as a warrior. She'd consult and train with other warriors to ensure her apprentice does not solely end up in the nursery like she did.
Past apprentices: Swiftsight
Desired apprentice type: Preferably an apprentice who either 1) wants to grow up and become a queen or 2) does not want to become a queen, but is being forced to against their will. Any traditional, more aggressive apprentice would not be a good fit since Sorrelsong is not particularly skilled as a warrior and would need a lot of help training them. Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: N/A Status: Unavailable - she's nearing retirement!
Character name:Lavendermist Character Clan: LichenClan
Mentoring style: Due to her low-status, age, banishment, and now pregnancy, Lavendermist has never gotten the opportunity to train an apprentice. That said --- she is excited to do so and would greatly enjoy shaping a young mind. She was part of the original rebellion. So her teaching style would revolve around the new, reformist ideologies cropping up in LichenClan. She encourages independence, from thinking to actions, and wants to challenge former traditionalist beliefs. As a warrior, she is fairly average and is not a particularly impressive fighter. However, she will go at great lengths to prepare her apprentice for a future in LichenClan.
Past apprentices: Anemonetail
Desired apprentice type: Lavendermist would be a great fit for most apprentices due to her calm and level-headed personality. She might have a tougher time with any traditionalist/loyalist apprentice or someone who is particularly aggressive, but she could make it work! Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: N/A Status: Unavailable - wanna give her a break
Character name:Pikefur Character Clan: LichenClan Mentoring style: Pikefur is a very gentle, patient, and considerate cat who enjoys interacting with young cats, from kits to apprentices. He will be thoughtful, but perhaps a bit slow for any apprentice wanting to get out there and start sparring from the get-go. His focus will be on respecting den-mates, learning how the Clan co-exists, and focusing on meaningful lessons, such as the important of patience, kindness, and gratitude. Recently come into his own on fighting, any lessons relating to sparring will stray far from deadly attacks, and focus instead of redirection, defense, and strength. Desired apprentice type: Pikefur has the ability to get along with pretty much any cat! Cats who are extremely emotionally draining may be tough on him mentally because he's so empathetic. Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: Lightningpaw Status: unavailable
Character name:Dustflame Character Clan: LichenClan Mentoring style: Temperamental, confused, and extremely young, Dustflame will not be a great first-time mentor, mostly because he's still coming into his identity among a shifting political client, and he does not know who he is or where he stands. Trained under Quickstar, Dustflame learned LichenClan history (the unabridged, real, not Heron-line fed version), how to navigate the tunnels, and how to rest his active mind through meditation. Because he does not know anything different, he will likely continue these lessons with his apprentice, despite his very traditional upbringing. He will be at war with himself and likely lash out as his apprentice and change his mind about training, flip-flopping between what he learned under Quickstar and what he learned from his mother.
Past apprentices: N/A
Desired apprentice type: At this point, any kind of apprentice will probably piss him off because so much is happening to him and he truthfully feels inadequate and confused! He's truly not ready to train one, and until he finds his place, any apprentice with him is going to be a learning experience for both of them. Average response time: 1-2 weeks! Current apprentice: Hawkpaw Status: Unavailable

Character name:Cinderfeather Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Cinderfeather is a very kind cat who would have a good relationship with her apprentice. She guides you through everything step by step and lets you try it on your own. She will stay out with her app and patiently show them everything step by step and even stay up on her own all night if need be to try to come up with different ways to teach her app if they are struggling. She will not give up on them, no matter what. She's patient, kind, loving, and more concerned with helping her apprentice succeed than her own image. She'll do any task she asks her apprentice to do alongside them. Desired apprentice type: N/A Average response time: It depends, but I will do my absolute best to keep any training threads at a response time of one week. Availability: Available Apprentices: None
Character name:Sparkspirit Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Never having an apprentice before, Sparkspirit’s teaching style will be… awkward. With an extreme need to prove himself to everyone, he’d push his apprentice as hard as he pushes himself which is… very hard. Sparkspirit will drive his apprentice into the ground. If Emberscorch is a hard worker, Sparkspirit is a workaholic. With a need to prove himself to everyone, his apprentice would be forced to accompany him on his daily routine of waking up before dawn, hunting until sun-high, battle training until dusk, and patrolling until the moon is in the sky. Basically we're talking 5 am to 9 pm. If he gives his apprentice any off time, he expects them to be out doing something like taking care of the elders or sparring with someone. There's no one area he'd focus most on, but due to his size, a large part of their battle training would be learning how to fight someone small effectively. They'd also probably learn a lot of rogue swears from him. Desired apprentice type: N/A Average response time: It depends, but I will do my absolute best to keep any training threads at a response time of one week. Availability: Available Apprentices: Slushpaw
Character name:Emberscorch Character Clan: LichenClan Mentoring style: Emberscorch is a seasoned mentor, and as such, knows what she expects from her apprentices. She drives them hard, making them train from dawn to dusk. Breaks are rare with her, and when they happen, usually an oral lesson is weaved into it. She is a seasoned warrior, and has many stories of her triumphs and failures. Previously, she’d teach all about the glories of Minnowstar and StarClan, and while the stories of StarClan will stay, her view on Minnowstar has become… skewed. She believes that Minnowstar has been corrupted by the Dark Forest. Something she’ll add into her training, now that she has them, is how to deal with crippling injuries. She’ll make her apprentice fight with one eye closed, if not both eyes. She’ll have them train to fight on three legs. She knows how hard it is to heal from them, and will do everything to make sure her apprentices don’t have to deal with that. However, she isn't cruel. She may not comfort them if she sees them genuinely struggling, but she will offer help. Just don't expect it to be obvious that she is offering help. She often ends up proud of her apprentices when they graduate, though she rarely shows it. She cares greatly about them. If they are injured, she will come to visit and will sit with them and keep them company. Desired apprentice type: N/A Average response time: It depends, but I will do my absolute best to keep any training threads at a response time of one week. Past apprentices: Ospreyfur, Cressclaw, Ghostface, Hemlockrose. Availability: Available
Character name:Marsheyes Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Lazy and doesn't care too much. Will let his apprentice slack off Desired apprentice type: Any Average response time: about a month Past apprentices: NA Current apprentice: NA Status: Available
Character name:Snailtail Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: He'll push you hard and take no excuses. Snailtail will kick your ass if you get behind on training. Always fights with claws out. Desired apprentice type: Any Average response time:about a month Past apprentices: NA Current apprentice: NA Status: Available
Character name:Dapplewing Character Clan: RedwoodClan Mentoring style: Gives lots of homework and goes on tangents about the theory behind hunting/fighting moves Desired apprentice type: Any Average response time:about a month Past apprentices: NA Current apprentice: NA Status: Available *once the RWC plot permits it since she's "rogue born"
Character name:Pollenstorm Character Clan: RedwoodClan Mentoring style: demands perfection and extra pratice outside of normal training sessions Desired apprentice type: Won't put up with slackers. If your apprentice doesn't eventually catch up to her expectations she'll ask for a reassignment Average response time:about a month Past apprentices: NA Current apprentice: Nymphpool, Status: Available
Character name:Darterleap Character Clan: LichenClan Mentoring style: Easy going and sweet with lots of compliments and praise Desired apprentice type: I'm really only interested in him mentoring a cat who wants to focus on "queenly duties" Average response time:about a month Past apprentices: NA Current apprentice: NA Status: Available *he's still a bit young
Character name:Rabbitstep Character Clan: LichenClan Mentoring style: Lazy and absent. She doesn't take mentoring seriously and will skip out on mentoring whenever possible or push it onto her clanmates instead. Desired apprentice type: Any Average response time:about a month Past apprentices: NA Current apprentice: NA Status: Available
Character name:Littlestream Character Clan: LC Mentoring style: Littlestream's goals and perspective has changed drastically as she's aged. More comfortable in her identity as a queen AND fighter, she is looking to help young she-cats achieve a similar lifestyle. Her lessons will emphase warrior duties and camp-tending in equal measure for young queenly types AND boys, because she believes that both can gain value from domestic labor. She has a spunk that can match more difficult apprentices if necessary, and a gentle, motherly side that will help more shy apprentices blossom into the cats they were meant to be.
past apprentices: n/a
Desired apprentice type: A girl who she can girlbossify, or a boy she can clash heads with. Average response time: 2-3 weeks on training threads, and am willing to shorten that as needed. Status: Avaliable
Character name:Howlfeather Character Clan: LC Mentoring style: Howlfeather is guided primarily by her faith and her unwavering dedication to StarClan, and her tutalage will almost exclusively focus on this aspect of her life. She will excel in teachings on religion, mindfullness, and domestic queenly tasks, but will be unable to provide her apprentice much training in regards to fighting and hunting beyond fishing. She is very inwardly focused and might neglect her apprentice in favor of her own pursuits depending on the plot the apprentice might want. To be well rounded and pass their assessments, her apprentice would need to seek fighting and hunting lessons from other warriors (which I'm down to play with!). If the apprentice doesnt mind barely skirting by in their assessments and instead learning about starclan and den-tending almost exclusively, she's your gal!
past apprentices: n/a
Desired apprentice type: Either an upperclass youngling (tom or she-cat) who wants to prioritize what she's able to teach OR a young she-cat feeling pressured by family to fulfill gendered expectations despite wanting more for herself. Status: Available
Character name:Lostgaze Character Clan: TC Mentoring style: Lostgaze would not be a particularly good mentor. While he does have the work ethic and dedication to be a good mentor, he is largely too lost in his own internal self-hatred to be worthwhile as a mentor. He will teach his apprentice what he knows, but due to his past of being held back due to injuries and not meeting expectations, he will likely not prepare his apprentice to the extent that would be standard. He will struggle to be supportive on an emotional level as well, not having the social skills to connect in deep, meaningful ways and relying mostly on surface level conversation. If you want to be neglected unintentionally, Lostgaze might be your man.
past apprentices: n/a
Desired apprentice type: On an OOC level, someone who wants a bit of a loser mentor. IC I'm down for any dynamic! Average response time: 2-3 weeks on training threads, and am willing to shorten that as needed. Status: Available
Character name:Kestrelcall Character Clan: TC Mentoring style: Kestrelcall's mentor did not train her personally until her 9th moon. Before then, she was told to run laps around the territory and teach herself about the world by exploring it for herself. She managed to do surprisingly well in this enviroment, her go-getter attitude and curiousity pushing her to embrace the freedom her mentor offered her (neglect). She will train her apprentice in a similar way, but without the isolation involved. She will be with her apprentice, but their experience will be largely guided by her apprentice's whims. If they want to fight, she'll spar with them and provide little instruction between bouts. If they want to hunt, she'll watch them from the foliage as they practice the task largly on their own, letting them fail over and over. The little instruction she does give will be primarily quips and insults.
past apprentices: n/a
Desired apprentice type: Either someone who is independent and will succeed in Kestrelcall's hands off style of mentoring, or someone timid and insecure who will be completely and utterly failed by her. Preferably someone who does *want* to succeed, even if Kestrelcall isn't super adept at helping them get there. Average response time: 2-3 weeks on training threads, and am willing to shorten that as needed. Status: Reserved, will mentor Sparrowkit Character name:Mallowfrost Character Clan: RWC Mentoring style: Mallowfrost is desperate to prove herself, and will use any chance to do so. Accordingly, she will have grand expectations for her apprentice. She is tireless and intense in her training, emphasising combat and martial prowess above hunting or more humble pursuits. Given her young age, she will likely be treating her apprentice more like a "little sibling" than existing as an "adult" mentor to a "child" apprentice. Her criticism will be scathing, and her praise must be earned.
past apprentices: troutfur (NPC)
Desired apprentice type: someone who wants to succeed and get buff. I would prefer her have a high-achieving apprentice who wants her approval or to become a good fighter than someone lazy/fearful. Average response time: 2-3 weeks on training threads, and am willing to shorten that as needed. Status: Unavaliable, currently mentoring shadowpaw
Character name:Merlintail Character Clan: LichenClan Past apprentices: Shrikesong Mentoring style: Merlintail focuses on more agility, reflective, or opportunistic kinds of training rather the brute-forcing one's way through hunting or fighting. She expects results, but not perfection. Desires to see her apprentice grow into their own and develop their skills rather than setting them up for failure. With promise and demonstrating those skills, she loosens up.
Desired apprentice type: Merlintail would be best suited for apprentices with the same kind of attitude she held as one. Hardasses. An eagerness to please and visible drive to learn would be met with increasing leniency and warmth. Lessons become less strict, there is a sense of a connection further than merely mentor and apprentice. Although, giving her an apprentice who is none of these things would also be fun and lead to her having to find a different method of teaching and truly reflect on how she was trained/raised by her own mentor. Status: Unavaliable - currently mentoring Eelpaw
Average response time: Usually within the same week, could be 1-2 week at the latest.
Character name:Swallowfrost Character Clan: Thistleclan Past apprentices: Blackfrost Mentoring style: Swallowfrost is tough and expects any apprentice assigned to her to pull their weight. She's quick to grow frustrated, toss out menial tasks for punishment and if truly annoyed enough, might go as far as to delay lessons. It's evident to any older warrior that she is trying too hard as a first-time mentor.
Desired apprentice type: Either an apprentice who'll mouth back or one who's personality will greatly clash with hers! She's your gal if you're looking to detest your mentor <3. Stauts: Unavaliable - currently mentoring Brightpaw
Average response time: Usually within the same week, could be 1-2 week at the latest.
Character name:Tigerpool Character Clan: Redwood Clan Mentoring style: Tigerpool is a senior, experienced warrior and mentor alike. He excels in the art of fighting and can recognize and adjust to most any fighting style. In the past, Tigerpool has worked with troublesome apprentices and his experience as a father has equipped him for most any kind of attitude. Desired apprentice type: Any type of apprentice but would like to avoid apprentices / characters that are lazy and the roleplayer does not want that to change because Tigerpool's character would definitely push them; There might be a conflict in narrative there. Tense situations and dynamics are fine but I would like there to be some sort of character development by the end of their relationship. He could probably graduate an apprentice early. Past Apprentices: Shrewfur,Ravenfeather, Flickerpaw (deceased), Lionpaw (deceased) Availability: Unavailable
Character name:Larchtail Character Clan: Redwood Clan Mentoring style: Larchtail is an inexperienced mentor who is very kind, shy, and meek. She will try her best but easily buckle to a stronger personality type. Desired apprentice type: Any type of apprentice but it would be cool to find someone that encourages growth in her character (more likely through support than conflict). It is very unlikely for her to graduate an apprentice early so if that's your goal, I'd seek narrative support from other characters. Past Apprentices: N/A Availability: Available
Character name:Juniperfang Character Clan: Thistle Clan Mentoring style: Juniperfang is a stern and dedicated mentor with high expectations but also, high reward and passion in her relationships. Desired apprentice type: An apprentice looking to graduate early or has a lot of passion. Past Apprentices: Ivoryleap Availability: Reserved
Character name:Leopardface Character Clan: Lichen clan Mentoring style: Overall leopardface is a hard mentor that pushes his students so that he reflects well within the clan. He puts on an attentive face but have very little genuine emotion or connection to any of his apprentices (and would quickly throw them to the rocks if need be). The tom has a reputation for being a bit ruthless if not unhinged in the clan, but his demeanor is overall attentive, warm if need be, and charismatic. If you want some trauma, or just a strong warrior, he's your guy. Desired apprentice type: Any type of apprentice. Past Apprentices: Mothshine, Wildclaw Availability:
Character name:Pearlfeather Character Clan: Lichen clan Mentoring style: Pearlfeather is a very old, cool aunt kind of figure with a lot of patience (and a lot of distaste for Minnowstar's regimen). She is overall pretty lazy and not the best fighter, usually defensive and uses the opponent's energy against themselves. However, she is a wonderful fisher! If you want a lot of old school wisdom and cheesy metaphors she's your gal Desired apprentice type: Any type of apprentice Past Apprentices: Cicadapaw (archived) Availability: Available
Character name:Mothfern Character Clan: Thistle Mentoring style: Mothfern is a poor battler, ok hunter, good den builder / camp reenforcer. He's a smart guy and can probably train better than he fights himself. Overall Mothfern is very patient and kind, but if an apprentice wanted to take advantage of him he'd probably let them step all over em'. Desired apprentice type: Any type of apprentice. He could maybe graduate an apprentice early with big brain. Past Apprentices: Frostrike Availability: Unavailable
Average response time: ~1-2 weeks for apprentice training. Apprentice threads are my biggest priority out of all thread types and I can respond to them at least once a week if needed. In addition, I can do a speed thread in a week but try and avoid that situation. I would prefer to train 4 max at a time!
Character name:Fogheart Character Clan: Lichenclan Mentoring style: Fogheart cares very deeply about making sure that his apprentice learns what it means to be honorable, respect the code, and follow the guiding light of Starclan. This means he will be patient and thoughtful. He puts a lot of importance into duty and morality, even at the cost of his own life and those that are important to him. Due to the turmoil Lichenclan has gone through, Fogheart is jaded regarding who he trusts and wants to do anything he can to ensure that the clan is strong again. An apprentice would have heavy expectations placed upon them, but he would also be a caring mentor who would devote his time to teaching. Desired apprentice type: Any! Fogheart's approach might differ depending on if he had a shy or bold apprentice, etc. But I'm open to any dynamic.
Currently Mentoring Cheetahpaw
Character name:Copperhawk Character Clan: Lichenclan Mentoring Style: Copperhawk was trained by a psychopath, and it will show in how he treats his own student. He will (try to) be ruthless in terms of learning to fight. He'll have extremely high expectations in terms of his apprentice doing their duties, and committing themselves to becoming a prime examples of a fierce Lichenclan warrior. He will undoubtedly reinforce traditionalist ideals. Desired apprentice type: Copperhawk thinks he's hot shit. (He is tho.) I'm ok with any dynamic for an apprentice, but it could be really fun to have a student that is not gonna live up to his standards. Or, one that becomes his biggest fan and encourages all of his awful behaviors could be good too - he'd definitely return the favor. Or even one that is both! But really anything is ok, since it would be his first apprentice, there would be challenges on both sides regardless. Upon Request
Character name:Spruceshade Character Clan: Thistleclan Mentoring style: Spruceshade is a sneaky boy that enjoys being active out in the forest. He has good skills to impart, and he is a very traditional TC cat in that he doesn't overly care much for the code or Starclan. He doesn't care about gossip, avoids drama like the plague - unless he can't because of his crazy family - and focuses most of his energy on ensuring that Thistleclan is secure. He cares about his duties as a warrior, but definitely believes that a Thistleclan cat should be prepared for change. He has seen a lot happen to TC in his lifetime, and that is mirrored in his preparedness and ability to adapt. Because he has had to do that alongside the clan many times. Getting through to him emotionally takes time and effort, so it would take time to form a bond with an apprentice - and depending on the cat's views it might never happen. But, once formed he is a loyal friend. Previously Mentored: Turtledove, Hollyblossom & Kitestorm.
Desired apprentice type: Any! Hit me up with any idea.
Upon Request
Character name:Woodfrost Character Clan: Redwoodclan Mentoring style: If you want Woodfrost as a mentor, please be prepared for dramatic entrances, being ordered around, and lots of combat training. That being said, Woodfrost cares a lot about training apprentices so he will do everything he can to make his apprentice the best warrior they can be, that adheres to the warrior code and understands the importance of Redwoodclan's roots as great warriors. Previously Mentored: Rowanflame, Milkblaze & Gorsegaze
Desired apprentice type: Wood is a dramatic kinda guy so, honestly for him any apprentice he takes I would want to make sure that we develop a juicy plot for. He has already taken an apprentice that drastically disappointed his expectations so not really looking for that sort of plot again. Any other ideas I am open to!
Mentoring style: If your kid is on the softer side, and needs encouragement from a mentor that isn't going to focus on combat, Light is for you. She cares about emotional wellness and keeping the clan together, so training would focus more on morality, chores and hunting. She's mothering by nature.
Previously Mentored: None
Desired apprentice type: One that can vibe well with her own personality, preferably mollies.
Mentoring style: Honeyblaze is an adventurous boy that loves being out and about in the clans territory. Where other cats see potential food, he sees life that he likes to observe. He knows the secrets of the redwood forest intimately. While not prone to violence, he is confident in himself and his abilities and would want to instill that in an apprentice - but he might not be the best at it? Time will tell! Expect lots of tree climbing, running, sparring and hunting. Maybe some heart-to-heart moments, if the relationship grows well.

Average response time: If I'm a mentor, those threads get priority. Weekly posts, if not more, so as to get the apprentice requirements done as soon as possible, so that you can focus on any other plotting you want done while they are young.
Character name:Loudstorm Character Clan: RedwoodClan Mentoring style: Fatherly, he believes that everyone can achieve the best. Also realistic. If a cat is to survive life as a clan cat/warrior they need to learn how to fight and defend, and know that the reason for the battle is protecting what is loved Desired apprentice type: N/A Average response time: 4-ish weeks Available
Character name:Leafdapple Character Clan: RedwoodClan Mentoring style: Fun, easy going, but would still provide some challenges. Encouraging and not critical. Overall a well rounded warrior, and would provide her apprentice with good basics to make them a well-rounded warrior. Desired apprentice type: N/A Average response time: 4-ish weeks Available
Character name:Aspenfoot Character Clan: RedwoodClan Mentoring style: Tough and hardworking. He will expect his apprentices to put forth effort, although he isn't heartless. Character name:Eaglefang Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Extremely tough and serious. Life is all about survival and those who don't take that seriously aren't worth his time. Will be mean and hard. He lingers on the edge of cruel, but doesn't cross it although some may feel like he is to tough/serious. Desired apprentice type: N/A Average response time: 4-ish weeks Past apprentices: Featherfox, Oriolemask, Silverpaw (did not complete training before leaving clan) Unavailable - current apprentice Cloudpaw
Character name:Froststrike Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Due to his deaf-ness, he teaches by example. He shows how to do something and expects others to just see what he is trying to show. He can get frustrated and just walk away if a cat doesn't get what he is trying to teach after the first couple of examples. Desired apprentice type: N/A Average response time: 4-ish weeks Past apprentices: None Available
Character name:Sparrowheart Character Clan: LichenClan Mentoring style: Happy go-lucky, Sparrowheart wants his apprentice to have fun learning. Post the war and post Minnow, he doesn't want their training to be focused on holy and righteous war, but rather on improving LichenClan as their home. Desired apprentice type: N/A Average response time: 4-ish weeks Past apprentices: None Available
Character name:Shrikesong Character Clan: LichenClan Mentoring style: Shrikesong will see her mentorship as an opportunity for her to show her worth as a warrior. Likely in an attempt to avoid her arranged mateship Shrikesong will attempt to spend most of her time training her apprentice or doing other warrior duties. While she wants to train up a competent warrior, she won't be harsh with them. She will expect dedication and practice from them. Desired apprentice type: N/A Average response time: 4-ish weeks Past apprentices: None Available

Character name:FINCHSTAR Character Clan: rwc Mentoring Style: kind and patient, is much more focused on mental training such as meditation teachings or calming exercises than teaching how to hunt or fight. also likes to use vague or imaginative wordings with his verbal lessons than being direct in what he wants. he likes to create a loose environment to create a freedom that can encourage his apprentices strengths. Desired apprentice type: no preference! Average response time: about a week or two Status: Available
past apprentices: ruefeather, daffodilshimmer, milkweedleaf
Character name:EGRETFLIGHT Character Clan: lc Mentoring Style: very playful, and very uplifting, always there to make sure her apprentice isn't faltering in confidence. but will be strict, and will have a very on time regiment that will almost be militarist in nature. she wont take any excuses, and may be a little hard on her apprentice to a point of nervousness to do bad. Desired apprentice type: no preference! Average response time: about a week or two Status: Available
past apprentices: none
Character name:SALMONFUR Character Clan: lc Mentoring Style: he will be a very open minded mentor, always ready to change gears or take critique. but he is also very bossy, and wont take well to an apprentice disobeying orders. he will be very direct and straight forward in his teachings and lessons, but his huntings lessons will be where he shines (since his favorite thing his hunting), where he will go all out in both making the teachings fun and interesting (expect a LOT of scavenger hunts) Desired apprentice type: no preference! Average response time: about a week or two Status:Available
Character name:RAINSMOKE Character Clan: tc Mentoring Style: will be patient but direct. Desired apprentice type: no preference! Average response time: about a week or two Status: Available

Character name:DANDELIONBITE Character Clan: rwc Mentoring Style: he will be very focused on battle practice, and will be a very strict and impatient mentor. if you want your apprentices resolve tested, battle strength tested, or patience tested, this is the mentor for you. he will not listen to you or respect you until you've earned it, but you will be trained up. Desired apprentice type: no preference! Average response time: about a week or two Status:Available
Character name: Ravenfeather Character Clan: RedwoodClan Mentoring style: Ravenfeather prefers to focus on hard skills that directly benefit the Clan, especially fighting. He tries to be patient but can get frustrated easily, especially if his apprentice butts heads with him a lot. Desired apprentice type: Any Past Apprentices: Dewcloud Average Response Time: Ideally 1-2 weeks, but sometimes I fall down holes where I lose time so definitely don’t be shy to throw me a tag or dm on discord! Availability: Available
Character name: Curlycloud Character Clan: RedwoodClan Mentoring style: Patient and gentle, Curlycloud’s goal is to build up her apprentice’s strengths as much as she can and use the strengths to flesh out other skills as well. Her history would have her enforcing the idea of being aggressive around borders and wary of cats from other Clans. Desired apprentice type: I really think Curly could vibe with just about anyone. She just wants to take care of them. Past Apprentices: Lightningpaw (Archived), Leafdapple (Partial) Availability: Available
Character name: Owlfang Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Owlfang is a strict, no nonsense dude. Though he finds himself fond of his apprentices, he has trouble expressing himself and gets around this by focusing on business rather than trying to be social. He can be stingy with praise. Likes to push his apprentices to make sure they are going to be the best they can. Desired apprentice type: one that won’t leave him :’) but really he’s good with anything. Past Apprentices: yikes… Smokestorm, Velvetpaw (archived), Fenpaw (archived), Ivorypaw (archived), Tawnyfire, Foxpaw Average Response Time: Ideally 1-2 weeks, but sometimes I fall down holes where I lose time so definitely don’t be shy to throw me a tag or dm on discord! Availability: Not Available - Current apprentice
Character name: Squirreltail Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: No guts, no glory! Squirreltail is not interested in accepting anything short of success. Though she tries to be aware of her attitude, her temper is short and she can turn cruel when she gets frustrated. She sees failure as an embarrassment and she does not want to be embarrassed. The performance of her apprentice reflects back on her own capabilities, after all Desired apprentice type: Uhhh she’d really like someone that didn’t embarrass her a lot, but where’s the drama? Where’s the spice? Past Apprentices: Shadepool (Partial), Starlingstep Average Response Time: Ideally 1-2 weeks, but sometimes I fall down holes where I lose time so definitely don’t be shy to throw me a tag or dm on discord! Availability: Not Available - Queen
Character name: Doveface Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Taking a page from his own mentor, I imagine Doveface as a mentor would likely be pretty laid back. Lessons would be loose, go with the flow type outings. He has a lot of trouble focusing and his training will lack structure, but he’s gonna try really hard to make sure the young’uns are ready to be warriors. Desired apprentice type: Probably a buddy he can goof around with Past Apprentices: N/A Availability: Available
Character name: Cricketcall Character Clan: LichenClan Mentoring style: Old fashioned, she teaches balance between being a useful addition to the Clan and still respecting where you stand in the social hierarchy. She aims to produce female warriors that can hold their own in battle that still act like ladies and are prepared to live their lives like their families may expect. Desired apprentice type: Cricketcall better teaches ladies, I don’t think she would do well teaching a tom Past Apprentices: Littlestream Availability: Available
Character name: Pricklepelt Character Clan: LichenClan Mentoring style: As blood thirsty as his father, Pricklepelt will focus primarily on fighting. He will prefer a claws out teaching style with little patience for failure or resistance. Desired apprentice type: Little fighters would be his preference Past Apprentices: N/A Availability: Available
Character name:Graygaze Character Clan: ThistleClan Mentoring style: Task-based training where the apprentice must complete gruelling physical routines while practicing battle moves in their spare time. Mostly preparation for a real battle assessment, but not much hunting. Desired apprentice type: Apprentices that will not break procedure or give up. If Graygaze catches them slipping, he won't be happy. Average response time: 3 days~
Character name:Wavefrost Character Clan: LichanClan Mentoring style: Having never had an apprentice, Wavefrost will be a nervous but intense mentor. Her goal is to turn out faithful warriors. Those who will lay down their life, no question on behalf of LichanClan and StarClan. She will focus on honing strength as well as a deep love and understanding for Starclan. She will spend a lot of time watching and listening when her apprentice isn't doing apprentice duties. The last thing Wavefrost wants is an apprentice who treads with the the Dark Forest. Desired apprentice type: Any are welcome. Loyalists preferred but both would make interesting training threads Average response time: 1 - 2 weeks is always my goal
Character name:Clovershade Character Clan: Redwoodclan Mentoring style: As a soft-hearted individual, Clovershade uses positive reinforcement and open communication to achieve results. She knows what it's like to feel overwhelmed or looked over so will make it her mission to provide a safe environment for her apprentice to grow. That being said, she is also an incredibly hard worker and a perfectionist so while she will support her apprentice it is also expected of them to continually grow and remain motivated. She is a strict stickler for the warrior code and would insist her apprentice be the same. Desired apprentice type: Any kind of apprentice would be desirable for Clovershade with perhaps a bias towards more gentle personalities. Average response time: 2-4 weeks however training threads will always be prioritized. Past apprentices: Frozenpaw
Availability:OPEN
Character name:Antlerstrike Character Clan: Redwoodclan Mentoring style: Antlerstrike isn't one to take much very seriously and as such would be a pretty lax mentor. He'd show his apprentice the basics and if they had a particular interest in something he might direct them to the right cat to talk to but honestly he'd much rather be napping or eating. He's annoyed by talk of war and wouldn't be all that interested in training a zealot nor would he be very strike on learning the warrior code either. If his apprentice shows promise he would encourage them but.. it would probably be by passing the training off to another mentor more interested in training than he is. Desired apprentice type: Any kind of apprentice would be desirable for Antlerstrike though he is lazy a lot of the time and a social butterfly. Either an apprentice who is the same or exact oppose would be fun to plot out. Average response time: 2-4 weeks however training threads will always be prioritized. Past apprentices: n/a

Character name:Sagefrost Character Clan: Lichenclan Mentoring style: Driven, steadfast, critical - all things to be expected from Sagefrost as a mentor. She is cut throat and honest with no time for cats who require more gentle handling. While she is quick to point out your faults, Sagefrost is not afraid to share praise if she believes it's been earned. While it is hard to uncoil her taunt and rigid demeanor, there are rare occasions she can relax and actually allowing her apprentice to make suggestions or speak their mind... don't expect it often though. Desired apprentice type: Any kind of apprentice would be fine for Sagefrost; she wants to help mold as many cats as she can. All hail Minnowstar. Average response time: 2-4 weeks however training threads will always be prioritized. Past apprentices: Chicorypelt
Availability:OPEN
Character name:Wildclaw Character Clan: Lichenclan Mentoring style: As a freshly made warrior if Wildclaw were to receive an apprentice it would be a learning experience for the both of them. This tom would take a lot of his mentor styling from his own mentor, Leopardface who taught him to be sure, precise, and courageous. Wildclaw is desperate to prove himself and will train hard with his apprentice, demanding they spend much of their time together training and leaving little time for much else. Desired apprentice type: Wildclaw wants a cunning apprentice and one who is prone to enjoying a good fight. Average response time: 2-4 weeks however training threads will always be prioritized. Past apprentices: n/a
Availability: NOT AVAILABLE FOR PLOT REASONS
Character name:Featherfox Character Clan: Thistleclan Mentoring style: Very full of herself and self-assured, Featherfox would not be the best of mentors. She'd expect her apprentice to do most of the leg work in their relationship and likely spend less time training than she probably should. This being said; Featherfox would also provide her apprentice with ample freedom to express themselves and allowing them to find what they are good at and work on it the hardest if they so desired. Why limit yourself to being the best hunter or fighter? If you decide all you want to do is be an amazing fisher - by all means Featherfox will support that choice. Desired apprentice type: Any kind of apprentice would be good for Featherfox to gain some responsibility and perspective however; a more laid back cat might be the best choice to start out with. Average response time: 2-4 weeks however training threads will always be prioritized. Past apprentices: n/a
