Chestnutkit takes after his dad in quite a few ways, least of which is his size. A bit runty as a kit, he will never grow to be larger than his dad. In fact, he won’t grow larger than 6”, only a whisker-width shorter than his own dad. However, he takes after his papa as well.
While not overweight, he’s got his papa Turtledove’s plumpness, which will never go away. It really only manifests in his stomach, giving him a larger than average primordial pouch. The rest honestly looks a lot like fluff, which makes him deceptively heavy. Though, not that heavy. He still is a tiny cat after all.
Despite his name, Chestnutkit’s fur is not chocolate or black in any way. It’s actually a fiery red, just like his dad. However, unlike his dad, his pelt is a patchwork of reds and whites, giving him red patches. The biggest one is a patch that seemingly covers his back, and looks incredibly similar to the turtle shell shaped patch that Turtledove was named after. On his face, sits a large patch that covers his left eye, as well as a good chunk of that quarter of his face. His front legs both have similar patches, seemingly wrapping around his forearm and covering most of his paws. His front toes are white, however.
On his back left leg sits a ring of red, one that is incredibly similar to his dad’s ring of white. On his chest, is a weird, amorphous shaped red patch. Beyond those, he has a couple smaller patches on his shoulder, hips, tail, and neck, and his tail tip is red.
Like both his parents, Chestnutkit’s pelt is short. Like Turtledove, his pelt is soft and plush. It’s not thick, however. Actually, it’s rather thin. On his head sits two, longer bits of fur that refuse to stay down no matter how much he grooms it.
Chestnutkit’s eyes are round, almost oval shaped, and they’re a very pretty honey-brown color. His face as a whole is rather rounded, his muzzle is broad, and his ears are a bit small. A small, pink nose sits at the tip of his muzzle.

Personality
+ Imaginative- Chestnutkit is an extremely creative and inventive cat. He can come up with a new toy or figure out how to weave things together to make them stronger with ease. However, this mostly shows in the wild stories he has for… basically everything.
+ Focused- While getting him to focus on something is hard, once Chestnutkit is focused, it’s extremely hard to get him to stop being focused. He can go hours just doing one thing over and over again, forgetting to eat, sleep, or even drink. It can border on obsession at some points, but, as a whole, it’s not bad.
+ Protective- Chestnutkit, like his dad, is extremely protective of those he calls friends and family. With his prickly nature that can be hard to see sometimes, but he’s honestly willing to lay down his life for those he loves.
+ Determined- When Chestnutkit gets an idea in his head, he will do everything in his power to accomplish whatever goal he has set. He will ignore any potential dangers just to achieve his goal.
+ Loyal- While he isn’t entirely loyal to individuals in the clan, he is loyal to ThistleClan as a whole, almost to a fault. He wants cats in power to recognize him as being amazing, which leads him to being loyal to the clan as a whole. He’s willing to die for the clan.
- Chaotic- While a lot of words could easily describe Chestnutkit the only word to really encompass him is… chaotic. He’s loud and unpredictable. One moment he’s sleeping, the next he could be running out of camp to try to find blue squirrels. He has little filter, leaving what he’ll say as a mystery sometimes. He’s a ball of chaos, often leaving confusion and a bit of destruction in his wake.
- Quick to anger- Chestnutkit’s temper is as short as a whisker is wide. If you say anything he deems as a slight, he’ll almost immediately blow up at you. And it doesn’t matter whether or not it’s meant as a compliment. He doesn’t care, he’ll yell at you no matter what. If he deems you to have offended him enough, he will attack you as well.
- Superstitious- With a big imagination and almost obsessive tendencies, it really isn’t surprising that Chestnutkit has a major superstitious streak. In particular, he believes in things like ghosts, star cats, and other cryptids. He desperately wants to catch some of them to prove he’s not insane, and will spend hours in a tree waiting for a pink bird to fly by.
- Socially inept- Chestnutkit has literally no idea what he’s doing when it comes to interacting with others. He wouldn’t get that someone was flirting with him if they slapped him across the face and told him so. He’s just… not good with social cues. And will say things that he should not say- he’ll insult you to your face and not realize why you’re mad.
- Egotistical- Chestnutkit really thinks he’s one of the best cats on the island. He thinks he’s extremely intelligent and strong, and while he is, he’s not nearly as amazing as he thinks he is. He’ll even refer to himself in third person occasionally- ie “The mighty Chestnutkit does not approve”.
History
Chestnutkit is the second born kit to Sparkspirit and Turtledove, who are a rather odd couple in terms of ThistleClan standards. With his papa choosing to be a queen and his dad being a former rogue, his family isn’t normal. But he doesn’t mind.
What he does mind is RedwoodClan. He doesn’t know much, but he knows ThistleClan totally deserves Bear Stones.
