1. Characters can either be formally archived or killed icly.

2. Members are highly encouraged to complete character arcs through IC death; however members can archive characters without an IC death if they no longer wish to play them.

3. Before a character can be archived or ICly killed, the member must first reach out to the following parties:

a. Former adoptee -- if the character was an adopt, please reach out to the former adoptee to either return the character or approve the IC death.

b. Family members -- if your character has any living family members or close relationships, it is common courtesy to check in with their rp-ers to confirm the archival and/or death.

4. If you are killing your character, their death thread must be started to officially date their death. You do not need to complete the thread to submit the request. We only ask that their death is in motion and will be completed after the request is submitted.

5. Once a character has been killed or a formal archive is requested, the member must fill out the appropriate form below and link all of the following remaining threads:

Archived/Library Threads -- if your character has any completed/uncompleted threads that have not been archived yet, list them in the form below. Please indicate if they need to be sent to the graveyard. If you are graveyarding threads, please check in with your thread partners before tossing.

Threads to be finished -- Please list the threads you intend to finish post-death! You are welcome to finish them at your own pace.

6. Please post the completed form as a reply to this thread, and tag staff in the #maintenance-request channel on the discord for review.

7. A staff member will then review the request and appropriately archive the character.

8. Once the character is archived, you can no longer create any new threads with them, and they will be officially removed from your character list/count.
