MINTNOSE
THISTLECLAN
silver tabby tom with green eyes
warrior
Tom
41 moons
Appearance
Mintnose looks like a pretty elegant creature when it comes to his overall presence. He has long, flowing fur, a nice silvery white sheen, and piercing green eyes. He could probably carry a little bit more muscle, though. With fur hiding his form, there's no real telling if he is thin or thick. But this tom is definitely thin. Especially his legs, which are surprisingly thin and dainty for how short he is. He has a thin face, too, his muzzle and cheeks being more sharp than rounded. But framing his face is an iconic and groomed mane of white fur.
His chest flattens out a little from the mass of fur surrounding his face and shoulders, but transitions into a nice thick, flowing pelt as you follow his body. Jet black streaks and stripes decorate his coat, tabby markings on his head contrasting well with his pale green eyes. The silver entangled in the black gives Mintnose a very unique and pretentious look, making him look more like a kittypet out for a show than a warrior ready to claw your ears off. His nose is a distinctive black, correlating with his stripes but still a sight to catch cats off guard with how much it sticks out from his face.

Personality
› SOFT SPOKEN/INSECURE/SHY
Mintnose is not the type of cat to make the first move. His insecurities prevent that. His own fears and self doubts definitely makes it hard for this tom to make friends. And whenever you can catch him talking, it will always be soft or stuttering. Mintnose would probably break his own voice if he talked louder because of how trained his vocal cords are at not going above the volume of a sleeping mouse. Giving this guy a compliment could not be the most impossible thing to achieve either, because finding good in himself might as well be finding treasure right under his feet. If others can see good in himself, then why can't he? Because they are lying.
› INTELLIGENT/VOICE OF REASON/ADAPTABLE
Despite how much he puts himself down, he really is intelligent. He picks things up incredibly fast, and was the apprentice any mentor could ask for. He knows what questions to ask, what situations things are needed in, and remembers any important tidbits he has ever picked up as if he has a notebook in his head that can not only write anything down with its endless pages, but be able to reference it at any given point in time. He isn't just intelligent, but he is also reasonable. Realistic is his middle name, and if it isn't realistic, he will voice his reasoning and every word that will come out will be sickeningly logical. Adapting is also another impressive trait he has in his equipment, his quick thinking and finding content in any event he is hit with making it an easy time to go through the unpredictability of life.
› NON-REBELLIOUS/PASSIVE/FAMILY ORIENTED
Mintnose has always been a rule follower. And he has always truly believed in the rules he's followed, too. Unless it interfered with logic, Mintnose is the type to religiously follow rules and guidelines even if it killed him. But he is also very passive, too. If a rule told him to cause a fight even with the most logical reason attached, Mintnose would have trouble. He definitely isn't keen on fighting, physically or verbally, and will always take the pacifist route if possible. That being said, he would raise a claw if it came to his family. Family and blood is a very integrated part of Mintnose's life, and is the only thing he can grow confidence from.

History
Mintnose was always the follower, always the one who gets pushed around. Growing up, he loved his family, especially his mother, Cedarflame. Adderstrike, his father, just seemed so much more amused and proud of his more rambunctious siblings, and he never knew why. But his mother always seemed to be there with encouraging support. If it wasn't for her, he would probably be an even more insecure mess than he was now. But his siblings, Foxshade and Tawnyfire, would make sure he would stay on that self deprecating path.
Resentment was the harshest word Mintnose could use to describe his feelings toward his siblings. He was still close to them, but being the youngest, it didn't help him being the butt of all their adventures. He didn't mind though. He liked not being the leader, or not sharing the scars and bruises that his siblings would be marked with as evidence of their misbehavior. It was the fact that his siblings would always have to save him.
As apprenticeship hit, Mintnose was consistently bullied for how soft he was compared to his denmates. And he would never fight back, which would of course make things worse for him. He never knew what to say back to the insults. He was smart, but not clever. However, his sisters were, and they always had something to say back to his attacker. He appreciated the concern, but it would only make Mintnose look weaker.
When his apprenticeship was ending, his mother caught him off guard with a little secret that he had caught while sharing a catch up meal due to his excitement over a move he learned. He very frequently would ask his mother to join him in his meals, she was the only one he trusted. But he would have never thought his mother would be the type to have kits without his father.
Seeing her side, Mintnose never held any resentment for her. For various reasons he blocked out, she wasn't happy, but he definitely felt disappointment when she told him she didn't have the guts to tell anyone or come clean that she cheated. But he tried to support her and his half siblings any way he could.
