Cloudkit
Thistleclan
small silver tabby with brownish-green eyes
kit
tom
1 moon
Appearance
Born prematurely at the start of leafbare, Cloudkit is small in stature, and he'll stay small into adulthood. His legs are particularly short and stumpy in comparison to the rest of his body.
His thick, short fur adds some bulk to his diminutive frame, albeit not much. Dark gray mackerel stripes cover his silver pelt from the top of his head to the black tip of his tail. His chin, chest, and belly are a lighter eggshell white. His dusty rose-colored nose and brownish-green eyes complete his muted, desaturated color palette.
At a glance, you would think Cloudkit is a friendly cat by the round, soft shape of his face—and you'd be right to think so. Even his ears are soft and round, sticking up high above his head like a rabbit's.

Personality
+ Helpful
Cloudkit is always there to offer a paw or a shoulder to cry on, even for cats he doesn’t know all too well. As much as he loves helping others solve their problems, he has difficulty acknowledging or expressing his own, happier to listen than to talk about himself, and willing to put himself in harm’s way if it will benefit someone else.
+ Tidy
After his mother’s death, Cloudkit becomes concerned with keeping himself and his sister well-groomed, and his spaces tidy just as his mother had always done. By idealizing and embracing her role as a caretaker, Cloudkit feels he is able to maintain a bond with her.
+ Encouraging
Hand in hand with his helpful nature, Cloudkit is always trying to lift the mood, which might be annoying to some cats, but inspiring to others. A cat pleaser who wants to be liked, he might encourage behavior he doesn’t agree with just to get on someone’s good side.
+ Empathetic
His mother raised him to feel his feelings, to express his emotions freely, but after her death his emotions become more tangled with those around him, like his father and sister. When they’re upset, he’s upset—when they’re happy, he’s happy. Sensitive to the feelings and fears of those around him, Cloudkit will develop a habit of taking on other cats’ problems as his own, emotionally exhausting himself in the process.
- Directionless
Like, literally. Cloudkit doesn’t know his head from his tail half the time, and often gets lost even in the confines of camp. When he’s not getting lost, he’s losing something or someone else, and his clanmates are often treated to his tiny, shrill mews as he searches for his family whenever they get separated. As he grows older, he’ll realize that he’s just as aimless in life, unable to decide on any one ambition, and become paranoid about not having a “purpose”.
- Naïve
While not naive to the point of ignorance, Cloudkit is easily taken advantage of whether he realizes it or not. His view on life is more black and white than most of his clanmates, and he believes all cats are good at heart.
History
After being attacked by a fox, Mistflower gives birth to four kits prematurely—Cloudkit and his sister Rainkit are the only kits to survive. Despite this tragic start to their lives, Cloudkit and Rainkit are greatly loved by both of their parents in their early moons. Their father, Smokestorm, comes by often, although Cloudkit is usually too focused on his mother to notice his presence. The chill of leafbare and the warmth of his littermate are all he knows.
