Deersong
REDWOODCLAN
long-haired fawn ticked tabby with green eyes
warrior
Cis Female
16 Moons
Appearance
Character Stature: Deersong stands at about 12 inches tall, 26 inches long, and weighs between 10 and 12 lbs depending on the season. Her frame is often said to be sleek and elegant, but do not let that fool you, for beneath that flowing coat are muscles toned and hardened to steel from growing up within the Redwoods.
Character Pelt: medium-length, luxurious flowing fur, her pelt is a wispy blend of fawn, whites, and mochas that swirl like mist around her sleek frame. The wisps are more pronounced around her paws and chest, deafening her steps and giving her an almost ethereal look.
Character Face: Large eyes the green of a sunlit ocean, her head is rounded to really drive in her constant dream expression and making her appear far more innocent and air-headed then she is. Ears are just as big and round atop her head. Her eyes are like sea glass, a sunlit ocean whose hue changes depending on her moods and what lights you catch them in. Her nose is a warm chocolate color, a stark contrast to her baby pink paw pads.

Personality
Two Positive Traits: Empathetic, Generous, Open-Minded, Creative, Passionate, Idealistic
~ Deersong is quite the oddity when one first gets to know her. An Empathetic creature who is always open to listening to the problems of those around her, no matter how small those problems may be. She is Generous with both her time and her valuables, always one to bestow gifts upon her clanmates during times of joy. Creative and passionate, there is nothing she loves more than taking part in nest making or decorating, especially if she is allowed to use her beloved shiny stones in such activities.
Open-Minded almost to a fault, she is not quick to assume the worst of cats. She honestly believes that most negative emotions stem from underlying trauma, and as such doesn't take sharp words or criticism too seriously.
Two Negative Traits: Unrealistic, Self-Isolating, Unfocused, Emotionally Vulnerable, Desperate to Please, Self-Critical
Deersongs kindness towards her clanmates sadly does not extend to herself. She is often Self-loathing and Self-critical, especially when she makes a mistake that results in trouble for her loved ones. Emotionally Vulnerable , though one may not notice it if you're simply looking at the surface of this whimsical feline. During her mid-day musings or even while listening to conversations, Deersong can easily become Unfocused and it's not uncommon for her clanmates to gently prod her out of her own strange thoughts.
History
Deerkits childhood had a rather interesting beginning. She was born during an ominous blood moon, the air within her home was always suffocating with tension and unease. As she grew older, that tension only increased, the relationship between Redwoodclan and Lichenclan growing worse by the moon. Her eyes and ears would capture all of the worried whispers, and anxious tail flicks of each of her older clanmates. Although she was too young at this age to truly understand the severity of everything she heard and saw, her tiny brain did understand one thing; things were mounting up to be very very bad.
She spent most of her kittenhood attached to her siblings, only ever venturing away to slip a surprise gift into the nest of a warrior who she observed had a bad day. Her parents did their best to shield their kittens from the reality of what was looming ahead, but there was only so much they could hide when kitten ears were so good at hearing things they shouldn't.
Once she was an apprentice, her mentor began preparing her for war. It was soon discovered that despite her ditzy and more airheaded demeanor, she was an unexpected force to be reckoned with. While fighting was not her preferred method of settling disputes; her mentor learns that with enough pushing (or once the molly realizes that talking isn't an option) she transforms.
Paws that normally skim the ground with the ease of a spring breeze become vipers, striking and slashing at her opponent in an unyielding frenzy. These skills only become more terrifying as she gets older and her body grows into itself. Deerpaw proves herself further on the night of the final battle; guarding the camp and not once does she falter or back down, despite her young age. She obeys every order to perfection, and once the fighting is over, she assists with rebuilding what dens had been destroyed.
Peace would slowly descend upon the clans and the tribe, and by the middle of her apprenticeship, Deerpaw is well-liked and admired among the rest of her denmates. When the blizzard hits, Deerpaw does her best to hunt and provide for her clans, the kits, and queens especially on her mind during this time. Often the young apprentice would return home with paws numbed from the cold, the wisps of fur around them crusted with frost. But it was not often she returned home without at least a scrawny mouse.
The blizzard comes and goes, but as if the stars themselves are mocking her home, a flood ravages the clan and once again Deerpaw throws herself into serving her clan. After the flood, she comes of age, and having thoroughly proved herself to be a reliable and steadfast cat (despite her often air-headed tendencies) she earns the name 'Deersong' for her kindness and good-natured personality in the face of adversity.
Now, with peace finally seeming to rest on the lands of the clans, Deersong finds herself attempting to settle into a new way of life.
