SOLSTICE FESTIVAL THREAD RULES
Continuing Fog's efforts to bring back old Tribe traditions, Foxtail is leading the Tribe through another Solstice Festival. This time with a focus on to-be and fledgling related games. Have fun
1. This event will take place across multiple, member-created and driven threads. There will not be one, main Solstice Festival thread. You are free to plot with others and create as many 'Festival' threads as you want as long as it matches the thread prompts in the tab above.a. You can use the prey-hunter and stone-guard themed game prompts either as 1 v 1 training threads, or create a group thread for a large competitive game! Maybe a stone-guard takes on multiple to-be's in a tug-of-war challenge, or two fledglings play coyote and hare together!2. Festival threads can only be created from December 1 to December 31, 2024.
b. Be sure to also read the 'Context' tab above to learn how Foxtail presents the Solstice Festival and invites the Tribe to participate to incorporate into your thread.a. You cannot create a 'Festival' thread after December 31.3. Unlike previously, this year's event will have a focus on graduation requirements and stats! All to-bes and fledglings who finish a thread can use it as a part of their ceremony request, or it can be used towards a stat!
b. Threads, however, can be finished at any time. There is no deadline to finish a thread.a. Ceremony Request & Stat rules still apply! Your character will need at least 3 posts in the thread to consider it finished. So be aware of this for big group threads!4. All 'Festival' threads must contain a variation of [Festival] in the title.
5. Anyone who creates and finishes a Festival thread (at your own pace) can turn it in and redeem a fun "Solstice Festival 2024" pixel award!
6. If you have any questions about the event, please reach out to staff!

THREAD CONTEXT
During the shortest day of the season, the Tribe customarily comes together at the Tribe Stone to celebrate life. A large feast is prepared for the Tribe cats by the prey-hunters, and stone-guards put together games for the young. They traditionally spend dusk until dawn in each other's company, giving thanks to the land and sharing stories of Tribe members long gone.
It is not uncommon for the Teller to receive a message from the Endless Tribe during a solstice festival, usually a sign indicating the upcoming season, whether they promise good hunting or warn of troubles to come.
A fresh blanket of snow coats the Tribe Stone as Foxtail pads to her perch above her gathered Tribe-mates. Mist and Sunrise are in her shadow as she calls the festivities to begin:"Let's all have fun. But more importantly, do your best to win! I dare you to try and beat me."

THREAD PROMPTS
Use the thread prompts below as an opportunity to train your Tribe characters, either for a ceremony request or stat, based on a game of your choosing! All can be played 1 v1 or in a group.
PREY-HUNTER PROMPTSHunting Contest: Prey-Hunters in training can go head to head, challenge a prey-hunter, or cat with lots of prey-hunter experience. Cats have the entire day to catch and bring back the largest prey for the evening meal.STONE-GUARD PROMPTS
Coyote and Hare: Groups of two or greater select a single hare. The elected hare leaves a trail of something (scent trail, sand, small pebbles, ect.) and each player must follow to try and find the "hare".
Obstacle Course: This game is shows a need for speed. Challenge your fellow tribe mate to a race on the Solstice Obstacle course. Jump ditches, climb trees, tunnel through old burrows. Who can reach the end the fastest?
Tag: Groups of two or greater participate in a game of tag. Touch another cat and they'reeee it!Wrestling Match: Grapple your opponent to the ground for a count of 1-2-3 or slam a straight up knock-out. Put your stone-guard strengths to the test and earn some bragging points as one of the tribe's strongest assets.
The Pine Cone Toss: Grab yer pine cone and line up! It's time to see who can toss their cone the farthest away. Will you spin with it in your mouth and let go? Or give it a good one-two-kick with the paw?
Tug-of-war: Using a coyote bone, grab a stone-guard pal and see who’s the strongest. Extra points and celebrations go to the duo that fractures or breaks the bone. Alternatively, you can use nesting material or a giant stick to tug!
Snowcat building: Using well-polished den-building, camp cleaning skills, cats put their effort into some festive fun. Create a cat out of snow!
BIG GROUP THREAD PROMPTCapture the Stone: Composed of prey-hunters and stone-guards, two teams try to capture the other team's "special stone" and bring it back to their own base.If you want to participate in Capture the Stone, please see #Tribe-plotting in the Discord to sign-up and receive more information!
