Two Negative Traits: Reckless; she will put herself into danger to prove herself to her clan. Naïve; she may be easy to manipulate by her clan and those outside of it.
History
Kithood: Cottonseed was born to a distant mother, a gentle father and two siblings. Her parents had originally been overjoyed to have three beautiful kits, but her mother was suffering quietly from mental health. She would show anger at the smallest things, and Cottonseed often felt she was walking on eggshells around her. She spent the majority of her young life anxious and driven to follow the rules in hopes it meant she wouldn't suffer a swat from her mother. Her father was aware of his mate's quick temper, but felt powerless to act on it. Instead, he was the nurturing parent his kits could run to when their mother broke their hearts.
Adolescence: Due to her kithood, Cottonseed's future personality was almost set in stone. She began to show clear signs of attachment issues thanks to the trauma her mother brought her. The she-cat had vanished in the middle of the night without a word to her kits, and Cottonseed's father had obediently followed. The young snowshoe had believed she could at least depend on her siblings remaining in her life, but her sister soon followed. This left Cottonseed and her brother (NPC). Due to this feeling of abandonment, she finds it difficult to form healthy attachments. Once she feels someone is getting close to her she attempts to distance herself. She is law-abiding to a fault and does not question the methods of her clan. She believes in the system of pairs forming simply to make strong kits, as she believes she wouldn't have suffered the heartache of her parents had they followed that path.
Adulthood: Cottonseed has only recently aged into adulthood. She is wrapped around her tasks as a warrior. She craves love and relationships but is afraid of commitment. She is terrified of becoming a cruel shell much like her mother. When angry, she may burst into tears if she believes she is shadowing her mother's abusive nature. While she is still incredibly close to her brother, there seems to be a hole she is trying to feel with a partner. Unfortunately, her desire to follow traditions and find a cat that she can spend her life with contradict themselves. Nowadays, she is actively working on herself, but an issue she comes across is her dedication to the rules and traditions may hold her back.
High Position: N/A
*Remember to keep in mind the clan/tribe's specific history and characteristics. Try to weave information from current events into your character's history. For example, how do they feel about their leaders? Any threats ( lc vs rwc war, rogue threat, the flood for tc, tribe sickness, etc.)? Make them a part of their clan/tribe!
