FLOWERFANG
REDWOODCLAN
BOLD, CONFIDENT CALICO SHE-CAT
warrior
she-cat
57 moons
Appearance
Like her brother Flickersight, Flowerfang carries an imposing figure. A tall, broad shouldered she-cat, she tends to fit in well with her large statured clan. Her muscles are fairly defined and her pelt is covered in battle scars. She wears them with pride and takes no action to conceal them.
Her long pelt does conceal her scars fairly well, without her trying, and regularly goes ungroomed. This doesn't mean her pelt is uncared for, she is concerned with other things in her life other than beauty. A stray knot or two can be easily dealt with a quick lick once a battle has passed. Flowerfang's fur is rough for this reason. It's not uncommon to see dirt clinging to her fur until it is dealt with at the end of the night before sleep. Her pelt is a patchwork of oranges and black over a white coat.
Flowerfang has a very square, masculine face. She likes to say she gets her facial structure from her father, and wears it with pride. Her left ear carries a couple of deep nicks from disputes and sparring matches that got too rough. Her eyes are a deep green, almost matching the color of leaves at the height of summer.

Personality
Two Positive Traits: Flowerfang is not afraid to take on new challenges. She does not shy away from adversity or interpersonal conflicts. The boldness she demonstrates to the world can push her through any battle. It's carried her this far, and despite it leading her into awkward situations, she's never once thought to change this fact about her. Flowerfang's honesty has also granted her a strong place in the clan's social hierarchy. She's not afraid to tell others how she feels and when they are in the wrong.
Two Negative Traits: Flowerfang puts almost no thoughts in her actions towards others. Her tactless nature seems to rear its head especially when she's impassioned or stressed. She doesn't mean any ill-will to her clanmates, but that honesty she prides herself on can become a hinderance really quick if her words are not watched. This can lead the calico to show her coarse-side where she is quick to

History
2019
› Born during new-leaf 2019, Flowerkit entered RedwoodClan alongside her brother Flickerkit to Rowanleap and Duskshine. Despite never truly loving each other, her parents put on a good front and cared deeply for their children. Flowerkit was closer to her father, but got along with her mother as well.
› From birth, Flowerkit was always a rebel, trying to sneak out of the nursery and cause fights. A natural contrarian, she enjoyed picking holes in her den-mates' stories and was considered a bully. Only Flickerkit kept her company.
› Right before she became an apprentice, her parents broke-up. Flowerkit could sense her parents' relationship was forced, at least compared to the other queens, so it was not a surprise to her. She accepted with a shrug and tried to convince Flickerkit to get over himself.
› Early into her apprenticeship, war is declared between RedwoodClan and LichenClan. Interested in learning how to fight in the trees, she begins training with her father, while her mentor, Mistytooth, strengthens her muscles on land, turning her into a prodigy fighter.
› When she is nine moons old, she stumbles upon her mother, Duskshine, being intimate with another warrior in the woods. Flowerpaw confronts her and learns her mother was in love with another cat, which is why she left their father. Flowerpaw promises not to tell, though she criticizes her mother for letting Rowanleap take all of the blame.
2020
› During green-leaf 2020, she earns her warrior name, Flowerfang, for her fighting abilities. She is frequently sent out to fight in skirmishes and continues training with her 'old man.' She continuously comforts her father and keeps him company.
› Her mother, Duskshine, publicly takes on a new mate, and Flowerfang privately tries to get her to tell Flickersight the truth, but she refuses, fearing he will hold a grudge against her too. Flowerfang angrily storms away, creating a rift between them.
2021

› Once she recovers, Flowerfang jumps back into battle, and fights against LichenClan when they ambush RedwoodClan. She joins her father in the trees and launches several unexpected attacks on LichenClan.
› Refusing to end up like either of her parents, Flowerfang guards herself and her heart well. She does not easily fall in love and usually keeps most relationships superficial. She's never thought about settling down or becoming a mother and sticks to meaningless, one night stands.

While both are similar in nature, Splashpaw proves to be a challenging apprentice and pushes Flowerfang to her limits. She talks back, ditches training sessions, and doesn't take training very seriously.
› At the end of the 2022 season, Flowerfang fights in the canopy alongside her father. They kill two opponents and ward off several others. Bloody and exhausted, they return to camp, startled to find Flickersight's mate, Frecklewing, dead. Flowerfang desperately tries to comfort him, but he pushes her away.
