Born the small one in the litter, Valeriankit will still be working on the task of growing by the time he reaches apprenticehood. His runty size at birth left his body thin by nature, a lean look that is masked only by his fur. His muscles will develop to be lithe and not broad upon his frame. His body is lengthy but slim, his legs delicate in appearance and not overly long. His paws are proportionate to the rest of him, small and stepping lightly wherever the tom goes.

Valeriankit looks like his mother. Pale blue fur painted with mackerel tabby patterns from his head to his tail. But, where Perchwhisker’s fur is short and neat, Valeriankit’s is long at birth and only grows moreso as he ages. It also has a silvery hue which helps the tom stand out, shining in sunlight and duskily gleaming in the caves. His tail is decorated with a long shower of blue silver fur, the tabby markings hidden there whereas they stand out most proudly on his legs.

A slim, angular face is the backdrop for keen green eyes. Tufts of long fur protrude from his cheeks and are accompanied by silvery whiskers that droop to either side of the tan skin of his nose. A tall forehead is decorated with a pair of lengthy ears which swivel constantly, and below that his muzzle is elongated and thin, ending in a point at his chin.

Valeriankit is a nice boy. Doted on by his mother he has, from the beginning, followed her teachings to a high degree and grasped very strongly onto the need to behave properly for their high-born station. He wants to not only be perceived as well-mannered, but actually be so. He is very happy to be the son of such a high-ranked father and well mannered, classy molly. This reflects in the other kits which he, like is mother, is very choosy over when it comes to who he interacts with. He doesn't want to let mom and dad down!

Unfortunately for Valeriankit, though he hasn't yet realized it, his mother spoils him beyond belief. If Valeriankit wants something, he is granted it if it is within Perchwhisker's power - and since he's just a kit, most things are. Valeriankit barely understands the concept of hardship and certainly hasn't experienced it himself. And he can't relate to the way his sisters sometimes grow upset with mom's expectations. He craves attention - and while he loves every moment of what he gets with Perchwhisker, Valeriankit finds himself thirsting for more. Why can't he get that sort of attention from everyone? This is compounded by the young tom's lack of ability to make friends, due to the uppity way he views many and the clingy way he treats anyone that gives him a scrap of time. 

Born from a loveless union between Monarchmask and Perchwhisker, Valeriankit is the only tom in a litter of three.

The prized son of his mother, Valeriankit is spoiled and doted upon far more than his sisters, Anemonekit and Wisteriakit. However, as he grows the attention that Valeriankit truly begins to crave is from his father. If he's a worthy son, the future of their family, then why does his dad ignore him so? No matter what he does in the early moons of his life, it seems that he can't accomplish his goal of receiving the same sort of praise from his father as he gets from his mother.
