GENERAL CEREMONY RULES
1. A character moves up in the following ranks when they meet the necessary thread requirements detailed under each tab:
- Apprentice
- Warrior
- Tribe (To-be, Fledgling, Tribe-member)
2. A character who submits an accepted Faction Change Request may also need to complete training threads to earn specific rights within their new faction. See the Faction Change tab above for more details.
3. All training threads must be finished to meet the requirements. A finished thread must be 6 posts in length and reach a narrative conclusion.
4. The following ranks are earned without a ceremony request when certain requirements are met:
- Any high position: High positions are determined via a HP Audition
- Queen: Warriors become queens after having kits via the Litter Request Rules
- Elder/has-been: Characters become an elder/has-been after choosing to willingly retire, remaining a playable character, or by completing a Character Retirement Request, shifting to a semi-NPC role.
5. You are responsible for ensuring your character reaches their necessary thread requirements, so plan and plot accordingly.
Note: Mentors are required to post once a month in training threads (See the Mentor Thread for more details). If your apprentice's mentor has gone inactive or is not actively working with you to meet your requirements, please reach out to a staff member to be reassigned or find alternative threads.6. Once your character has met the necessary requirements to move up in rank or earn a faction specific right, you must post in the character's clan or tribe request thread before they can officially be roleplayed under that rank or earn the right. Forms for the request are located in the individual Clan, Tribe, or Tunnel Cat request threads.
7. Once a staff member approves your request, you are free to play your character under their new rank or with their new right.

APPRENTICE CEREMONY REQUIREMENTS
1. Kits can become apprentices after they meet the following two requirements:
- Reach 6 moons old
- Participate in at least one thread
2. Kits may receive their apprentice ceremony early by meeting the following requirements.
Kits can become apprentices earlier than 6 moons if they:3. Once your kit has reached the aforementioned requirements, please request their apprentice ceremony in the appropriate board for approval.
a. DM the Clan staff representative (found in the Newbie Guide) before they reach 6 moons for approval
b. Plot with their parents
c. Complete all of their ceremony requirements
d. Complete an additional thread proving why they should become an apprentice early (perform a heroic deed, finish an impressive assessment, etc.)
4. Once your request has been approved, the kit will be assigned a mentor (your selection or staff pick) and may be played as an apprentice after their IC ceremony date.

1. Apprentices must be at least 12 moons old to become a warrior. Characters who are still apprentices when they age to 15 moons will be 'Auto-Ranked' (See rule 5 for more details).

Apprentices created between 8 to 10 moons must finish 2 threads total:
- 1 finished thread with their assigned mentor
- 1 finished thread with any warrior, apprentice, etc.
Apprentices created at 11 moons or older must finish 1 thread total:
- 1 finished thread with their assigned mentor
4. Once your request has been approved, you may play the apprentice as a warrior.
5. If the warrior ceremony is not requested by the time an apprentice is 15 moons, the character is 'Auto-Ranked'.
a. Starting at 11 moons, the player will be dm'd with a reminder that their character will be auto-ranked up at 15 moons of age.6. Apprentices age 13+ who have not submitted or have a "pending" ceremony request remain at 0 age modifiers and are unable to redeem expanded modifier stats until they have an approved warrior ceremony.
b. If the request is still not complete at 15 moons, the character is moved to warrior rank and the player is asked to submit a pending ceremony request until the requirements are complete.
c. Once the ceremony requirements are complete the member may update the request and notify staff for approval.

TRIBE MEMBER REQUIREMENTS
1. Unlike warriors, to-bes must complete two stages of training before they can become a full member of the tribe, which has both age and finished training thread requirements.
Stage 1: To-be's train as both prey-hunters and stone-guards until they are chosen to pursue one path at 12 moons of age.
Stage 2: Known as the fledgling stage, to-bes then train under their decided path as either a prey-hunter or stone-guard until they become a full tribe member at 18 moons old.
STAGE ONE REQUIREMENTS
1. To-bes must be at least 12 moons old to become a fledgling trainee.
2. To-bes may receive their fledgling ceremony early by meeting the following requirements.

Tribe characters cannot start earning stats until all of their training is finished.

c. Once the ceremony requirements are complete the member may update the request and notify staff for approval.
STAGE TWO REQUIREMENTS
1. Fledglings must be at least 18 moons old to become a full tribe-member.
2. To become a full tribe-member, fledglings must also complete 1 finished training thread with another tribe mate in their assigned rank.
For example: A prey-hunter fledgling must complete a finished training thread with another prey-hunter.3. Once your fledgling has reached 18 moons and finished 1 training thread, please request their full tribe ceremony in the Tribe Ceremony Request.
4. Once your request has been approved, you may play the fledgling as a full tribe member.
5. If the full tribe-member ceremony is not requested by the time a fledgling is 20 moons, the character is 'Auto-Ranked'.

Tribe characters cannot start earning stats until all of their training is finished.
b. If the request is still not complete at 20 moons, the character is moved to their appropriate rank and the player is asked to submit a pending ceremony request until the requirements are complete.
c. Once the ceremony requirements are complete the member may update the request and notify staff for approval.

2. After completing the threads, go to the appropriate Clan's Ceremony Request thread (e.g. New RWC cat, go to RedwoodClan Ceremony Request) and submit a completed request.
