Tall, rakish, and debonair, Nettlekit is not unappealing to look at and goes to great lengths to ensure it is so. He cares a considerable deal about appearances, if nothing else, and often occupies himself with minor scruples regarding his furs and the arrangement of his whiskers. He is a comfortable combination of his father and mother and has a lean but not too gaunt face. His ears are set a respectable distance apart, and negligible tufts of fur tip each. His eyes are a soft green, and his whiskers are pale and painstakingly tended. One will often find him wearing a particularly condescending or sardonic expression, and he is known to express himself rather flagrantly when upset.

His torbie coat is his most striking feature, and it often leads to misconceptions about his gender, a matter not helped by the equal abundance of masculine and feminine traits. He does not seem to mind it very much and seems to amuse himself regularly by preying on passerby’s deceived by his outward appearances.

Positive Traits: pragmatic, logical, perceptive, and diligent.
Negative Traits: brash, skeptical, selfish, and stubborn.

A blunt individual, Nettlekit possesses little restraint when speaking to others and does so with seemingly no regard for the outcome. He is pragmatic to a fault, has a strong aversion to exposing himself to dangerous situations, and openly admits to favoring a more leisurely life than an honorable one. He does not particularly care for the merits of becoming a distinguished warrior but favors becoming one for the luxuries and exceptions afforded to such individuals and, as such, pursues greatness only insofar as it can serve him.

To his peers, Nettlekit is exceptionally hot-headed and quick to become frustrated and bicker with others. He is not opposed to resorting to violence when pressured and maintains a deeply cynical view of his Clan, their future, and all factions beyond their boundary. He has a penchant for looking down on those who strive for idealistic futures and firmly believes their Clan has failed to properly purge the islands of the evils that transpired before the climax of the Great Battle.

Despite his flaws, Nettlekit’s aversion to labor has forced him to make considerations to work smarter, not harder. His pessimistic mindset grants him the ability to point out the flaws and potential dangers that may exist before any given act; his aversion to unnecessary risks makes him just as likely to spare the hides of others from dangers as his own; his lack of any true ideals allows for more flexibility when managing certain high-risk situations, and he is capable of setting aside his conscience for the sake of a better outcome.

While Nettlekit may appear vain and self-centered, he places a high value on the lives of others, including himself. Despite his sometimes cruel demeanor towards his clanmates, he ultimately ensures the safety of the whole, even if his actions contradict his words. He is willing to risk his own life to spare others when pushed to do so, but he is generally reluctant if it can be avoided. His sense of initiative may seem painfully idle to nonexistent, but it can be stirred to action in the face of a real crisis, where he excels.

These strengths, however, are veiled behind an individual whose first instinct is to view life through cautious and skeptical eyes. He hesitates to accept anything that seems too good to be true and is regularly tempted by the comforts he yearns for; however, that does not stop him from answering the call for action when it comes, however much he may despise himself for doing so.

Season 2024
Born to two fathers and a single queen, Nettlekit was conceived through an agreement made between old friends and boasts three parents as opposed to two. He is the firstborn son, third-born overall, and bears a mixed heritage from the shores of LichenClan and the forests of RedwoodClan.

Sharing blood with the Clan’s former deputy as well, Nettlekit’s start to life has been relatively permissive; however, due to rising tensions, the stability of his future within the redwoods is uncertain. Being half-clan, he and his siblings are as welcomed into the Clan as they are held under the scrutiny of their peers, and though his parents will do all in their power to shield their offspring from the distrust that grows within the Clan’s ranks, their futures hang in the balance as RedwoodClan transitions into a new age following the Great Battle from season cycles ago and the recent surrender of the Bear Stones.
