Sandykit is a lean, solid black cat of average height. She has a rather average build, but unlike her mother, she does not appear dainty. Although she is not overly muscular, she does not look delicate.

Her pelt is a little bit fuzzy, but as she ages, it gets silkier. Like her parents, her fur is beautifully soft, and can be pretty fluffy for its short length when curled up next to her. Despite its length, it is often very good at keeping her warm. 

Sandykit has a rounder face, but a rather dainty muzzle. Her eyes are a light green with some gold in them, resembling her mother's. Her eye shape is more almond than round, but they still look big. She has short, dark whiskers that are hard to spot against her dark pelt. One unique feature that she has is her bobbed tail.

Sandykit is quite independent. While she loves her family, she can take care of herself, and is good at problem solving. It is easy for her to motivate herself to do any tasks she needs to, whether she likes it or not; she is very efficient. She rarely procrastinates, and likes to do whatever she needs to as soon as she is aware of it. Sandykit is also loyal to those that she loves. While she does not have a lot of friends, she prefers to have a smaller circle that she is close to. For those in that circle, she would do anything for.

Sandykit can be very controlling, especially over those she loves. Although it comes from a place of care and concern, she often tries to take charge and boss her siblings around. Being out of control makes her feel insecure, so not being the boss gives her a lot of anxiety, which can cause her to lash out at others. In the heat of these moments, she often says something she will find herself regretting later, and her siblings being extremely annoyed with her. She is also very serious, and unable to relax. Especially in her youth, she finds it hard to joke around. This sometimes makes it difficult for her to make friends.

Sandykit was born to Cinderfeather, along with her siblings, Snailkit, Streamkit, and Slushkit. Her biological father, HoneyBun, has no idea about her existence, and neither does she. To her and almost everyone else in ThistleClan, Thunderfoot is her father.

She is adventurous but also the most serious out of the kits. Her siblings see her as overly worried and sometimes a party pooper. However, she is mostly carefree, other than sometimes policing her own siblings and teasing them sometimes. She enjoys Smokestorm's lectures, and is one of the few kits to not grumble when he starts his speeches. Sandykit looks up to Cinderfeather and Thunderfoot, and enjoys spending time with her parents. In fact, Thunderfoot seems to be the only cat that help her chill out. Even though they frighten her sometimes, she likes to listen to Cinderfeather's stories. She also takes after her mother in fretting over her siblings.
