Appearance
Star that Harolds Night is a lofty, willowy she cat. Her build is very whimsical in nature and feminine in nature. She is average in size with long limbs and tall in height. Her back is a graceful curve with a tail that usually hovers just slightly off the ground. From a distance, she looks pretty average but is only when you look closely that you see how dangerous she truly is. Star's body is well built with muscles. She sheds fat faster than fur, leaving behind a fit body with clearly defined muscles.
Her fur is the only thing that makes Star stand out in a crowd. Cursed by the Tribe of Endless Life, Star is a chimera by nature. Her confused genetics mix together two colours of her parents - a ginger tabby and a solid black. Her right side is that of her mother's. A fiery ginger colour with darker red stripes. She has classic tabby markings, giving her a beautiful swirl along her flank. Her left half is a solid black colour. The fur itself is long in length and thick in texture. Her fur tends to have a woolly texture with fluffy comfort for anyone who leans against her. Star has mismatched eyes. Her left eye is gold while her right eye is bright blue.

Personality
Star is very quiet in personality. She keeps to herself and barely anyone has ever heard her speak. She only talks to those she trusts - even then, it is in a quiet whisper. She hates eye contact and struggles to look anyone in the eyes - especially when talking to them. Star struggles with interacting with others. She's awkward and shy, her tongue turns to rubber every time someone so much as looks at her. As a result, she goes out of her way to keep distance between herself and others. Aloof from the outside, Star tries to keep as much distance between herself and others.
This mostly stems from Star's self conscious ideals. She always doubts herself and second guesses. Growing up unwanted by her birth parents made Star struggle with abandonment issues. The scars of her past made her withdraw within herself to the point where she barely interacts with anyone who isn't her immediate family.
Stoic and cold, Star lives up to her name. Untouchable and always out of reach, she will never get close to anyone if she had the choice. Star lives her life outside the realm of others. She has a fierce independent streak that makes it difficult for her to follow orders. She sneers at conformity and rules. While this makes Star a horrible soldier, it makes her a sympathetic ear to fellow outcasts.
Star has a surprising spine of steel to those who don't know her. She is decisive and does not hesitate to stick with her guns. She is stubbornly loyal, not just to others, but her own ideas. It takes a lot to change this she cat's mind. Thankfully, Star is wise and intelligent enough to make the right choice most of the time. She has a good head on her shoulders and is pretty down-to-earth in attitude.

History
Star that Harolds Night was only several days old when she was adopted by her mothers, Water that Soothes Wounds and Bear that Sleeps in Winter. Before that, she was born to a classic Tribe couple. Rumble of Distant Thunder and Cliff where Ivy Grows were a pair of stone guards that were well liked in the Tribe. They were strong, noble, and beautiful. The perfect example of Tribe cats. Like all picture perfect couples, they wanted to make a family together. Despite their love for one another, they had difficulty conceiving. Most of their attempts ending in false pregnancies. They consulted with the Stone Teller with an appeal for herbs to help with pregnancy. Even this failed.
Overwhelmed by her failure, Rumble spent three days in a solo vigil to appeal to the Tribe of Endless Life for a miracle. She prayed for three days and three nights and returned to her mate with renewed hope. Whether by miracle or chance, Rumble was named pregnant a short time later.
Her pregnancy was riddled with trouble. She fought against horrible morning sickness and constant fatigue. Rumble was eventually forced to retire from her Stone Guard duties very early into her pregnancy. Despite this, the birth itself was very short and painless. Rumble gave birth to a single she kit at the end of New Leaf. All her happiness and relief fled her the moment she caught sight of her kit. It was an abomination - an ill omen. Half of it looked like Rumble - a ginger classic tabby. The other half looked like Cliff, a solid black. It was horrible to look at. Rumble quickly put distance between herself and the horrid creature, claiming loud that this wasn't her kit! It couldn't be! It was a freak of nature. A punishment from the Tribe of Endless Life. It had to be. Rumble turned her back on her new born kit and never looked back.
Orphaned and confused, the young she kit had to be giving a new home immediately. But no one wanted to take her. For hours the Tribe argued over the kit's fate until two stepped forward. Water and her mate Bear claimed responsibility for the kit and adopted her into their family. They already had one kit in their care, what was another? Soon enough, two turned into three and the celestial trio was born. The omen she kit was given the name Star that Harolds Night. Her siblings were given similar names, Sun and Moon. Together, they lit up their mothers life.
Life with her mothers and siblings were some of the best time of Star's life. She has plenty of happy memories of playing moss ball with her siblings and the safety of being tucked under one of her mother's tail. Her childhood passed in an idyllic blur.
By the time she was six moons old, Star was reluctant to become a To-Be. She spent her whole life in her family's den with just her family for company. Being introduced to the whole Tribe was intimidating. Star spent the whole time hiding behind her mother's legs the first time she went outside. She buried her face in her mother's fur and refused to look anyone in the eye. Were it not for her siblings, Star would have been content to live the rest of her life in her family den without seeing the light of day. But her littermates were eager to move on with their lives - to become fully fledged Tribe members.
So Star found herself standing before the Stone Teller, Rain, on her six moon of life. She received her new rank with grace but as soon as the ceremony was finished, she returned to hiding in her family's fur. Unfortunately, her life had taken a sudden change.
She spent her days training alongside her siblings. Every day she worked herself to the bone, until her claws started to bleed, just in an effort to keep up with them. It was clear Star wasn't a natural talent when it came to hunting or fighting. She struggled with all her lessons taught to her by the Tribe. It wasn't until she was ten moons old that things changed once more.
She was patrolling the far reaches of the island at the beginning of dawn when she heard the cry of a cat in distress. Spurred by instinct, Star raced towards the sound. In the shallows of the water, a huge black bear was lumbering towards a pair of Tribe cats. It was the biggest thing Star had ever seen in her life. Big hulking shoulders that shadowed her like a mountain. Built like a wall that was made of black fur and muscles of steel. It scared her so bad it drove the breath out of her chest. She wanted to turn tail and run but the bear was between her and her Tribemates. They did not have the option of running.
Star saw no other choice but to intervene. The thing about standing up against a bear - it builds a bravery in you that makes every other challenge seem like a piece of cake. A fox trying to eat you? Their fangs are nothing compared to a bear. Hawks circle you looking for an easy meal? They have nothing on a bear's bulk. So when Star made the choice to take on a bear to protect her tribemates, she grew a spine of steel.
She bought her tribemates enough time to make their get away and felt an insane urge to lunge at the bear. Instead, she took her leave. She returned to the Tribe with her story and petitioned the Stone Teller to learn under the Stone Guards.
From that day on, Star joined the ranks of the Stone Guards. A fire had sparked in her chest and it urged her to work hard with her fellow guards. Soon enough, Star graduated to a full Stone Guard. Seen as a cold and stoic solider, she intimidates a lot of her tribemates, but she's a damn good guard so no one is complaining.
