Ceremony REQUESTS RULES
APPRENTICE CEREMONY RULES
A finished thread is considered at least six posts in length.
Kits can become apprentices after the ceremony requirements are met: The first requirement is that a kit must have at least participated in one thread before their sixth moon. Since kits age faster than normal cats (two moons = 1 month until 5 moons) and have few responsibilities and roles as kits, they have minimal requirements to move in rank.
The second criteria to become a apprentice is that the cat must be six moons old: Kits cannot become apprentices until they have reached their sixth moon. Some kits can wait a moon to become a an apprentice due to an illness, ill-behavior, etc. On rare occasions, such as a clan disaster, heroic deed, etc. a kit can become an apprentice at five moons. The clan leader will determine that if necessary.
WARRIOR CEREMONY RULES
Apprentices can become warriors after the ceremony requirements are met: The first requirement is that an apprentice created at six to seven moons must finish three training threads total. Two threads must be with their mentor, and the last thread can be with any other warrior, apprentice, etc.
Older apprentices created have fewer requirements: Apprentices created between eight to ten moons must finish two training threads. Members can either do two threads with their mentor (or a second with a senior warrior) or one thread with their mentor and one thread with any other warrior, apprentice, etc.
Apprentices created at eleven or more moons must have at least one thread with their mentor and one additional thread (this can be any completed thread) to become a warrior.
The second criteria to become a warrior is that the cat must be twelve moons old: Apprentices cannot become warriors until their twelfth moon. In exceptional cases, an apprentice can become a warrior if the cat achieves heroic status, such as the cat saves a life in battle, or sacrifices their safety for a clan-mate.
TO-BE CEREMONY RULES
Kits can become to-bes after the ceremony requirements are met: The first requirement is that a kit must have at least participated in one thread before their sixth moon. Since kits age faster than normal cats (two moons = 1 month until 5 moons) and have few responsibilities and roles as kits, they have minimal requirements to move in rank.
The second criteria to become a to-be is that the cat must be six moons old: Kits cannot become to-bes until they have reached their sixth moon. Some kits can wait a moon to become a to-be due to an illness, ill-behavior, etc. On rare occasions, such as a tribe disaster, heroic deed, etc. a kit can become a to-be at five moons. The stone-teller will determine that if necessary.
TRIBE MEMBER CEREMONY
To-bes can becomes tribe members after the ceremony requirements are met: The first requirement is that a to-be created at six moons must finish three training threads in both roles as prey-hunters and stone-guards. Since to-bes train with the entire clan in both roles, to-bes can reach their ceremony requirements with any older cat.
Older to-bes created have fewer requirements: To-bes created between eight to ten moons must finish two training threads. One must be with a prey-hunter, and one must be with a stone-guard.
To-bes created at eleven or more moons must have at least one thread with an older tribe member in their desired role and additional threads (this can be any completed thread) to become a tribe member.
The second criteria to become a tribe member is that the cat must be twelve moons old: To-bes cannot become tribe members until their twelfth moon. In exceptional cases, an to-bes can become a tribe member if the cat achieves heroic status, such as the cat saves a life in battle, or sacrifices their safety for a tribe-mate.
Once a to-be becomes a tribe member with a desired role as prey-hunter or stone-guard, the cat must meet additional requirements to become a full tribe member: Tribe members do not become 'full' tribe members until the cat has finished their specialized training in their role. This occurs around their eighteenth to twentieth moon.
From their twelfth moon to their final full tribe ceremony, a tribe cat must have at least two finished threads with another full tribe member.Ceremonies that are not listed, such as medicine cat or leader ceremonies, will occur on a case-by-case basis. Staff will contact the member for more information.
