Mistflower
ThistleClan
silver tabby she-cat with pale green eyes
warrior
she-cat
25 moons
Appearance
Mistpaw boasts a small build. She is light and compact, able to move about the dense underbrush with ease. As a new apprentice her muscles are not as strong as they will become so her muscles still appear soft and malleable under her light coat. Her small, round, petite paws hide the deadly claws she sheathes. She is careful to keep her claws sharp. Her body is still too small and weak to over-power an opponent, so Mistpaw relies on the stinging blow of a well-aimed scratch to deter an enemy.
While most of ThistleClan sport darker pelts, Mistpaw must learn to compensate for her bright silver and white pelt. Depending on the purpose of the patrol or skills test her mentor sets her on, Mistpaw has been known to roll in a patch of mud to better conceal herself in the dark undergrowth of the pine forest. When she has it clean, however, the light tabby markings can be seen around her pelt with the classic tabby “M” dark on her forehead.
The young she-cat’s eyes are a pale green. The large round orbs soak in the available light in the dark underbrush. Black fur circles her eyes which emphasizes their roundness. Her whiskers are a bright white, and in some lighting seem to disappear into her pale pelt. Her deep red nose is outlined with the same black as her eyes. Still unknown to a true battle, Mistpaw’s body does not yet show signs of battles lost or won. No scars or wounds are to be found on her young body.

Personality
As a young one, Mistpaw’s personality is still maturing. Traits which are not as noticeable now could very well be core attributes in the moons to come. Even so, the base of her personality is here, malleable and waiting to be formed.
Her days in the nursery, alone besides visits from her family, have fostered in Mistpaw a timid nature. Her short time as a kit in the warriors’ den overwhelmed her, the noise and constant comings and goings of warriors caused her to seek shelter. With the right mentoring, however, she could come out of her shy and quiet shell.
Being close to her family Mistpaw feels a devotion to them, and slowly that devotion is growing to include the entire clan. ThistleClan is turning into her family and she sees devotion to her clan as the best way to exhibit her loyalty.
Mistpaw is also on the optimistic side, she rarely lets even her failures pull her down. The support of her siblings has helped her to overcome the loss she experienced as a kit and strengthened her to view life as an adventure worth taking.
Perhaps due to her silent and somewhat petrified watching as a kit, Mistpaw has turned into a perceptive kit and with the right kind of mentoring this can turn into a valuable skill for her as a warrior. It can enable her to see a course of action in a fight not at first noticeable, or the course in a plan that has yet to be explored.
There is much to be expanded on in Mistpaw, as she continues to grow and interact with her fellow clanmates she could very well change course into a stronger cat, both physically and with her personality.
Or, the tide can change and cause these traits to change into weaknesses. Only time can tell.

History
The warmth of green-leaf had faded, but the hard cold of leaf-bare had not set in. What plants did grow in the dense pine forest were shriveling up, and the few deciduous trees were bare, their fallen leaves dry and brown on the forest floor. This was the season in which Mistkit was born. The only kit in the second litter of Hollystep and Bluefeather, her pale fur reminded her mother of the mist that would hang around the lakeshore in the early mornings. The days following Mistkit’s birth had many visitors to the nursery. Bluefeather would come in to visit with his mate, and in the evenings after their training was complete Mistkit’s older siblings, Cloudpaw and Lilypaw, would come to stare intently at the tiny form of their baby sister.
Leaf-fall was quickly replaced by the frozen weather of leaf-bare. Soon the pines of ThistleClan territory were laden with snow, and the edges of the lakeshore began to ice over. Confined to the nursery because of the snow, her only company was her mother most days. Her father and siblings were busied with providing food for the clan. Each evening her father would bring food to Hollystep. And so, for the first three moons of her life Mistkit knew only the company of her parents, and occasionally her siblings.
But with the arrival of the snow came sickness as well. Mistkit heard the rumble in her mother’s chest before the cough came. A phlegmy, bone chattering cough that left Mistkit staring wide eyed at her mother. A new visitor came to the nursery now – the medicine cat.
Whatever sickness had taken hold of Hollystep, was spreading throughout the camp. Fearing for the health of her youngest, Hollystep begged for her kit to be taken away from her. Mistkit’s last memory of her mother was touching noses and listening to her mother’s coughs as Bluefeather carried Mistkit from the nursery.
Hollystep died two days later.
Mistkit lived in the warrior’s den for the rest of the winter. Unused to the hustle and bustle of cats around, Mistkit would burrow into her father’s nest and stay there. She would peak over the rim of the mossy nest to watch and listen to the warrior’s conversations. What she desperately wanted was to return to the nursery and the calm of her mother. But when the medicine cat deemed it safe to return Mistkit to the nursery, she returned alone. After the death of their mother, Mistkit was visited more frequently by her siblings – now warriors named Cloudstep and Lilypad. Mistkit thrived on their company and craved their visits.
At six moons of age Mistkit was named an apprentice to Foxshade, her name was changed to Mistpaw and she joined the few remaining apprentices in the apprentice den. Her training progressed well, and Mistpaw is slowly gaining the confidence to interact with her fellow clanmates. She is growing use to the banter and biting words typically swapped between ThistleClan cats. She had grown close to her two siblings. A moon after she was named an apprentice her father, Bluefeather, retired to the elders’ den. His old bones found it difficult to crawl through the brush of the pine forest and would echo with pain from arthritis. Mistpaw visits her father as often as she can and awaits the day she can sit beside her brother and sister as a warrior.
IC History Updates:
After a successful hunting patrol where Mistpaw catches a heron, she enters the camp in time to join a clan meeting. Mistpaw has a rude encounter with Blazingpaw. Her sister, Lilypad, joins her and engages in chit-chat with fellow warrior Boulderbelly. Thievingstar announces that patrols should be aware of rogue activity along the northern border, and to show no mercy when encountering outsiders.
A member of a border patrol led by Thievingstar, Mistpaw scents a strange smell. The patrol encounters a rogue who introduces himself as Lark. His smooth talking way throws Mistpaw off, and his immense size stuns her. He could have crushed me, but he didn't.
After a run in with a fox, Foxshade is badly injured and steps down from being Mistpaw's mentor. Hawktail is named deputy in Foxshade's place, and becomes Mistpaw's new mentor. Hawktail takes Mistpaw into the pine forest for an assessment. They have a heart to heart, and Mistpaw feels empowered and encouraged by her new mentor's words.
During an assessment patrol led by Thievingstar, Mistpaw is injured by a rogue - one of Lark's lackys. A tussle breaks out between ThistleClan warriors and the rogues, and Mistpaw is left with a broken leg mere weeks from receiving her warrior name.
Confined to the Medicine Cat den Mistpaw is visited by the young warrior Beetlenose. He brings her food, and as they chat a friendship sparks between them.
Mistpaw refuses to believe that she would be named a warrior until the very moment her name is called. Thievingstar bestows on Mistpaw her warrior name, Mistflower, during a ceremony along with six other apprentices.
The morning after her ceremony, Mistflower is inducted into the rank of warrior by some pranksters who scare her and the other new warriors with small pests in their nests.
After her leg had healed and Ratwhisker released her to return to light duty, Mistflower accompanies fellow warrior Graygaze on a hunting patrol. The patrol turns sour when Graygaze falls into the bog and Mistflower reinjures her leg while helping him.
