HIGH POSITIONS & SECONDARY CHARACTERS

HIGH POSITION RULES
1. High positions are leaders, deputies, medicine cats and their apprentices, tellers and their apprentices, and head prey-hunters and stone-guards. They are considered 'high positions' because they are expected to lead, represent, and move the major plot for their Clan/Tribe.
2. When a high position is available, the 'current & available' tab above will be updated and the position will go up for audition.
a. If you are interested in applying for an available high position, you must fill out the High Position Audition Form.2. Members are only allowed 1 high position each.
b. High Positions are selected by staff based on the member's writing ability, IC activity, and desire to integrate into the plot.
3. Members who have a High Position character are required to post 8 times per month. 4 of these posts must be made with the high position character.
4. Members can track their post requirements in the High Position Board (only accessible to HP members). A new thread will be made each month.
5. If a member misses their post requirement for the month, they will receive 1 warning. If they miss their posts the second month, they will lose the position.
6. Inactive months are not consecutive if there is a demonstrated pattern. Members who miss a month, but this is unusual for them, are fine. Members who have demonstrated consistent inactivity will lose their positions.
7. If you are experiencing strenuous conflicts with your RL, depending on the situation, we will work with you to keep the position. We understand that RL comes first. However, if this consistently affects your inactivity for an extended period of time, you will be asked to release the position.
Note: Members interested in a high position must be active and dedicated to the site. High positions are imperative to the roleplay experience; and thus, require members that are both responsible and committed to the role. Consider this before you apply for a High Position.
SECONDARY CHARACTER RULES
1. A secondary character is a character that has risen to prominence within the plot, either through in-character roleplay (Poppy) or through a per-established Canon Adopt or Plot Adopt (Lily, Sumac, and Vega). Secondary characters are not leaders within their Clan/Tribe, but are important enough to heavily impact the site or Clan/Tribe plot due to their influence.
2. Members are allowed 1 secondary character.
a. If you have a high position character already, you are allowed to also roleplay a secondary character. You can have 1 of each.2. Unlike high positions, secondary characters do not have post requirements outside of a regular character activity check, but they will be involved in more patrols and timed threads than most characters. So they must be active.
3. You can obtain a secondary character through 2 different ways:
a. Adopt a staff-designed Canon Adopt or Plot Adopt, which can be a new canon character, a new original character of yours, or an existing character of yours depending on the adopt. They will be identified as a 'secondary character' in the adopt description.4. When a secondary character dies, or steps down from their role naturally over the course of the plot, the player's secondary character slot will be free.
b. Your character can rise to prominence through in-character roleplay, and over time and due to their rising importance, become a secondary character naturally. Staff will contact you if we feel your character has risen to important and influences a particular plot.
Note: Members interested in a secondary character must be active and dedicated to the site. Secondary characters are imperative to the island's plot experience; and, thus, require members that are both responsible and committed to the role. Consider this before you apply to adopt a secondary character.
