(Redeeming rare trait from here!)
Graceful, beautiful, and unique. Those are the three words that often come to mind when looking at Silvermist. At 8” tall, she’s of average size for a LichenClan cat, but her build is anything but average.
With a long, narrow body, Silvermist is a paragon of grace. Her legs are long and slender, with her hind legs slightly longer than her front legs, though, it’s only really noticeable when she stands as tall as she can. Her paws are small and dainty, almost oval shaped.
Silvermist’s coat is what she is the most proud of. With dense, silky, plush, lustrous fur that she keeps extremely well groomed and free from scars, she’s quite pretty, even before looking at the pattern. She is a downright stunning silver torbie rosette tabby molly, with gingers and silvers melding together in a gorgeous combination. Her tail tip is darker than the rest of her pelt, but not by much.
Her face is round, with a long, broad muzzle. Her tail is thick, tapering to a rounded end. Her ears are slightly rounded and on the slightly smaller side. A trait that has been passed through the Stone family alongside the rosette tabby pattern. At the end of her muzzle, sits a pale pink nose.
Like most of the Sky family, Silvermist sports large, rounded, oval shaped eyes. The overall rounded look of her eyes gives her a rather pretty appearance, which she uses to her advantage. Her eyes are a pretty dark green, the same shade as her grandfather’s eyes.

Personality
+ Polite- As the future head of the Sky family, Silvermist is incredibly polite. She always addresses those more important to her as “sir” or “ma’am”, and never forgets to say “please” and “thank you” when requesting something of or around those with a higher status. She never interrupts those above her, and always acts as if she’s listening.
+ Demure- Like most high class mollies, Silvermist was raised to be demure. She rarely raises her voice towards others, and always acts incredibly modest. If a tom equal to her or above her in status speaks to her, she often allows them to do most of the talking.
+ Responsible- Even before she was told she would be the next head of the Sky family, Silvermist was a fairly responsible cat. She’d always keep herself in line with the Sky and Stone family values, knowing that she reflected on them. This has increased since she has been made aware that she is to be the next head of the family.
+ Pious- Raised to think that her family was blessed by StarClan, Silvermist is incredibly devout, spending at least thirty minutes a day sitting and praying. She believes that StarClan is truly the most important force in the forest, and believes that they are there to guide LichenClan to greatness.
+ Elegant- From the way she walks to the way she talks, Silvermist is an elegant cat. Each pawstep is measured so that she never trips or appears clumsy, and she always picks her words carefully.
- Judgmental- Despite the face Silvermist puts on, she’s an extremely judgmental cat. While she may not speak it to everyone, she sees the flaws in everyone, and often judges them solely on those flaws and their looks.
- Gossip- While one may not see it initially, Silvermist is one heck of a gossip. She really only gossips with a pawful of cats, mostly Sturgeonpebble, but she does it quite often. In fact, it’s rare for her to go more than a day without spreading some rumor.
- Haughty- Silvermist looks down on almost every cat she meets in one way or another. From thinking mollies with scars are ugly to thinking cats who are kind to the other clans are a disgrace to the clan, the amount of cats she sees as genuinely worth her time are few and far between, and most of them are cats who she believes can help her status.
- Traditional- Silvermist was firmly raised with the motto that mollies are the den keepers and that toms should do all the hard work. Because of this, she holds quite a lot of animosity towards cats like Emberscorch and Falconpaw who seem to break the status quo.
- Manipulative- Silvermist is incredibly manipulative, often using her looks and status to get exactly what she wants. She rarely speaks the truth about herself, making her seem far, far better of a cat than she actually is.
History
Silvermist’s history starts seasons upon seasons ago with the birth of the Sky Family and the Stone Family. However, more specifically, it starts with the birth of her grandparents in 2015.
Born on a warm newleaf day, as heir to the Sky family, Shadedkit was often swept away from his litter to be taught the family history.
A moon after his birth, the heiress of the Stone family was born, Spotkit. Like Shadedkit, she was quickly separated from her litter in order to learn the family history. It was during the aftermath of one of these lessons the pair met.
A quick friendship blossomed between the two, one that eventually became a romance. By the time they were warriors, Shadedrain and Spotflint wanted nothing more to be betrothed to each other. Unfortunately, the pair were betrothed to others, and being as duty bound as they were, made the hard decision to break off what romance they had.
Shadedrain was betrothed to Poppysweet, and the pair eventually bore a litter of two in 2018, the eldest being Tealkit. A moon later, Spotflint, who had been betrothed to Ravensong, birthed a litter of four, the eldest rosette tabby being Hawkkit. The two were chosen to be their respective family’s heirs, and, still wishing they were together, Shadedrain and Spotflint quickly betrothed them to each other.
There was never any love between Tealsky and Hawkstone. Neither of them wanted kits with the other, even though they were pushed. They refused to mate for seasons, despite becoming mates in 2020. It wasn’t until the ThistleClan raid, where Ravensong lost his life, that the pair realized that they needed to put their differences aside for the good of their families.
They slowly began trying for kits. However, nothing had taken by the time the attack on Minnowstar happened. Poppysweet died during the attack, slaughtered as she tried to fight. This death shook Tealsky, who had always been close to her mother.
With the war finally ended, and with Tealsky deciding she needed to raise kits and continue the line as that’s the safest thing a molly could do, the pair tried again for kits right after the end of the war. And it took.
Two moons later, in 2023, they gave birth to a massive litter of six. Silverkit was the oldest, and the only one to inherit both her mother’s silver tortoiseshell coat and her father’s spots. Her position as the oldest, and having inherited a spotted coat caused a bit of confusion when she was born. The agreement between Shadedrain and Tealsky and Spotflint and Hawkstone had been that, per Sky family tradition, the eldest kit would become the Sky family heir, and that, per Stone family tradition, the eldest kit with the spotted tabby pelt would become the Stone family heir.
They hadn’t expected the eldest kit to have the rosette tabby pelt she did.
Because of this, while Silverkit’s position as future family head was a guarantee, which family it would be remained a question. Tealsky and Hawkstone ended up grooming her and her siblings for both positions, teaching them the history of both families, alongside teaching them all how to act.
As not only a molly, but possible heir to both the Stone and Sky families, Silverkit’s upbringing was… intense. Play fighting was banned quickly for both her and her sisters, Sturgeonkit, Pickerelkit, and Sculpinkit. The four were allowed to play, yes. But fighting was unladylike.
That statement was one she took to heart. Even when her sisters tried to convince her to play rough, she’d often refuse, opting instead to play queen with others.
She never really minded that Herringkit and Guppykit, her brothers, were treated differently. After all, they were toms. It made sense for them to be treated differently.
Most of Silverkit’s kithood was split between three types of lessons. Sky family history lessons with Shadedrain, Stone family history lessons with Spotflint, and queenly lessons with her mother. Despite this, she never found herself truly unhappy during the first three moons of her kithood.
Unfortunately, while in her third moon, that was when the flood struck.
Silverkit doesn’t entirely remember the chaos of that day. She, and her siblings, had all been asleep when it hit. Curled up in their mother’s thick, soft fur. It had been Hawkstone rushing into the nursery that awoke them all.
Silverkit remembers waking up to him shouting about the flood, and then she remembers being grabbed by the scruff painfully alongside Sturgeonkit by her mother, as Hawkstone started grabbing the rest of the kits to bring out of the den.
She ended up quickly being given to Shadedrain as Sturgeonkit was given to Spotflint. At the time, she had no idea why she and her sister were specifically chosen to go with their grandparents. Now, she understands that, despite the litter being told they were equally loved, she and Sturgeonkit were the pair expected to continue the family lineages.
It only took a few seconds for her parents to reappear, with Tealsky carrying Sculpinkit and Guppykit, and Hawkstone carrying Herringkit and Pickerelkit. Then, the family ran. The swinging was painful, as they were almost too big to carry at this point, but the fear radiating off of everyone caused Silverkit to stay quiet.
That’s when they came upon the rushing stream. There was no way around it, and with time precious, the decision was made that they had to cross. Silverkit and Shadedrain went first, with Silverkit complaining about the muddy water making her dirty. Next, was Spotflint and Sturgeonkit. With how fast the water was, Tealsky and Hawkstone make the decision to take one kit across at a time.
First, Tealsky brought Sculpinkit across. Then, Hawkstone brought Guppykit. Tealsky’s crossing with Herringkit next almost ended in tragedy, with her nearly losing her footing in the still rising water.
Then, Hawkstone tried to bring Pickerelkit across. They barely made it halfway before Hawkstone lost his footing. Within a split second, the pair were washed away, leaving only their haunting screams and the pained cries of the family behind.
The rest of the day is a blur to Silverkit. She barely remembers being brought to shelter with the rest of LichenClan. Most of her time at the Birch Forest was… fine.
Everything continued as normal, except with Shadedrain taking over the tom lessons for Guppykit and Herringkit, and Spotflint taking over the molly lessons from the grieving Tealsky. There was no doubt among anyone that the pair were dead, but Hawkstone and Pickerelkit’s bodies weren’t found until nearly a moon later, caught up on branches as the food waters retreated.
The vigil was held without bodies.
The rest of Silverkit’s kithood was, thankfully uneventful. She was eventually apprenticed to Cricketcall (Raven~), another molly. She continued Spotflint and Tealsky’s teachings on how to behave like a proper molly.
Her apprenticeship was… uneventful to say the least. She learned how to fight and hunt, though she hated battle training. It was unbecoming for a molly to be involved in fighting after all. It wasn’t until the night before her ceremony that she, and Sturgeonpaw, were pulled aside by Tealsky, Spotflint, and Shadedrain.
Tealsky explained that they had made a decision as to who was going to be the family heirs. Silverpaw would be the Sky family heir, while Sturgeonpaw was to be the Stone family heir. Not only that, but Tealsky was abdicating the position of heir to Silvermist, not wanting to have to deal with the inevitable responsibility of having to select mates for the family.
The next day, Silverpaw became Silvermist and Sturgeonpaw became Sturgeonpebble.
Currently, Silvermist is going about her life as normal, waiting for the day where she is eventually betrothed to another tom.
She never was fond of Yarrowstar, wholeheartedly believing Minnowstar should still be leader. With the restriction of the MoonCave, her opinion of the tom has fallen further. While not actively going against him, she definitely is unhappy with how LichenClan is currently being run.
