Litter Context
Turtledove has always been a simple tom, and not quite like the other cats of ThistleClan. He was a softie who cried out for help in his first battle. Everyone thought he was a coward, and Sparkspirit was no different. The rogue-born ThistleClanner Sparkspirit always had something to prove and had no time to spare on weaklings. But on one fateful night with an owl and Sparkspirit found himself strangely drawn to Turtledove. He agrees to help Turtledove on his quest to become a proper warrior.
After moons of training together, they develop a close friendship. Turtledove is Sparkspirit's support and Sparkspirit is his teacher. They are just friends… right? Nope. After a few too many hot and heavy spars, they finally admit their feelings for each other and become mates.
At the battle to reclaim the bearstones, Turtledove and Sparkspirit were separated. Sparkspirit ran to Firfoot's aid and Turtledove found himself fighting alongside Lionthroat. In a moment of weakness, Turtledove allows his combatant to go rescue the cat Lionthroat had pinned. Full of tears and regret, Turtledove confessed what happened that battle to Sparkspirit. Despite how hard he trained, he was no fighter. With Sparkspirit's gentle reassurance, together they figured out what else Turtledove could do to support their clan. Turtledove decided he'd help around camp and offer his aid to the queens around camp. He'd be a permaqueen. And what better way to start than raising his own family with his mate Sparkspirit?

Sparkspirit as a parent
With barely any memory of his own parents, and with no parental figures in general, Sparkspirit really doesn’t know much about what he’s doing. That doesn’t mean he won’t try, however. He’s wanted kits his entire life, and is going to do everything in his power in to raise them with the care and love he sadly didn’t get. This doesn’t mean he won’t be extremely anxious, however. He refuses to lose his family again.
He will be extremely supportive, making sure that his kits that they can always go to him for any. He’ll also be extremely protective of his family, wary of anyone who might treat his kits wrong. He’ll make sure they can learn how to fight early on, and he’ll be more than happy to fight anyone and everyone to keep his family safe.
Around the kits, he’ll start out slightly awkward, yet he will make sure they know he loves them. He’ll regale them of tales of his fights, and he’ll talk about how he and Turtledove fell in love. When he deems them old enough, he’ll explain to them his backstory, in all the gory details he remembers.
While not mean, he’s not afraid to punish his kits for misbehaving.

- Deadline for applications is July 1st, 2024.
- If you go inactive (no IC posts for 2 months) or leave the site, your kit will be placed back up for adoption.
- Do not needlessly kill the kit without consulting Silverfire and captain first.
- If you are unable to continue roleplaying the kit, reach out to Silverfire and captain so we can readopt them.
- If you don't have enough open slots to adopt, don't fret! Captain has a character slot prize they're willing to give out to one of the adopters.
