The Apostles is a warrior cats roleplay based in northern Wisconsin. On Lake Superior, the wild cats have made the Apostle Islands their home. It is on these islands - Rocky Island and South Twin Island - that the clan and tribe cats have lived in a peace and harmony that ebbs and flows with the tide.
But as the tides turn, so does the truce that binds them to one another; and as the water raises, a darkness follows, an evil that will end in bloodshed and violence.
For endless seasons, cats gather at the ancient agora residing in a low ravine. This area is collectively called the Tribe Stone. Consisting of pillared, weathered rocks, they collide together into a gathering space. Within this formation rises a tall, ceremonious stone structure. Here the Teller of the Stars makes their den, and it is used as a tool to summon the tribe to hear announcements from the Teller.
Rising above the center of the Tribe Stone is the Teller’s Den, a rock formation that opens into a cavern. Sound travels across the island with thunderous commands; these unique acoustics exist because of the cave's shape. Within dwells the Teller. The large den allows for cats to gather and injured to rest within for treatment. The top of this den also serves as a pedestal for the teller, and it is here that the leader of the tribe calls and addresses the tribe.
The vast majority of the Tribe's mainland is covered in a rich grassland that rolls with the sloping hills, populated with dense heather, grass, and bracken. The most northern parts of the Tribe island are covered in a dense boreal forest consisting of pines, spruces, and larches, and an abundance of the winter rose, the hellebore. The tribe members have their own, familial dens scattered across the island, from near the tribe stone to the shore, on the moorland, or in the forest. Cats can choose to live in underground burrows, natural rock formations, abandoned logs, or in dense undergrowth thickets.
