GENERAL FACTION CHANGE RULES
1. Characters can change their faction (Clan, Tribe, Outsider) after completing 2 threads based on the specific criteria outlined in the tabs above. Characters can move from:
- Clan to Clan
- Clan to Tribe
- Tribe to Clan
- Clan/Tribe to Outsider
2. Before beginning a change request, please read the tabs above and complete a Complex Plotting Request form, outlining your faction change request plot and characters/members involved. Staff will then coordinate the plot on your behalf. Please do not reach out to staff and/or HPs in a large group dm.
3. Not all factions will be open and/or welcoming to characters who want to join them. Your request may be denied depending on the leader or require additional threads to join.
3. All change request threads must be finished to meet the requirements. A finished thread must be 6 posts in length and reach a narrative conclusion.
4. You are responsible for ensuring your character reaches their necessary thread requirements, so plan and plot accordingly by working with members who match your desired posting speed.
5. Once your character has met the necessary requirements to join another faction, fill out the form in the tab above and reply to this thread for approval.
6. Once a staff member approves your request, you are free to play your character in their new group, and they will be moved over in the allegiances.
7. However, please note that characters may be required to complete additional training threads and submit a Ceremony Request to earn "rights" (mentoring, teaching, etc.) in their new faction. See the tabs above for more details.
8. If you have any questions about the faction change process, please reach out to a staff member.

JOINING A CLAN REQUIREMENTS
1. Characters can join a Clan after completing 2 threads:
Thread 1: A thread explaining and/or showing the reason your character wants to or needs to leave their current faction. This can be a banishment or simply asking their leader to leave, a personal desire to leave because of a conflict of interest, or a want to join a new group for survival. Multiple scenarios are acceptable as long as we're able to discern the why.2. Not all Clans are going to be welcoming to other Clan, Tribe, or outsider characters trying to join them. Their request may be denied depending on the leader, or they may require additional threads to earn their trust. See below:
Thread 2: A thread where the character attempts to join the new Clan by speaking to their leader or deputy, encountering a patrol and asking to join them, or walking into camp and requesting to join. Multiple scenarios are acceptable as long as it shows them physically requesting to join the Clan.
Note: A Clan cat requesting to join a different Clan will carry different connotations than an outsider or Tribe cat trying to join a Clan. Even different Clan to Clan changes carry their own nuances. Use these different contexts to plan your threads.
RedwoodClan: Accepting to ThistleClan, LichenClan, Tribe, & non-Lily affiliating rogues3. Once your character has completed both threads, reply below using the form in the tab above for approval.
ThistleClan: Hostile to RedwoodClan, LichenClan, Tribe, & all outsiders - consult wish to see if you can join TC.
LichenClan: Accepting to RedwoodClan, ThistleClan, Tribe, & non-Lily affiliating rogues
4. Once your character has been approved, they are required to do 2 additional threads in their new Clan to officially earn the right to mentor an apprentice. You must complete the threads and submit a Ceremony Request.
[/PTab][PTab=Join a Tribe]
1. Characters can join the Tribe after completing 2 threads:
4. Once your character has been approved, they are required to do 2 additional threads in the Tribe to officially earn the rank of prey-hunter or stone-guard. You must complete the threads and submit a Ceremony Request.

JOINING THE TRIBE REQUIREMENTS
1. Characters can join the Tribe after completing 2 threads:
Thread 1: A thread explaining and/or showing the reason your character wants to or needs to leave their current faction. This can be a banishment or simply asking their leader to leave, a personal desire to leave because of a conflict of interest, or a want to join a new group for survival. Multiple scenarios are acceptable as long as we're able to discern the why.2. While generally accepting, the Tribe may not always welcome each character into their group. Their request may be denied depending on the situation, or they may require additional threads to earn their trust. See below:
Thread 2: A thread where the character attempts to join the Tribe by speaking to their teller or heads, encountering a patrol and asking to join them, or walking into the Tribe Stone and requesting to join. Multiple scenarios are acceptable as long as it shows them physically requesting to join the Tribe.
Note: A Clan cat trying to join the Tribe has different connotations than an outsider trying to join the Tribe. Use these different contexts to plan your threads.
Tribe: Accepting to RedwoodClan, ThistleClan, LichenClan, Tribe, & all outsiders3. Once your character has completed both threads, reply below using the form in the tab above for approval.
4. Once your character has been approved, they are required to do 2 additional threads in the Tribe to officially earn the rank of prey-hunter or stone-guard. You must complete the threads and submit a Ceremony Request.

BECOMING AN OUTSIDER REQUIREMENTS
1. There are 3 affiliated outsider factions:
- General rogue/longer
- Tunnel Cats
- Celandine
Therefore, there are 3 different ways to become an outsider or join on of the specific groups.
2. Characters can become a rogue/longer after completing 1 thread:
5. While both outsider groups are welcoming, they may change who they accept into their group or treat certain cats on a case by case basis. See below:
7. Once your character has been approved, they are free to roleplay as a rogue and in their new group if applicable.
8. Since threading with a Tunnel cat can be used for Vitality stats, new Tunnel cat recruits must complete 2 additional training threads to learn about their new culture and home. You must complete the threads and submit a Ceremony Request.
2. Characters can become a rogue/longer after completing 1 thread:
Thread 1: A thread showing the character leaving their current faction to become a general rogue/loner. This means they're not joining a specific group, and instead are choosing to live on their own. This could show them simply leaving their group by telling a loved one goodbye, or be a result of a banishment or exile. Multiple scenarios are acceptable as long as it shows them physically leaving their current home.3. Characters can join the Tunnel cats after completing 2 threads:
Thread 1: A thread explaining and/or showing the reason your character wants to or needs to leave their current faction. This can be a banishment or simply asking their leader to leave, a personal desire to leave because of a conflict of interest, a want to join a new group for survival, or a devastating injury that puts them in the Tunnel cats' care. Multiple scenarios are acceptable as long as we're able to discern the why.4. Characters can join Celandine 1 of 2 ways. If they are already in a group, Clan, Tribe, or Tunnel, they need to complete 2 threads:
Thread 2: A thread where the character attempts to join the Tunnel cats by interacting with another tunnel cat and requesting to join their group. Multiple scenarios are acceptable as long as it shows them physically requesting to join the Tunnel cats.
Thread 1: A thread first showing the character leaving their current faction to become a rogue/loner. This means they're not joining a specific group, and instead are choosing to live on their own. This could show them simply leaving their group by telling a loved one goodbye, or be a result of a banishment or exile. Alternatively, they could leave their current faction to specifically try and join Celandine. Multiple scenarios are acceptable as long as it shows them physically leaving their current home.
Thread 2: A thread where the character attempts to join Celandine by interacting with Poppy or another one of her rogues. Alternatively, Poppy or a rogue could ask them to join Celandine. "Ask" is relative as the character could also be forced to join in a hostage or kitnapping situation. Multiple scenarios are acceptable as long as it shows them physically joining Celandine.
If the character is already a rogue/longer, they are only required to do thread #2 since they do not need to leave their current group.
5. While both outsider groups are welcoming, they may change who they accept into their group or treat certain cats on a case by case basis. See below:
Tunnel Cats: Accepting to RedwoodClan, ThistleClan, LichenClan, Tribe, & all outsiders6. Once your character has completed the necessary threads, reply below using the form in the tab above for approval.
Celandine: Accepting to RedwoodClan, ThistleClan, LichenClan, Tribe, & all outsiders
