RAINSMOKE
THISTLECLAN
small blue mackerel she-cat with vibrant green eyes
warrior
female
13 moons
Appearance
rainsmoke has and always will be runty and small. very small, in fact. her frame doesn’t help either, being more on the slender side than on the bulky. she is lean muscled and sharp featured, with her muzzle being the sharpest feature on her body. with a triangular shape to her face and the most thin cheeks. her ears sit tall and proud on top of her head.
rainsmoke's pelt is short and dense, an almost silver-tinged blue painting her entire body. her muzzle and chest fall into lighter hues and her mackerel stripes shift into darker, but they all retain a nice silver sheen. her nose is a distinctive dark pink, her whiskers a distinctive white, while her eyes are even more distinctive, being the most vibrant hues of the palest greens. her tail is long with a dark tip, being almost feathery in appearance.

Personality
blunt;
rainsmoke will always be forthright with her honesty, and yes, she is always honest. she does not usually give unwanted opinions unless it is about something she is very passionate about, but if asked, she will absolutely not beat around the bush. finding sympathy in those that can’t handle honesty just seems like a pity party to her. she will also absolutely stand for what she believes in, no matter what the circumstance.
calm;
rainsmoke is usually pretty collected, and she finds it relatively easy to contain emotion. in fact, there isn’t too much that will get her into a panic, it being faster to irritate her than to rile her up. finding a quiet state of mind is common practice, and its shown through her stoic behaviors.
loyal;
rainkit is very protective of those she cannot let go emotionally of, and if she cares about you at all, she will give her life and soul to make sure of your survival. and do not get that confused with mental health. you can also tell the intensity of her loyalty through her uncharacteristic openness, her opinions being bluntly expressed, but the thoughts most important to her in her head being only expressed to those she trusts.
intelligent;
rainsmoke will be very absorbent to her surroundings, and will learn things quite fast. with the careful stimulation of her father, the ease at which her mind works had turned her into a fast thinker, and with it the ability to swiftly think up memorized facts or complex plans.
cold;
she isn’t a loner, but she has learned that the less you act like you care, the less you care, and thus, the less you get hurt. rainsmoke has unfortunately grown a hardened mental defense, and now her sharp tongue has become a rude thorn wall for anyone that attempts to make her like them.
humorless;
rainsmoke has no sense of humor. and it isn’t that she is capable of getting a joke, and refuses to indulge in its hilarity. rainsmoke is incapable of understanding jokes. whether it be rhetorical, slapstick, situational…she doesn’t have the wiring in her brain to comprehend when something is supposed to be funny. she laughs in joy or being tickled, but you will always end up with either a blank or confused expression when it comes to tickling that funny bone.
History
Born alongside her brother, Cloudkit, they were two lucky kittens as they were the survivors in a litter of four. Born in the cruel leaf-bare moons, they were runty and small, delivered early due to the stress of fighting an ambushing fox. Despite all the circumstances against them, they are now blessed with a life in ThistleClan, under the loving care of Mistflower and the vigilant watch of Smokestorm.
The first three moons of her life were the coldest yet warmest moons of her life. For although the most brutal of blizzards would seep out all the heat in the nursery, she would never be loved or comforted like she was in the wake of her mother. Everything was nicer in those days besides the weather. Everyone was happier, even her brother and father...
But after that third moon, it seemed all joy was ripped from the world, Mistflower to a sickness she never knew about. It was a soul crushing ambush that destroyed all her innocence and positivity for the world. For, what could she trust that couldn't be lost in an instant?
The rest of her childhood would remain uneventful until the eventual day she became an apprentice alongside Cloudpaw. Jaythroat would become her mentor, but instead of training her to Rainpaw's frustrations, Jaythroat would have every excuse in the world to avoid her. It wasn't until they finally had a personal conversation about it that led to Rainpaw showing her her treasured bark that, somehow, would lead into not only more training sessions and a better relationship, but to her learning the killing bite a few moons later.
Besides a training session with Bramblepaw, she didn't really talk to anyone else, staying rather isolated and focused on becoming the best warrior she could be for her deceased mother. She didn't even get any time with her brother, only being able to sneak a few meals in together from time to time. She did, though, have a quality moment with her father on a hunt together, admitting her inability to be one with her emotions and realizing he was the same way.
The only other noticeable event in her life prior to finally adorning her warrior name was the great melting of the blizzard snow, causing a flood that would take ThistleClan's territory. It didn't take much to get used to RedwoodClan land when they had to move to Bear Stones, not ever comfortable in her own territory due to the weather that was never comfortable. Here she could at least finally enjoy the coming warmth. But as the moons went on and now, here she was, finally the warrior in the name of her father, and they were still not out of Bear Stones. Couldn't they just go home already?
