BLIZZARDBLAZE
LICHENCLAN
Heavy-set, snow white tom with amber eyes
warrior
Tom
60 moons
Appearance
STATURE -
Blizzardblaze is quite the hulking menace compared to his lithe clanmates, a mix of his family genes and harsh training in his youth. The tom's bulky build is a testament to the precipices he's scaled, the waters he's plunged into and the many battles and mock battles he's faced in the past. Though his legs are proportionally shorter than those of his clanmates, the tom stands taller than most in stature. Regardless, strength bunches in his stocky legs, especially his hindquarters for powerful kicks and propulsion in the water, though musculature also bunches near his chest (particularly pectoral muscles) for a powerful swipe or pin in battle. His build makes fitting into tight spaces and agile movements particularly difficult, though he wears his strength in battle and runs of endurance with pride.
PELT-
Blizzardblaze boasts a long, full coat of fur, feathery in texture to combat the drenching he often faces whenever taking a dip in the lake waters. This fur of his is often a hindrance in weighing him down in a waterlogged state, though the tom claims that this only helped him build his endurance. His blank coat of pure white fur does well to blend in with both snow and sand, as much as at makes him stand out on a dark night. Blizzardblaze's pelt is littered with quite a few old scars from a variety of escapades, be them medals of honour in battle or a memory of the harsh, jagged edges of stone. These scars, however, are often hidden underneath his long cloak of snow-white fur, with a few pockmarking enough to see traces of his past.
FACE-
Blizzardblaze's face is undoubtedly rounded, with only a few angular features recognisable. His ears are large and tufted, with small to medium nicks littered over their edges. The senior warrior's muzzle is short, yet wide for a harsh and powerful bite into prey or foe alike. His eyes are a bright amber, large in size and almond-shaped, giving the tom's gaze a hint of ferocity. His nose is a soft pink, while his whiskers are long and snow-white like the rest of his pale pelt.

Personality
TRAITS-
Positive -
|| Persuasive | Charismatic | Faithful | Hardworking | Farsighted ||
As with many LichenClan cats, Blizzardblaze knows when best to speak, and what is important to address. Unlike them, however, he is far more talkative and loves a good debate. His interest in the state of the Clan has led him to be rather efficient in shaping the minds of others, giving persuasive arguments for his standpoint when others state opinions he disagrees with. A part of his successful persuasion is his charisma. Blizzardblaze could say he's naturally charismatic, though that would be a lie. Most of his compelling guile has been a trained effort through debate, the tom playing quite a hand in inspiring others and instilling faith in them when their beliefs are shaky. He remains stalwart to his home Clan and the powerful Clan above without faltering, and is a devout follower of StarClan's will and the needs of his clanmates. As such, Blizzardblaze is a hard and stoic worker, who finds his joy in participating in and leading others into work. Blizzardblaze looks not only at the present, but at the future, with efficient judgements that will impact the long term future ahead of him. Blizzardblaze sees great success for LichenClan, and he will do anything to meet that end.
Negative -
|| Condemnatory | Scornful | Argumentative | Obsessive | Assertive ||
With Blizzardblaze's love of debates, however, he can easily become quite belligerent when regarding how others should act. Disagree with an opinion of Blizzardblaze's and you'll know in an instant before it's too late to call it back, the tom eager to draw others into arguments to challenge and shape their beliefs. Despite his seeming open-mindedness to those he disagrees with by opening them up to argue their case, he will always condemn the 'sinners' that go against StarClan's will, or those who don't put in the mutual effort all clanmates must provide. This makes him reactionary to outsiders and opposing clans, making him surprisngly non-diplomatic for a cat with such a silver tongue. The senior warrior is quick to scorn at things he believes to be contemptible, and will often discard viewpoints and the importance of another when they cross the line. His obsession with the discourse of the Clan he lives in, their survival and the many tasks he has to complete has led Blizzardblaze to have a rather secluded lifestyle, his best relationships being with those he can often work with, and with the Clan coming before any friendship or possible romantic interest. His assertiveness, though a part of that shining charisma, also makes him rather domineering and intimidating to those not too familiar with the shut-off tom, distancing him further from any non-work relationships.
GOALS-
Respectfully enough, Blizzardblaze is focused on the well-being of his Clan. He hopes for a prosperous Clan, though his plans include the removal of outside threats in the process. Blizzardblaze is unconcerned with the struggles of other Clans, unless they choose to ally themselves with LichenClan, or if the struggle could put his Clan at an advantage. Blizzardblaze aims to ready everyone for any threat, and to make sure that StarClan will not regret favouring his Clan, as he so believes they do.
BELIEFS-
Since the trials of his apprenticeship, Blizzardblaze has never doubted that StarClan is on his side, and works for them just as he would for his own lifeblood. He is a devout follower of them, and believes that Minnowstar's and Hemlockheart's reign will finally bring about a LichenClan that is utopic.

History
KIT-
As far as Blizzardkit knew, his mother and father's relationship was little more than businesslike. The two rarely interacted in the first place, only truly crossing paths at times where the tom would come to visit his kits and share his knowledge with them.
Blizzardkit was born in a large litter of five, rather indistinctly born fourth out of the bunch. Of course, he was blissfully unaware of his surroundings, to start with. Only a young age, he saw having four other siblings as a great thing, more littermates to play with and talk to when he had the chance... Though it soon became clear that he wasn't making much of an impact on his family.
His littermates would ignore him far too often, would play games in pairs whilst he was the odd one out, while his fatigued mother silently thanked them for the rest from their usual trouble-making. The young tom would often seek his mother out for attention, and though she welcomed his affections the queen seemed hesitant, would not respond as energetically and would often cut the conversation short. Blizzardkit's father, however, would rarely interact with him... Or any of them for that matter. The kits all doted on their mother, while Blizzardkit idolised his father, a tom who seemed so distant from them. He'd see his father come back from patrols, even battles, staring from the nursery entrance as the old warrior passed them by. At times he would visit, share a few guiding words to the young ones and talk about the challenges they would face, and Blizzardkit would simply watch in silenced awe.
Now that was what he had to be if he wanted to stand out amongst his peers. A strong warrior, a noble fighter who could protect their land at a moment's notice. Someone who could stand up to any challenge thrown at them.
APPRENTICE-
By the time Blizzardpaw became an apprentice, he'd already begun to distance himself from his family. It wasn't a personal choice, of course, though the tom had simply not built a strong enough relationship with them to overcome his hunger for improvement. Blizzardpaw made it a point to overwork himself, and still hadn't lost his chatterbox tendencies from the many words he'd lost between him and his parents. He maintained a curiosity with the Clan, vigilant of shifts in behaviour when it came to dissenting opinions.
The mentor the young tom had been assigned was tough and wily, the perfect accelerator for his growth in training. They pushed him to limits he originally thought impossible, scaling rock faces, swimming for what felt like hours on end, racing through the caves that scratched at his sides and battling ferociously in training. Blizzardpaw had earned his strength on a steep learning curve, though overcame the challenges his mentor had put in place. The young tom felt invincible by the time he was reaching the end of his apprenticeship, attributing all those small, cumulative victories to the mysterious nature of StarClan and his hardy mentor, who he came to idolise just as much as his father.
Prior to becoming a warrior, however, many would argue that Blizzardpaw was quite the bully as a younger cat. Working with other apprentices, he would often be too rough in fights, dare them to complete ridiculous or dangerous tasks or challenge them ideologically, the young tom seemingly antagonising others wherever he could. One of the only cats he managed to bond with during these times was a cat he could share his training methods with, Hemlockpaw, an apprentice with the same vigour as he. The two would often argue and bicker, though stuck together through thick and thin regardless of their childish spats.
WARRIOR-
By the time Blizzardblaze was awarded his status as a warrior, he'd become quite the smooth-talker in accordance with intra-clan diplomacy. With such a steady focus on the improvement of LichenClan, his invigorating words prior to battles and patrols hit close to home with many a clanmate, with his focus soon shifting to business as he finally took on the role of a fully-fledged warrior. His primary focus on business had still kept him separated from his clanmates on a personal level, as much as he strived for their well-being in his work. He maintained his relationship with Hemlockheart over the moons, however, and the two only grew stronger as companions and coworkers as they valued Clan improvement over all else.
Being assigned Ashpaw as an apprentice was the tom's opportunity to contribute to a brighter future for LichenClan, and he treated the young tom as his mentor had once treated himself. His methods were arduous, and took a toll in quite a few ways. Ashpaw remained stubborn and distant throughout the training, and Blizzardblaze couldn't help but grow wary of him. He wondered how many other cats had gone astray like the young tom, indignant at the fact that cats were starting to lose faith in not only LichenClan, but StarClan themselves. How could the Clan come to this?
It had to be fixed.
Minnowstar becoming leader was a good sign for the tom who'd agreed that the softer customs had only led them to danger, Blizzardblaze aware of her past achievements against the outside threat of RedwoodClan. The molly ruling over her clan with an iron will was respectable to the tom, and even more respectable was her choice in a deputy. Knowing Hemlockheart for many moons of his life, Blizzardblaze was proud that the point had clawed his way up in the ranks, and hopeful for the Clan's future with two undyingly loyal cats taking their place at the forefront.
By the time Blizzardblaze was assigned his second apprentice, he refused to pull any stops. Ashfrost's descent, or what appeared to be a descent, had been a permanent mark on the tom's personal record. Brackenpaw wouldn't face the same fate. He wanted to train the young tom on all fronts, to be battle-ready, a loyal warrior who didn't have to rethink his faith. Once again, however, he'd fallen short in a sense. The young tabby was soft, and though he packed a powerful blow against an opponent that Blizzardblaze had set up for him in practice, the act seemed to drive him away from battle altogether.
Brackenwhisker had become yet another apprentice who had fallen from grace in the snowy tom's eyes, a will to be ashamed of despite the young tom having enough prowess to eventually become a warrior. Feeling as though the red tabby's potential was lost the moment he'd denounced his strength, the two's relationship worsened over time.
