Bobbed tail, vitiligo
Snailtail is an average ThistleClan tom. Born fully black, he slowly lost his color over time. By now, he’s about half black half white. Instead of normal markings, his black markings are spotty and like a sprinkle of pepper. He is of average weight and height. Another anomaly is his bobbed tail, a trait shared only with his sister Sandypaw. After the flood and spending time with the rogues, Snailtail realized he got his bobbed tail from his true father: Honeybun.
He gets his body shape and size from his mother rather than his battle-hardened father. Although he's of average size, he's lithe and better built for speed, not strength. Thankfully that's covered up by his long, thick fur. But he still bruises easily and gets injured more often than his littermates. When he escaped the rogues, Snailtail is left with a few scratches that scarred over. He wears them proudly and will even brush his fur in a way to show them off.
Despite his haughty attitude, Snailtail will always be cute and approachable. With soft, velvety fur that is thick and warm. Snailtail was designated his littermate's pillow from birth. No matter how irritated he is, Snailtail will always look unthreatening. He's got his mother's large, round leaf green eyes and petite face.

Personality
Snailtail is insecure. He's got a lot to be self-conscious about and things will only get worse for him. His "parents" weren't official when he was born, and rumours easily spread about his birth. As his pelt started to lose its colour, Snailpaw felt less and less like he belonged in ThistleClan. He'll stand out among his peers as an anomaly. Furthermore, he's even missing his tail! Now that he knows who his father is, Snailtail is especially sensitive about his bobbed tail. To him it is a constant reminder of his rogue blood. He fears being rejected by his clan for his heritage and has yet to tell anyone of his secret. He’d rather die than admit to it.
While he may be mean to most, once Snailtail likes someone, he'll do his best to protect them. He'll always stick up for them, no matter the crowd and be a big advocate. His protective streak can be a bit obsessive at times, as he'll fixate on cats he likes and rarely step outside of his comfort zone. He’ll get jealous over his friend spending time with someone else. He unhealthily clings to those close to him out of fear of them abandoning him like Thunderfoot did.
Snailtail has a lot of rage and struggles to deal with it. He bottles up his feelings, hiding them away and instead of thinking about his problems he’ll seek out fights instead. Unhealthy coping mechanisms are his bread and butter. When he’s fighting and feeling the pain of getting beat up, he can forget about everything happening. It’s only a matter of time until he finally cracks and breaks.
While he loathes to admit it, Snailtail is empathetic and rather understanding. He accepts his peers and never insults others based on their appearance. He'll advocate for the rights of his peers, and does not care much about origin or blood. He will pretend to be against rogues or follow along with popular opinions until he has a friend he needs to protect. Snailtail will stand up for his friends but not himself.
History
2022
Born in the middle of a war, under new uncertain leadership and with the hanging omen of the blood moon, Snailkit's got a rough road ahead of him.
Snailkit along with his siblings Streamkit, Slushkit and Sandykit, are be born to Cinderfeather and Thunderfoot. With a black pelt and green eyes, Snailkit takes after his "parents" but unbeknownst to him, his real father is a rogue named Honeybun. An infamous rogue with a little bobbed tail and thirst for battle.
2023
While things are tense for a while, Cinderfeather and her former mate Blazingfire tentatively makeup and Snailpaw is entrusted to Blazingfire to train. That half of his family isn't so bad, and Snailpaw develops a bond with his half-sibling Fernheart. His other half-sibling Foxclaw still wants nothing to do with him. His apprenticeship goes well, with Snailpaw showing an eagerness to learn and fight. But one tragedy strikes after another as a blizzard rolls in. Snailpaw chases after his sister Streampaw who snuck out during the blizzard, but when he returns to camp his other sister Sandypaw is nowhere to be found. She's taken by the blizzard.
He doesn't have long to grief though, as the snow melts and a flood sets in, carrying him off to finally meet his real father. He along with Slushpaw, Pipitpaw and Silverpaw are trapped with the rogues, and are stuck in a side den for moons. The heat and smell gets to him. The four apprentices plan to sneak out but are caught. Pipitpaw and him try again to escape, but Silverpaw and Slushpaw turn on them, opting to live with the rogues instead of going home. In a brutal chase, Snailpaw fights off his sister Slushpaw, now called Sleek, who would rather kill him then let him leave. Pipitpaw and Snailpaw barely escape and swim the rest of the way home. They find ThistleClan sheltering at the bearstones and bring news back to Stagstar and Firfoot of a new rogue faction forming.
When he gets home, Snailpaw finds Thunderfoot isn’t happy to see him again. His “father” blames him for the death of his real daughter and reveals Snailpaw’s true heritage. They have an aggressive confrontation, leaving Snailpaw with a few scratches on his back that he lets sit until they grow infected. Snailpaw cuts off his mother, refusing to speak to her ever again.
To honor their escape, Snailpaw is named a warrior alongside Streampaw, Pipitpaw and Kestrelpaw. He’s dubbed Snailtail: another reminder of what he truly is. To top it all off, his sister leaves the clan to join RedwoodClan. Not wanting to face his feelings, Snailtail starts picking fights whenever he can. He craves the rush of a good battle.
