OTTERPAW
LICHENCLAN
a light brown tabby tom with green eyes.
apprentice
male | tom
nine moons
Appearance
Taking after his older brother, Rabbitfern, Otterpaw is an enormous tom. He was large as a kit and he is large as an apprentice that's just nine moons old. He stands tall among his other clanmates, looking intimidating at first. His muscles are more developed in his chest area and paws, the muscles in his rear and legs are being weaker in comprasion. He is an excellent fighter, but an average hunter. He rarely ever loses a spar, using his force and strength in his body as an advantage.
Otterpaw has a fuzzy, thick coat that makes him appear bigger than he is. He doesn't look like he belongs to LichenClan with his thick coat, not possessing the medium-length fur that's suited for swimming. The tom's fur is dense, protecting him from the cruel leaf-bare. Otterpaw is a light brown colored tom, the most ostensible colors on his coat are the light brown that's from his undersides, a darker shade of brown and an ashy shade of ticked tabby marks covering half of his body. He has a dash of white just underneath his chin, reaching down to his chest and covering his muzzle. He has dark brown tabby marks on his head and cheeks.
Otterpaw has a very masculine face structure, firm and square. His face and head is small compared to the rest of his body, creating an asymmetrical look. He has medium sized ears that sits atop his crown, white tufts poking out shyly from his ears. He has a dark red nose with dark brown pawpads.
Otterpaw's scent is woody and earthy, as his coat would suggest. His scent is cedarwood mixed with spruce, a very pleasant and comforting scent to those around him. The tom's voice is husky and modulated, making it easy and pleasant to listen to him.

Personality
+confident, diligent, independent, intelligent, witty
Confident: Otterpaw is a very confident tom, coming from a family that's respected in the clan. He was raised to be a confident tom since kithood, his mother often encouraging him and telling him that he's precious. He takes pride in his family and himself, often showing his unwavering confidence during encounters. He expresses his confidence naturally, not in an annoying, cocky way. Otterpaw's head is held up high as he speaks about himself and his heritage proudly.
Diligent: Otterpaw is a tom that takes his duties as an apprentice and a future warrior very seriously, often being the first one to volunteer for patrols and ask his mentor for more training sessions. He really enjoys doing his duties as an apprentice and is an excellent apprentice, that's fueled with the undying passion of serving his clan and making his parents proud. He thinks that the others that waste time on chit chatting instead of doing their duties are foolish. He prioritizes his duties as an apprentice before anything else.
Independent: Being born to old parents, Otterpaw learned how to take care of himself without being dependent on someone else. He takes care of himself most of the time, hardly ever seeking help from others. He sees seeking help from others and being dependent on others as a weakness and doesn't really understand the concept of being dependent on others. He hasn't experienced being emotionally dependent on someone, as he grew up with somewhat nonchalant parents, the only source of affection coming from his older brother.
Intelligent: Growing up in the paws of devout and intelligent parents, it was expected for their son to be as much as intelligent as them. He had a lot of knowledge that was given to him from his parents and a lot of questions that had to be answered. Growing up, he started to question and doubt the belief that was enforced into him as a kit, especially being influenced by the rebellion. He always thinks and is often found lost in thoughts, thinking a few steps ahead if he has to. He is often praised for his practical and quick thinking, which aids him in situations of emergency and in situations where he has to make a quick decision. The tom's mind is restless, filled with thoughts that he rather would not speak about. He often thinks twice or three times before speaking or making an action, analyzing everything and thinking about the opinions.
Witty: With being intelligent, comes being witty. Otterpaw uses his witty thinking to crack some clever and funny jokes, when he's in the mood for it and gains some chuckles in return. He is skilled at making funny and intelligent remarks, pestering those close to him with his witty attitude. The tom won't use his wit just for fun, he is quick to react to any words spoken against him or his family, positive or negative.
- blunt, calculating, judgemental, manipulative, petulant
Blunt: Otterpaw was taught to only tell the words as it is, no sugarcoating or working around things since he was a kit. The tom's parents thought that they were doing the best for their kit, but they couldn't consider the fact that their little kit would grow up into a painfully blunt cat, with no filters. He doesn't hesitate to tell how he thinks or how he feels, not caring if his words hurt. The tom being blunt doesn't align well with him thinking multiple times before saying anything, sometimes ending up accidentally blurting out something without thinking enough.
Calculating: Otterpaw recently started being sly and sleek, his intelligence having a downside to it, making the tom adopt a selfish view towards things. He wasn't taught this from his parents necessarily, but as he grew up- he realized his potential. The important thing was to think about his own benefits and take them into consideration, rather than anything else. He isn't afraid to use this trait to his own advantage, even if it would hurt others in the end.
Judgemental: It's no wonder that he had been influenced by his family and clanmates to have a judgemental view towards everything, as his parents instilled that cats outside of their clan deserved eternal pain and suffering. Otterpaw has a very judgemental view towards the cats outside of their clan due to this, having hostility towards them. Though, he is old enough to shape his judgemental view towards things in a way that would hurt his relationships with others, being too bullheaded in his own judgement.
Manipulative: The tom is in no means an expert manipulator, but he can work on this trait of his. He can use his witty thinking and words that are well thought to try and manipulate a cat into viewing things as he does. Otterpaw wants to use this trait against his opponents and the cats he dislikes to make them discouraged and confused.
Petulant: Otterpaw takes his duties very seriously and is not the type of cat to mess around with. He is not often bitter and cranky, but he can be if his duties are interrupted by a cat. Being pretty diligent, he doesn't waste any time chatting around and if he is expected to do so, he will get all grumpy and complain about it. It's pretty hard to impress the tom and get him to fool around with others, especially if he's not in the mood. The cats often describe him as a buzzkill.
