The Apostles is a warrior cats roleplay based in northern Wisconsin. On Lake Superior, the wild cats have made the Apostle Islands their home. It is on these islands - Rocky Island and South Twin Island - that the clan and tribe cats have lived in a peace and harmony that ebbs and flows with the tide.
But as the tides turn, so does the truce that binds them to one another; and as the water raises, a darkness follows, an evil that will end in bloodshed and violence.
Much of LichenClan is covered in a treeless shoreline that stretches across the entire southeastern section of the island. This region boasts shore-based plants, such as seaside spurge and American sea-rocket, and numerous shells, lake muck, and dead fish can be found. The rest of the shore is dotted in weathered rocks and stones, which make for relaxing sunning spots for the LichenClan warriors, and old-two leg paths, made from wood, lay abandoned in the sand, while decrepit docks jut out into the water. Near the sea caves, the water becomes treacherous, where waves crash against jagged rocks.
Above the shoreline, a small woodland, populated with birch trees, covers the island. The underbrush and thicket are dense, making it a popular hunting ground for Lichenclan warriors as it carries various mammalian prey and birds. When the water levels are high and the caves are flooded, LichenClan cats reside here until the water levels recede. The land is also a tested landmark between RedwoodClan and LichenClan. The land once belonged to RedwoodClan before LichenClan won it in a battle.
Nestled between LichenClan and RedwoodClan, the Mooncave is one of the few caves accessible from the shoreline. When the thaw hits each new-leaf, the ice in the cave melts into a mystical, temperate pool. At the end of Minnowstar’s reign, the Mooncave was no longer a place for StarClan to commune with the clans. Instead LichenClan continues to hold the site in respect of their traditions and beliefs, using it for their own personal worship. Currently other Clans are welcome to use the ancient cave as a place of healing and paying respects to StarClan.
