Massive tabby tom with blue eyes

Tigerpool is a massive tabby tom, often towering over his peers. His build is muscular but proportionate, the tom is neither stalky nor lean with a medium sized tail and sturdy legs. The bulk of Tigerpool's muscules rests in his upper shoulders, back, and through his torso, evening out the weight into a streamlined distribution. In addition, he is tall, making the cat seemless stalky than the average meathead, but do not be fooled.

The pelt of Tigerpool is a black ticked tabby with underlying cool tones amid the greys and browns, and sunburnt ochre as they inch towards the whites of his chest and muzzle. On his maw, white whiskers burst with sporadic sweeps, medium length, to buckle in an elegant fall at their tips. The nose of Tigerpool and his ears are a dirty rose color, though his ears are paler in comparison to the tip of his moist, leathery nose. The bridge swoops with a single, linear slope, that leads to a pronounced and plush nose with hard edges cut with the blacks of its contour.

Tigerpool received his name due to the blue eyes that that cradle abysmal, pale pools- equally un-telling as they are immersive. Thin and black marks line the tom's eyes and his teeth are well-kept and particularly sharp, though not long.

A large scar travels down Tigerpool's lower left flank, though the fur has mostly grown over it. The can still see where the fur parts a bit differently over its intrusion. It switchbacks in a cascading fashion from his back's left side, to over the fibula. Upon close inspection you will see needle-thin, claw mark scars. Tigerpool's own claws are thick but short, with all white-grey claws, none are black.

The warrior's voice is low and smooth, on the warmer side despite his cool-toned appearance. The tom always speaks on equal levels with another, even a small kit. His scent is that of jasmine and running water.

The dichotomy of Tigerpool's maturation and personality brings a lot of confusion to him. Once a reckless tom with hearts and battle, he must become a more experienced warrior. 

Tigerpool loves communicating with other cats. He finds it entertaining to socialize. However, this drains him over time until Tigerpool yearns for the comfort of solitude. To satisfy this, he wakes up every dawn for morning jogs alone. On the surface, Tigerpool's immediate actions have always been swayed by what would make someone happy. However, this has led to misfortune in relationships, especially giving the illusion that the tom is happier and more satisfied than he is.

Tigerpool dedicates time to be warm and playful to his comrades when not consumed in his serious devotions. He has an older brotherly love for his former mentees.

As a warrior Tigerpool has always been a bold individual with little fear and an overwhelming sense of invincibility. Genuinely, he will sacrifice himself in a heartbeat for any cat's life. Some may even call him mouse-brained, but Tigerpool doesn't view himself highly ever enough to justify the pain or discomfort of another. For someone he loves, which is many, Tigerpool will brave the darkest of caves. This trait is most apparent in battle, and Tigerpool will frequently succumb to impulse during times of adrenaline. As Tigerpool matured, he has been able to think more clearly about his decisions, but if particularly moody or temperamental, this impulsivity can take the initiative.

Tigerpool is not an intellect and typically relies on emotional reactions and intuition. Although he occasionally has a good piece of knowledge or advice, typically during a passionate moment, he will be the last to acknowledge it.

Since day one, Tigerpaw was teased for being simple-minded and unintelligent. He struggles to remember phrases, names, and communication. Generally, he will not try to over-analyze or get into the nitty-gritty details. He doesn't enjoy voicing his opinion or making decisions. The times he will object, it's more often from gut feelings than well-polished rationalizations. Typically, Tigerpool prefers following orders to coming up with a plan, as long as it's one his gut can trust. His lack of intelligence is a place of insecurity for Tigerpool.

Tigerpool will have a temper if he has not had a proper outlet for his energy, such as exercising, or is stressed. At times, Tigerpool can also over-invest in things, whether emotional or political, and can come across as dramatic. He feels a lot and often reacts on these feelings.

Born to Fernstep, Tigerpool was apprenticed under his aunt Frostshine.

Frostshine, was a strict and critical mentor. She groomed the tom into a fit warrior, but worked the tom to near exhaustion. Being a simple-minded and instinctual tom, Tigerpaw struggled to follow his mentors high expectations. Every little detail became another nuisance nagging his conscience, and instead of instructing Tigerpaw, she constantly prompted him to think independently. The difference in their teaching and learning styles lead to a lot of unused potential, and Frostshine to grow impatient and frustrated, eventually blaming herself for her inflexibility to teach Tigerpaw.

Despite being a natural fighter, Tigerpaw felt like he was constantly displeasing Frostshine. As her disappointment grew Tigerpool began to neglect his apprentice duties, leaving the forest to hunt before dawn and conveniently practicing battle moves with his favorite she-cat when patrols were called. Frostshine began to notice that Tigerpaw was falling behind, and his natural talents were completely wasted due to his lack of ambition and drive. The tom, under feelings of constant defeat, consistently avoided his mentor.

It was not until Frostshine's premature death, did Tigerpaw come to truly appreciate her. After a particularly bad scuffle between the two, Tigerpaw left in leaf-bare. Searching for her apprentice, as his peers were already becoming evaluated to progress as warriors, Frostshine desperately tried to reach the young Tigerpaw. She traveled through the forest's once glimmering surroundings, now aching with leafbare's whisper. She returned to camp soaked by a torrential downpour, shivering as the winds blew threw her seasoned-pelt. Within two days, she was dead of whitecough.

When Frostshine grew sick, Tigerpaw blamed himself and rested at her side relentlessly each moon. He grew close to Orchidshade, who half-heartedly donated her company but had good intentions in mind. But before she passed, Frostshine apologized to Tigerpaw for her cruelty during his training. Frostshine admitted that in the end, if there was any lesson Tigerpaw should remember, it was to be kind.

After Frostshine's death Tigerpaw was trained by the deputy Gorseheart. Gorseheart's technique and guidance matched Tigerpaw's stride in perfect balance as Tigerpaw found the mentor that would truly cultivate his potential. During this time, Tigerpaw also grows close to Gorseheart's son, Thornpaw (wish ). The two are motivated by oneanother's similar values and strengths. They develop a lifelong friendship.

Tigerpaw was named Tigerpool for the color of his eyes, like crystalline pools.

At the start of Tigerpool's warriorhood, his former mentor Gorseheart died in battle. Heatherstar elected the nervous tom Finchtail as her deputy. Tigerpool was critical of this decision but kept his apprehensions to himself. Tigerpool never yearned to be in a place of leadership or responsibility but resented the young tom for accepting the position despite being, to Tigerpool's judgment, unequipped.

Heatherstar died. Finchstar came into leadership while simultaneously, a new medicine cat was chosen. Tigerpool was surrounded by constant changes and struggled with his position as one of the few experienced warriors. A tom who once lived a lackadaisical lifestyle now had to think about the impulsivity of his decisions and those affected around him.

On an outing to the waterfall, Tigerpool ran into the pretty she-cat Robin-nose (wish ). She was younger than him, so they weren't well acquainted. The two had an immediate attraction and experienced playful flirting before leaving on a mysterious note. Tigerpool continued to think about Robin-nose.

Patrolling with his new apprentice Ravenpaw, Tigerpool joined Rockjaw (Bandit ), and Mousepaw. They ran into a Lichen Clan border patrol, and a skirmish broke out. Tigerpool fought against deputy Hemlockheart (c a n n a ). When Tigerpool was about to strike, the warrior Nightclaw (rain ), ambushed him from behind. In the heat of the fight, Tigerpool turned and dealt an accidentally critical blow to Nightclaw's shoulder. Rockjaw called for their retreat.

After nearly killing another warrior, Tigerpool experienced an existential crisis. He was a strong follower of the warrior code and struggled to comprehend the shame and guilt he experienced. Running into Robin-nose, Tigerpool tried to confide in her, but she assured him that was a part of the warrior's duty. Though her intentions might have been to soothe, Tigerpool grew frustrated. Robin-nose's priority was assessing their feelings for each other, and although Tigerpool did like Robin-nose, he was overwhelmed by his inner turmoil. Tigerpool sought a fun fling to take his mind off the woes of warriorhood, where Robin-nose wanted a more serious lover. The two ended up arguing.

War was officially declared between Lichen Clan and Redwood Clan. The Redwood Clan deputy, Minkfur, died in a tragic mudslide. Tigerpool's apprentice-hood ex-girlfriend Redfox took place as deputy.

Tigerpool did not attend the full moon gathering where Hemlock sought shelter, and aid for tribe, but he disagreed with Finchstar's decision to harbor a stranger. They could barely care for themselves, let alone shelter outsiders beyond the code. Though Tigerpool was not vocal about his frustrations, he experienced tension between himself and one of his best friend's Loudstorm (moony ), who followed in tandem with Finchstar.

Finchstar, Orchidshade, Loudstorm, and his sister Smallpaw left the island to help the tribe cats. In search of the tribe cat Hemlock, Minnowstar launched an attack on Redwood Clan's camp, claiming him to be a demon. Once again, Tigerpool fought Hemlockheart. Without mercy, Hemlockheart dealt a devastating blow across the vital points of Tigerpool's legs and underside. Darkness beckoned the tom as he bled out and onto the battlefield. Seeing Tigerpool's limp body on the floor, Redfox stepped in and fended off Hemlockheart. Robin-nose rushed to Tigerpool's rescue where together they lay in the medicine cat's den until the last of the Lichen Clan retreated.

After saving his life, Tigerpool and Robin-nose agreed to remain friends. Yet, during his near-death experience, Tigerpool realized life's fleeting essence. He fell in love with Robin-nose. While sunning on a rock, he relished in her company, alive and with the one he cherished. Though she only wanted a platonic relationship, the warrior swore to wait for her, even if it meant forever.

They did not remain 'friends' forever. Though they tried to be casual, it was often awkward and messy. Eventually, the two helped instigate a kerfuffle of jealousy between themselves, Dawnlight (Annie ), and Loudstorm. While trying to casually 'flirt', they actually uncovered a difficult dynamic writhe with miscommunications and hidden desire. After that event, Tigerpool and Robin-nose confessed their feelings once more, this time in parallel. They took their relationship slowly until passion seized them wholly.

Tigerpool continued his training with Ravenpaw. Over time, they forged a strong relationship and the tabby warrior was so invigoratingly proud of his smart and talented apprentice. Soon, Ravenpaw earned his warrior name, Ravenfeather. After, the two stayed close with their familial-like bond.

After losing against Lichen Clan, Redfox prioritized training their recruits, including current warriors. During this time, Tigerpool took a patrol consisting of the young warriors Leafdapple (moony ), and Ruefeather (wish ). Tigerpool tried his best to instruct and polish his comrade's skills, but Ruefeather was incompliant. The black and white tom confessed that he didn't believe in the wars and had no interest in fighting; it was all a perpetual cycle of violence. Tigerpool was frustrated. Had his efforts been for nothing? Yet, he wasn't smart enough to craft an articulate reply. The training session ended, and Tigerpool felt defeated.


The yellow-cough from the islands spread. Robin-nose and Tigerpool fell critically ill with severe cases of red-cough. Together they healed in the medicine cat's hollow and leaned on one another's love and dedication. Despite the unlikely odds, they both miraculously survived. Tigerpool's sister and the medicine cat apprentice, Smallpaw, did not.

Word quickly spread of a Lichen Clan attack. The warrior Shadowface and Briarfall came to warn Redwood Clan of Minnowstar's plans. They prepared for war, launching from the canopies.

Together they fought against Sedgeshadow (c a n n a ) and Flashfang (lightning ), who ganged up against him while Icesong easily side-stepped the swipes. Tigerpool acted like a shield and took hits until he grew weary from his loss of blood. Icesong helped bring Tigerpool back to camp.

Redwood Clan began taking in refugees. Tigerpool had mixed feelings about this. He didn't like sharing resources and harboring enemy cats, but he also empathized that Lichen Clan was an unstable clan that was cruel to their cats, and neglected the warrior code.

Much to his delight, at the end of the season 2021 Robin-nose confessed that they would be having kits. Though she was nervous, Tigerpool soothed her. He was inspired with his newfound reason to protect, and knew they'd create the most beautiful, strong, and resolved children the forest had seen. They were named Rook-kit (Raven~ ), Milkweedkit (Wolfie ), and Fawnkit (Egotistic ).

Despite being a father, Tigerpool also had to balance his mentoring duties. Tigerpool was given the apprentice, Ravenfeather's son, Lionpaw. Lionpaw had the physical prowess, strength, and abilities of a prodigy. Tigerpool was enamored by his potential but, in turn, also failed to provide the strict boundaries and proper guidance that Lionpaw needed to excel. Lionpaw only liked to grapple, which Tigerpool supported out of his own selfish interests, but the aprpentice scoffed at tracking and hunting. As Tigerpool began to realize his mistakes, he postponed Lionpaw's graduation.

Though he only heard about it through word of mouth, the apprentice Mallowpaw (lightning ), attacked and bullied Tigerpool's daughter Rookpaw. Tigerpool didn't know the details of the situation, but grew frustrated with Rookpaw's mentor, the pacifist Ruefeather, for not properly demonstrating warrior skills. His daughter would need to defend herself.

One day Ruefeather sought out Tigerpool for his forgiveness. Tigerpool generally understood despite the frustration he fostered, though, after Ruefeather's apology, it was more targeted towards Mallowpaw and Icesong than Ruefeather. Still, Tigerpool partially blamed Ruefeather for not training his daughter and worried what would happen given a more severe situation, like fighting against and enemy or a fox. Tigerpool agreed to help Ruefeather brush up on his fighting skills.

Icesong led a raid into Lichen Clan camp. Tigerpool was nervous because it would be his first battle with one of his children. Though much to his relief, Fawnpaw was independent, a strong fighter, and already forming solid relationships with her peers.

Tigerpool partnered with Icesong to fight against Minnowstar (wish ) and Flashfang. Halfway through the battle, it took a tragic twist, and Minnowstar unveiled to be housing rogues on their borders. The rogue Lily (rain ), joined the fray, Icesong was knocked unconscious, and they called for a retreat. In the same battle, Tigerpool's apprentice Lionpaw was killed.

Tigerpool blamed himself. He could barely talk to his friend and former apprentice Ravenfeather, festering so much guilt. Ravenfeather fell into a deep depression, having lost his mate and a child alike.

In the comforts of their camp, Redwood Clan was attacked in the middle of night. Lichen Clan and the rogues ambushed Tigerpool and his family as Robin-nose, he, and Rook-paw fought against Lupinedusk (budgie ), Perchpaw (Egotistic ), and Falconfire (c a n n a ). The attackers left but only after Finchstar lost a life.

In the final battle, Tigerpool fought alongside Ravenfeather against Salmonfur (rain ) and Shrikesong (moony ). They are victorious against Minnowstar's regimen. In the battle, Tigerpool's close friend Thornfall dies.
