Cedarkit
thistleclan
large seal mink point with white spotting and green eyes
kit
female
1 moon
Appearance
Cedarkit is a tad larger than most Thistleclanners her age, something that becomes especially obvious when she's sat next to her much smaller sister. Despite the larger size and eventual height, her frame won't grow to be as strong and sturdy as you'd expect. Instead it will be...not quite thin and delicate, but close. Her paws seem dainty, but the rest of her is well-built.
Her fur holds the characteristic qualities of kit-fluff, but even as she grows the hairs will remain softer than most. The coloration of her coat is a clear giveaway as to her family tree. In time the hairs will darken into a rich brown, but for now it is a light cream. She inherited some of her mother's white spotting, but it's not nearly as extreme. Only her front paws are dotted in the light fur while her hind legs are fully covered. Her tail is thick and fluffy, the end not dipped in white as you'd normally expect, but carrying over the darker colors present elsewhere.
Her face is round and and almost gives something of a chubby appearance, though the rest of her body works to combat that narrative. Her whiskers are long and numerous but can't seem to agree on which way to curl. Wispy fur flares out to cover the base of her ears. Perhaps most notable is the sharp dash of white, which stands out starkly against the darker base of her muzzle. The thin stripe continues past her chin, fanning down into a small collar of white. Round, pale green eyes give a spirited look, fitting easily with the ever confident tilt of her jaw.

From the start, Cedarkit has had a strong tendency to throw her weight around. If she wants something, she'll try and take it. She isn't afraid to voice her opinion or displeasure about things either. She lays claim to the best piece of prey even in the middle of leaf-bare, and will make a fuss if someone tells her not to. She’ll argue that since kits and elders get fed first, she has every right to take it. Small moments like this show hints of a more crafty side, one that focuses on finding loopholes within the rules that she refuses to go against.
She likes telling others what to do, and gets especially pushy with those that don't push back. Her bully-like attitude will only get worse with time as she doesn’t tend to face many consequences from her mother. A stronger authority figure may help to combat this one day, but for now the unsavory behavior will continue.
Though Cedar works to get her way most of the time, there are some lines that she just won't cross. She'll egg someone on and walk all over them if given the chance, but she'll never draw first blood. Attacking a clanmate is against the rules, and Cedar holds the warrior code in very high regard. She feels extremely put out when she gets in trouble for starting a fight, thinking it unfair since she technically wasn’t the first to unsheathe their claws. She admires her father Maplebranch's bravery and tries to act like him sometimes, but it’s really not in her nature, as she runs at the first hint of actual danger. She's still a kit after all, and will rarely put herself in actual harm's way.
In spite of all her flaws, there is some good to Cedar that shines through even at such a young age. The kit has a bit of a protective streak and looks out for those who’ve earned her friendship. Only she is allowed to pick on them, and no one else. If anyone tries, then she'll very nearly claw their ears off. If her close friends are afraid or really don’t want to do something, then Cedar won’t make them. That same courtesy doesn’t always extend to others.
History
Family:
Birchsong (mother), Maplebranch (foster father)
Oleander (blood father)
Meadowkit (sister)
Kithood: Cedarkit and Meadowkit were born in a time of turmoil for Thistleclan. Though you'd never be able to tell in the safe, ever-present walls of the nursery, the clan's struggle with rogues never seems to cease. Their mother Birchsong is an avid caretaker and a constant in their lives, as is their father Maplebranch. Though Cedarkit has already made herself known as something of a bully, there's no denying the makings of a young warrior within her. She admires cats like her father and has vowed to never go against the code, though she may be tested many times in the future. Her clan and family is extremely important to her and she is dead set on living up to their expectations one day.
Unknown to the young kits, their lineage tells a far different story from the one they've been spoon-fed since birth. Though Birchsong is truly their mother, the kits carry the rogue blood of Oleander, an outsider residing within Lily's gang. Rogues are something she despises, though she's only ever heard of them in stories and retellings. They were bad cats that had taken over Thistleclan's home a few moons back, a place that was only just reclaimed in the moon that Cedarkit and her sibling were born. But the stories hold little weight in the young kit's mind as she toddles on carefree and unknowing, living each day simply as she pleases.
