Appearance
The least conspicuous of the litter, Silverpaw, despite being firstborn, was seemingly passed over in terms of physical attributes. Rather, he is lean and long of limb where his kin are stocky and stout, gaunt where his siblings are broad and heavyset, and oddly effeminate of face rather than bearing the husky gray and coarse grizzled furs of his father—the broad face and the full jowls. Instead, his countenance is one of angular lines, while his coat is covetously thick and soft to the touch, bearing blue tresses broken only at the muzzle, throat, and limbs by the most delicate ivory strands. But most striking is not his unusual thinness, not the soft furs or the long limbs, but his eyes. Yellow, oddly slanted and wise beyond their moons, there is very little, it would seem, that they miss, filled as they are with the cold and unrealized cunning, making further stunning that face oft set into stoic stillness.

Although born physically weak, it would seem it was Silverpaw who inherited the lion’s share in terms of natural intuition. Gifted with an unnerving affinity for picking apart the minds of others, despite his scant moons, it would seem to many that there is very little the young tom misses and less still, which he is unable to comprehend. And in wielding such a mind comes the innate and insatiable curiosity, the ruthless and dogged pursuit of knowledge to compensate for the physical strength which he lacks. And in the amassing of this knowledge, so will grow his feelings of superiority in regards to his peers, so will grow his caustic nature and cruel tongue, his arrogance, and scathing nature.
However, it is due to this that Silverpaw, despite his airs of confidence, is grievously envious of all those who possess that which he will never have: strength. And it is this shortcoming in particular that makes him so condescending and resentful, especially towards those who he is forced to rely on due to his own bodily inadequacies, stirring in him a vehement bitterness. Yet it is also in the act of acknowledging those with the ability to do things better than he that he has grown to know the best ways to use others to carry out his whims, and while he knows almost nothing of true loyalty to others, he does well in manifesting relations for the sake of his own self betterment and is known, despite his exploitive nature to always carry out his promises and repay his debts.
History
00-05 Moons.
12-7 Moon Ago, Legacy… Amid growing tensions from beyond the border, Graygaze and Squirreltail came together to conceive a litter strong enough to carry the Clans through all future hardships. A litter of momentous proportion, one instilled with their mother’s sharp win and father’s brutish habits; who had strength and mind enough to lead as their parents did, both prolific warriors within their own rights. And so were the three of them born, Silverkit amongst them and smallest of the brood, but with eyes that seemed always watchful and looked upon the world sooner than even his siblings could boast. It was to Silverkit all the cruel cunning swelled, and with a desirous nature for all that which he did not know. With a ravenousness, Silverkit set upon the world around him, drinking in all that it offered and developing a deep fascination for poisons upon learning of the untimely death of his aunt who risked her last lives to ensure that they lived. So did this curiosity grow, steering him out into the forest to root among the plants for the mysterious berries, until one day, his brother in tow, they came upon a nest that stunk plainly of fox. Goading his brother to investigate it, it was with wild eyes and scampering paws they fled from the beast that dwelled within, Silverkit tripping his brother as it drew nearer to spare his own pelt. Though he did not expect his brother to survive, he did, and when his father caught wind of his part, it was with a cruelness he punished him for his negligence. Although Silverkit never respected his father—deeming him no better than a lowly brute—he came to fear him that day and to hate his brother for ever bringing Graygaze’s wrath down upon him.
07-09
05-03 Moons Ago, the Passing… As punishment for endangering his brother, Silverpaw was delayed until his seventh moon, spending time in the nursery while the Clan awaited Bluekit’s recovery. Upon the day of their ceremony, his brother was granted the more befitting name of Lostpaw—a reminder of the event which had led to his unfortunate disfigurement. Satisfied with the cruelness dealt, Silverpaw eagerly sinks into apprenticeship, grasping onto the newfound freedom and using it to his own advantage. Making a habit of refusing to attend his training, it did not take long for his then-mentor to refuse to train him a moon longer, thus shifting the responsibility onto another, more severe tom by the name of Eaglefang. The tom’s stern approach does little to impress Silverpaw, who aims to avoid him with equal enthusiasm.
In the final clash, Graygaze is killed in battle. While the Clan grieves what was once a formidable fighter, Silverpaw is only thankful. Now, with the only tom who ever frightened him gone, he grows progressively more unruly.
12 Moons.
00 Moons Ago, Turn-Pelt… Ranging far from camp, Silverpaw encounters a rogue ensnared in ThistleClan territory. Upon freeing her, Silverpaw demands that he might see her again, a request that is answered shortly after as the floods from a fierce spring storm snatch him from his hunting grounds and into rogue territory.
