Appearance
Skyshimmer is not the largest of her peers, but she does suit her clan in size and shape. With a broad frame, strong shoulders, and a barrel-esque physique, Skyshimmer look large and strong. Her fluffy fur only adds to this size. She shares her clan's natural height and muscular build, standing at about 12" at the shoulder.
Her long fur is a mixture of blues and delicate greys, the palest furs lining her chest and belly while her back and head are striped with deep slate tabby markings. Her long fluffed tail is darker at the end and lighter near the base. The base of each furry paw is the darkest of her hues, with dusky rose-colored paw pads that match the hue of her dark-outlined nose.
Skyshimmer's face is shaped like a flattened square. Her forehead is broad, with wide, fluffed cheeks and a prominant but rounded muzzle. Her eyes are soft and green in color, often opened wide with excitement and curiousity. Small ears perch on the corners of her rectangular head, ample white fur spilling from each and connecting to the great white mane that frames her face.

Personality
- judgemental & stubborn -
Skyshimmer holds herself to a high standard. She acts dutifully and with a strict sense of honor, never budging from her personal code of morality. Those who do not follow her values, she judges harshly, and she tends to assume that each individual she meets of a group is representative of the rest of it. Nothing could make her diverge from her own belief system, even if it were a matter of life or death. She will uphold the warrior code and all it stands for with all that she has, and those who act to oppose its tenets will be seen as enemies.
+ curious & intuitive +
From an early age, Skyshimmer was a bright kitten who was always eager to explore. She learned quickly and with much enthusiasm, enjoying her lessons whether they be physical or historical in nature. Regardless of the circumstances, her enjoyment and passion for learning have followed her throughout her life and pushed her to be a natural high achiever, the sort who thrives when challenged and is eager to prove herself.
History
Family:
Mother: Greensong
Father: Dustflight
Littermates: Duskstripe (@ stormdancer)
Mentor: Pollenstorm (@ captain)
Born to Greensong and Dustflight, Skykit and her brother, Dusk-kit, were a small light of hope in the thick of winter. Their youngest moons were spent tucked closely together to avoid the intense waves of frigid snow and bitter cold air, swaddled in their mother's fur. Despite the poor weather, Skykit saw the world as a wonderfully exciting land to live in, ever-curious about the world beyond.
When the snow melted and the rains came, she and her brother romped and played through the camp, exploring each nook and cranny with sodden pelts. Somewhere else, the water had become gravely dangerous - but all Skykit saw of the distant tragedy was many newcomers in camp. She learned of the cats who spent their days and nights deep in the tunnels and of the cats that made the shore their home. Those that lived within the pines were elusive, and for many moons, she only heard of them through stories and the couple of cats that were fished from the floodwater and rested in camp a night or two before returning to their clan.
Fascinated, she begged her kin for stories, and Dustflight told her all about the great war and how ThistleClan had aided them in killing LichenClan's tyrannical leader. Skykit's interest in the history of the island grew and grew as she asked more and more cats more and more questions. The tunnel cats told her of the war and that which came before, and her senior warrior clanmates detailed great feats of bravery and honor in the form of stories. She yearned to know more, to understand all there was about the world.
Finally, she was given the opportunity when, at 6 moons old, she was made an apprentice.
Assigned to a young warrior, Pollenstorm, Skypaw was eager to begin exploring the territory with just as much fervor as she had explored the camp and RedwoodClan's recent history. While Pollenstorm was strict, she was skilled and dedicated, a great fount of knowledge on how to hunt, fight, and otherwise become a well-balanced warrior. Skypaw eagerly learned all she could but found her mentor's historical knowledge lacking. Hungry to learn, she spent most of her spare time with the elders of RedwoodClan tending to them and listening to stories, or prancing around the territory with her brother.
As she got older and ThistleClan's refusal to leave the bearstones became more and more pressing, Skypaw found herself hungry for knowledge. She ventured close to the border, hoping to ask ThistleClan about their predicament and why they weren't leaving. Instead of answers, she met a couple of mean warriors who attacked her and taunted her ruthlessly. When she finally escaped, she had a couple new scars and a deep burgeoning dislike for anything ThistleClan.
Pollenstorm eagerly worked with her to develop those feelings. What once was a young kit, eager to see LichenClan, RedwoodClan, and ThistleClan all share with each other as equals, now graduated to warriorhood with resentment for the other clans and a belief that RedwoodClan alone stood stalwartly in the face of immorality and corruption.
Skypaw graduated before her brother, her defeat at ThistleClan's paws pushing her to try her hardest at each task that presented itself to her. She was bestowed the name Skyshimmer for her trustworthy and dependable personality, as the stars would stay shimmering in the sky.
Since graduating as a warrior, Skyshimmer has only grown more dedicated to her cause. She yearns to protect RedwoodClan from the villains that steal from them and pursues each opportunity to bring ThistleClan to justice. She has not faced combat yet, her inexperience lending her to not join the front lines despite her wish to fight for her clan. And yet, with each day, she knows that there is more that she could be doing to help, even if it's not on the battle field.
