nettletongue
Thistleclan
russet tabby she-cat with golden hazel eyes
Warrior
she-cat
23 moons
Appearance
Despite standing slightly shorter than most other she-cats in her clan, Nettletongue maintains a sleek, toned musculature, supported by short, brawny limbs. Her petite paws aide in her silent movements, deafening the sounds of her travels. Being an exquisite fighter, the molly sports no scars or evidence of previous injuries, instead maintaining an elegant and deceivingly fragile appearance. The female’s russet cost is dappled with distinct black splotches along her back and flanks, nicely complimented by the striping along her chest and the top of her head. Nettletongue is easily recognizable due to her primarily black tail as well as the white coloration of her lower jaw and the nearly perfect circle at the base of her throat. Her golden hazel eyes contrast brilliantly against her short, darker pelt, boring daringly into those brave enough to make eye contact. Nettle's face is slightly ovate, offset by triangular ears perched directly atop her head.
Personality
Smart-mouthed and with a quick-minded, Nettletongue is not one to be trifled with. With a bad attitude and no filter, she will not hesitate to put someone in their place. The she-cat is arrogant, believing herself to be better than most of, if not all of the other mollies in her clan, refusing to believe anyone who tries to say otherwise. She is typically seen as a bully, instigating those around her in the hopes of spurring up some sort of squabble, only feeding her own ego when the other disengages.
Despite her god-complex and maliciousness, Nettletongue is fiercely loyal, and will leap into battle to protect her fellow brethren. While she enjoys being the bully in most instances, she does not tolerate disrespect aimed towards her clanmates and is one of the first to shut it down, whether it be done with a smart remark or by tooth and claw.
History
Nettlekit was born into a litter of 3 other sisters, though one was stillborn and the other two were deathly sick throughout their kithood, robbing the young feline of her parents' attention. This planted a vicious seed that would soon fester into the young apprentice as she aged. Often feeling shunned or neglected, Nettlepaw would target her sickly sisters once left alone no matter the consequences she was sure to face. The negative reinforcement she received from her parents only expedited her toxic personality, branching into pure malice.
Nettlepaw increasingly resented her parents as she moved into her apprenticeship, more so after the death of both sisters as their behavior towards her only steepened in neglect. Their mourning over their kits' deaths blinded them, rendering the young she-cat invisible. With the only positive reinforcement she received bring from her mentor, Nettlepaw invested all of her energy into training for battle. Her broken spirit, fueled by her distorted mindset made her an impeccable soldier, stopping at nothing to ensure she stood victorious. Being paired with Rushbriar was probably the best thing for Nettlepaw; her mentor's witty confidence and low tolerance for nonsense only benefited the foundation of Nettlepaw's growth. No matter what rebellious stunts the she-cat tried to pull off, she was always humbled by Rushbriar's lack of engagement in her conflictual attempts. Viewing her mentor as her only real idol, Nettlepaw's personality softened in the slightest of ways though her behavior failed to validate it.
Growing up in an unsupportive environment instilled venomous traits that followed the molly into adulthood, one being her need to prove herself. With the constant shadow of her parents' neglect clouding her perspective, Nettletongue never fails to leap on the opportunity to instigate a
quarrel. Because of this, the she-cat consistently finds herself in solidarity, leading her to believe the false perspective that she is superior to those around her. Nettletongue has never had a mate, nor has she ever attempted to a pursue a tom, under the impression that he would treat her in a similar manner of her parents.
Nettletongue has basked in the recent chaos and blooshed, perfectly content with following Stagstar into battle where she finally feels as if she has begun to fulfill her purpose in life. Infuriated by the kitnapping of Birchsong's offspring, the young she-cat has dedicated herself to not only restoring Thistleclan to its former glory but to also finding the lost kit. Despite her unfavorable upbringing, the she-cat's heart still beats for kits, subconsciously hoping that one day she finds a mate and starts a family of her own. With this hidden motivation accompanied by her bitter perspective on her own life, Nettletongue continues to volunteer for patrols, eager to prevent other offspring from being stolen, especially during the recent attack against her campground.
