Blackberrypaw is average build for an apprentice his age, having muscles under his long-haired pelt which have not matured. But fully intends to train hard and develop his body, as typically as LichenClan loyalist males tend to do. His face is round with tufts of fur evenly stretching from his cheeks with uniform tabby markings on both sides. Blackberrypaw has deep rigid black stripes that climb up his legs with his back being primarily black. The apprentice has also grown long white whiskers that aid him in making his way through caves.

Overall, his fur is very layered with a wavy, light-colored mane and chest that sits above the tabby markings on his shoulders and flanks. He is considerably fluffy with a broad muzzle and bright yellow-green eyes, just like his mother. Blackberrypaw in general has a close resemblance to his mother Morelmask, and it would be impossible for any cat to never guess that his father Alderroot of RedwoodClan.

Dedicated [+]: When Morelmask was alive, Blackberrypaw did not exactly keep StarClan at the forefront of his everyday thoughts. She never forced anything upon him or any of his siblings. His mother kept things quite sensible. However, with her death he is committing to devoutness and is less of his curious fun loving younger self. Blackberrypaw is eager to fit-in with the loyalist warriors and apprentices for his friends. However, he has his own inner thoughts and desires.

Idealistic [+]: Blackberrypaw has a vividly strong interest in making the world a better place! That better place being where heathens do not breathe the same air. But in reality, he relies on his own twisted intuition and enjoys claiming to bask in the light of the bigger picture. He can be a little difficult to understand, but usually Blackberrypaw is interested in those around him. Most decisions the apprentice makes are based on meticulous details or lust and not logic.

Malicious [-]: The black tabby quiet often is impaired with lack of empathy and other common sociopath inclinations. In the following aftermath of Morelmask’s death, he can be found without restraint, partaking in fervent training sessions to hone his destructive behavior or talking about what he’s going to do; the second he gets the chance to fight RedwoodClan with other apprentices. Blackberrypaw falls to impulsive behavior for pleasure in arrogance, yet and without a mother he has a crippling longing for excessive praise. Along with this, criticism is troubling for him and generally causes him to want to enact an act of cruelty upon others.

Dogmatic [-]: Blackberrypaw acts in a blind certain, assertive manner which carries through his beliefs. He commonly snaps from friendly to assertive. It can take only a few words to make him hostile. At the same time he is a great listener, but not to be confused as a push-over, he has an incredible detail-oriented mind. And in the spirit of that, can rip into others verbally without warning. But it should be known that Blackberrypaw is troubled and fears attachment. He swears it does not keep him awake at night, but in fact does stress about losing more loved ones at such a young age. yet he still occasionally grows to feel that he cannot live without certain souls. Blackberrypaw is self-aware, at least, of his current main demon in life being attachment issues, and it has caused him to have high standards, a great pickiness in who he becomes obsessively close with.

Alongside Anemonekit and Cicadakit, Blackberrykit was born to Morelmask of LichenClan. His father is actually Alderroot of RedwoodClan but there is no chance he will ever come to that realization. His mother had an eye for a long-haired ginger tom, which Blackberrykit looks nothing like. As a young kit, his mother was everything to him and with numerous siblings he always felt loved. Blackberrykit accepted Morelmask’s shunning of their puppet father, Pearbloom, very easily. Another ginger tom which he looks nothing like, a story Blackberrykit doubts that story. But nonetheless continued to grow with not a single inkling as to who his real father may be.

Currently as an apprentice, Blackberrypaw feels like he’s seen all there is to see yet craves his chance to get his paws soaked in blood. The time when RedwoodClan attacked the LichenClan camp, he was not allowed to get involved, but alongside other apprentices, they kept safe in their den. In the days following the battle, Blackberrypaw was able to find peace of mind until the unthinkable happened. Duckpuddle and Cricketcall arrive at camp with his dead mother’s body and Blackberrypaw is horrified. It is believed to have been a sudden murder by a RedwoodClan warrior on the border. He is still haunted by the memory to this day, his mind unforgiving, and the imagery of her wounds is never sugar-coated.

In more recent times also following that battle, another RedwoodClanner has maimed Anemonepaw. When he first saw it, the tabby tom had been unable to control his emotions once again and cried the entire night. Shivering and festering in his own hatred for all they’ve taken from him, and even continue to steal. But Blackberrypaw has received a few moments of ease to know that, while he is hurting inside, loyalist LichenClan warriors continue to also take RedwoodClan lives in revenge. Currently, Blackberrypaw can be found typically engaging in either intense battle training, surrounding himself with other like-minded apprentices, or visiting his sister who is healing from her eye being ripped out. It has all happened quickly and is almost too much for Blackberry to bear in a sane matter.
