Character Stature: Dawnshadow has a small build that lets him slink into the shadows unseen. He is a bit shorter than the average cat of his age within his clan. 

Character Pelt: Dawnshadow's pelt is short and dense. The white markings on his chest and face extend up to his forehead and dip down towards his belly. His tail is tipped with white.

Character Face: Dawnshadow has a small head with round green eyes. His nose is a soft pink.

Dawnshadow is independent in nature and is often seen alone. He hunts alone, usually patrols the border alone, and dislikes being roped into group activities unless they're really necessary. When in group settings, he'll somehow manage to sneak off or shrink into the edges of the conversation.

Dawnshadow can be quite careless and brash in his initial interactions. He means well (usually) but its only once you get past his tough exterior that he is very sweet and caring and surprisingly romantic and loyal. If he loves you, there isn't much he wouldn't do for you - even sacrifice everything he had never known. Since his heartbreak, it's been especially hard to get close to him. He is unafraid to speak his mind and if he doesn't like someone, he has no problems letting them know. You always know where you stand with him. He wants to be left alone, and his clan for the most part let him, other than his sister.

Since his ex-mate abandoned him, Dawnshadow has sunk into melancholy. He is sad and lonely, and wants to be left alone. Part of him knows that he's got to shake this feeling on his own but he is still grieving his lost relationship and hasn't been able to move on.  

Dawnshadow had been known to be a bit impulsive and adventurous in his youth, especially on his days out around the territory, hardly hesitating to jump into a situation rather than sitting on the sidelines. In time, this has turned into carelessness for his own safety and well-being rather than the bravery it had hinted at before.

Dawnshadow had been a loner since the moment he was born, only really tolerating his sisters presence. He preferred to play alone and go off on his own to get some space. His sister never let him be as alone as he would prefer, but he loves his sister and lets her bother him into being more social.

Early in his apprenticeship, Dawnshadow developed a crush on a young tom from LichenClan. The two had a short friendship turned love that only lasted about 6 moons. Just before they were both set to become warriors in their respective clans, Dawnshadow's lover abandoned him and said that being in a relationship with Dawnshadow was turning his back on his clan and more importantly, StarClan, and that he couldn't do it any longer.

Heartbroken, Dawnshadow returned to his reclusive loner ways and was rarely, if ever seen, smiling since. He respected his ex-mate's decision but that didn't mean it didn't hurt like hell. When he see's the other tom at the gatherings he tries to walk away for his own sanity, but most often he ends up hiding in the shadows and quietly watching his former mate. He has been unable to move on.

Dawnshadow's training as an apprentice was scattered at best. He preformed his duties but didn't much care for learning to hunt or fight. He enjoyed border patrols and going off on his own much more. Times where his mentor sent him on solo-hunts were his favourite. Through training, he became a decent hunter and an average fighter - his small size giving him evasive advantage. He excelled at the sneak attack moves rather than outright fights which also helped him in his hunting skills as Dawnshadow is the type to stalk a prey for as long as it takes.

Distracted by his forbidden affair, Dawnshadow wasn't paying much attention to what was happening on their other border, the one with RedwoodClan. He was a member of some of the skirmishes and fought for his clan when he needed to, but his heart was never in it. His clan took over the Bear Stones from RedwoodClan recently. He would have much rather been at the LichenClan border, trying to get a glimpse of his now ex-mate but instead he participated, even though he wasn't quite sure why the clan was bothering with it at all when everyone knew it would lead to more fighting and war. 

Recently, he witnessed the aftermath of the duel between the now banished Stagstar and Firstar. He didn't like their new leader, despite his promises of protecting the clan. Something about him and his new rise to power seems off to Dawnshadow, but he's too stuck in his own head in his own heartbreak right now to care all that much.
