Gnatpaw
Thistleclan
dilute tortoiseshell with green eyes.
Apprentice
Cisgender Female
14 Moons
Appearance- I love you so much and it never changed, but now I really can't stop my anger
Gnatpaw is a very thin she-cat with a long tail. She's tall and lengthy, which adds to her frail appearance. Her body looks like it could be snapped like a twig, but beneath her fur is hard working muscles that push her forward. She's very proud of her strength despite her lanky stature, and holds her head high when it comes to competitions of strength. She's able to use her small body to easily maneuver between enemies, then uses her strong muscles to launch her attack.
It helps that she has a gorgeous diluted pelt. Not only is she strong, but she's pretty. Her fur helps her hide away in the brush, her gorgeous cream spots appearing as dappled leaves. Many toms could fall for her just on her pelt alone. She looks desirable, and her thin frame makes others want to protect her.
Oh, and let's not forget her face. She has a very narrow head, with cream markings covering a good half of her face. Her muzzle and blaze has a splash of white on it that really ties together her beauty. And her green eyes, oh her eyes. They're like leaves in the spring, fresh and perky. They glow in the sunlight and give her a youthful expression. It's no wonder she's a beauty among her clanmates.

Personality- Sorry to be extremely emotional,
Hard-Working and Dedicated: Gnatpaw always has a goal she's working towards, and works hard to get there. When she's set her mind to something there is no stopping her. She's headstrong like that, getting into trouble at the worst times. She throws herself into trivial tasks to stop herself from being lost in her own mind. Some call her a workaholic, but the thing is that she knows her limits. She knows when to stop working, and when to give herself a break.
Obsessive and Clingy: Gnatpaw is known throughout the clan to be a bit of an obsessive cat. When she's got her paws on something she doesn't let go until she is all satisfied, which rarely happens. She's insatiable, going out just to get the high of feeling complete. Some say she's like this because she misses her mom, but others say she's just like her dad.

History- from now on, I will show you what 'real love' is
Gnatkit was born to young parents Moraytooth and Bugeye. She was born sickly, ill due to her mother's very small stature. Her siblings... there were two of them, and they didn't make it. They were far too ill to stay alive and died during the labor. It was tragic, and Bugeye was never the same after. She remained in the clan long enough to feed her kitten, but as soon as Gnatkit was old enough to be weaned off of her mother’s milk Bugeye vanished from the clan. Completely, utterly, vanished. Moraytooth thought he could get over the death of his daughters, the disappearance of his mate, but he couldn’t. Something deep down inside of him changed the day Bugeye disappeared. Ever since then, he became a lot more abusive towards his only surviving daughter.
At first, it was small things like lashing out at her when she asked him questions about her mom. She learned quickly that the subject of her mother was a touchy one, and should not be brought up. Then it was other things, the scratching and being pulled from the den and taken somewhere private very late at night, only to be scolded and manipulated by her own father. Told that she didn’t deserve to live when her sisters and mother died. Gnatkit quickly realized this constant, recurring and horrible thing her father kept doing would not end.
When he realized his mistakes, he would bring Gnatkit gifts. Little things to make her feel better whenever he hurts her. It could be feathers to line her nest or tufts of the softest fur. No matter what it was, it made Gnatkit feel empty inside. She thought this abuse might end when she became an apprentice, but alas. As soon as she was named Gnatpaw Moraytooth insisted they go out on a training session. He was hard on his daughter, not going easy on her during their training. He’s the reason she has a nick on her left ear, where he scratched her and hurt her.
Because of her father’s abuse, Gnatpaw has always found herself to be alone. She’s never been able to make friends, and has become an outcast amongst her peers. It’s not because anyone knows about her abuse, no, it’s because she’s too shy to speak up and talk to people for fear that they will hate her. She has terrible social anxiety, and finds it hard just to open her mouth and speak up. She used to speak in nothing but body language, nodding yes or no or flicking her tail to show anger, little things. It was when Starlingpaw ( lightning ) spoke to her first that she fell in love and opened up more.
Still quiet, it was a surprise when Starlingpaw, a handsome black and white tom, spoke to her. He approached her, saying “Hello,” and continuing a conversation. He actually got her to speak up! From then on, she tried to talk to him more and more, little by little she opened up. She wasn’t sure why Starlingpaw was nice to her when she was certain everyone around her hated her, but it made her so happy words couldn’t describe. She fell in love.
Her obsessive nature started to really come out at this point, as she became utterly infatuated with Starlingpaw. She wanted to give him little gifts, weaving things into his nest when he wasn’t looking to make it more comfortable. She was too nervous to give it to him in person, so she snuck around behind his back to do things. When he seemed to get too close to other cats- well, she became jealous. He seemed to be friendly with everyone, and that didn’t sit well with Gnatpaw. She decided to punish those who got close to him, putting thorns in their nests or bugs in their food. One cat stepped away from his meal for a little too long- and Gnatpaw punished him by putting maggots in his meal. Eventually her plan seemed to work, and Starlingpaw was finally alone- aside from her, and of course his sibling.
Gracklepaw ( owl ) had always been an annoying thorn in Gnatpaw’s side. He had this obsession with playing detective, and always trying to find out who dun’ it. He would investigate each prank Gnatpaw pulled, trying to figure out who did it. Why? Why were they trying to do that? Gnatpaw never understood it. She thought it was because of Gracklepaw’s annoying nature, but maybe there was something else lurking beneath the surface?
By the time warrior assessments came along, Gnatpaw would have aced them, but Starlingpaw’s assessment was before hers, and he failed his. During her assessment she thought long and hard about it, but decided ultimately that she wanted to stay in the same den as Starlingpaw, so she purposefully failed her assessment in order to stay with him.
