- Dandelionkit was born to Lynxstrike and Badgersnow. Her parents were deeply in love and had been close since they were apprentices. Since they were younger they had always desired to be parents, but struggled for many moons to have children. When they were getting older and finally considering retiring to the elders den the following year. Lynxstrike and Badgersnow said a silent wish one new-leaf to a dandelion puff that they would hopefully get one shot at being parents. They were surprised to find out moons later that Lynxstrike was expecting. Their prayers had been answered and Dandelionkit and her two siblings were born that following bare-leaf. She was born the eldest and was named Dandelionkit. After the dandelion puff her parents had made a wish on. Her brother Hailkit was then born second. He was a large kitten compared to his much smaller sisters. Their father Badgersnow always joked he got his bulk from him. Last born was her sister Stormykit named after the snow storm they were born in. The early days in her kithood life was uneventful. Until it grew colder and the usual cases of whitecough and greencough started to appear around camp. Her father Badgersnow fell victim to greencough and passed away when she was only 3 moons old. A week later her brother Hailkit followed. Her mother Lynxstrike became depressed and within drawn at first towards Dandelionkit and her sister Stormykit. 

- When Dandelionpaw reached the age of an apprentice. She was excited and wanted to leave the grief from her kithood behind. Wanting a more positive outlook on life. That was until her life continued to throw more punches. She received her aunt Foxcreek as her mentor. Foxcreek was her mother's sister. Foxcreek was known for being a strict. Her mother was overjoyed and hoped Foxcreek would toughen Dandelionpaw up. When Foxcreek paid attention to Dandelionpaw she focused mainly on wanting Dandelionpaw to learn how to swim. A common skill to learn in Lichenclan and a skill that Dandelionpaw struggled for a long time to grasp. At the same time her mentor neglected to teach her other useful skills like hunting, fishing, and basic fighting until Dandelionpaw learned how to properly swim. Which much to Dandelionpaw led to her frustration. As an apprentice Dandelionpaw was jealous of her sister Stormypaw because she believed her sister got the better mentor. The two sisters became completive with each other during their entire apprenticehood. This rivalry is one of the many reasons Dandelionpaw blames her sister for the death of her mentor Foxcreek. One day during a rather explosive argument regarding if Dandelionpaw had actually learned how to swim or not. Stormypaw dares her to swim out to a certain point on the shoreline. Dandelionpaw wanting to prove her sister wrong tried to swim out to the point her sister pointed out, but it ended up being during a thunderstorm. The strong current and crashing waves almost took Dandelionpaw under the water, but if it hadn't been for Stormypaw's quick actions and Foxcreek saving her from drowning. Dandelionpaw wouldn't be alive today. Dandelionpaw's foolish rivalry with her sister ended up costing her mentor Foxcreek's life. The older she cat had inhaled too much water while trying to keep the younger cat a float. When the pair reached the stormy shoreline. Her mentor had collapsed and passed away. Dandelionpaw spent a few days in the  Their mentors who were also siblings were against of their rivalry being so toxic and tried to get them to become friends, but failed. Dandelionpaw was almost a warrior when his mother, Paleheart encountered a fox and was slain in the battle. Her death affected Dandelionpaw deeply, and he was overwhelmed with grief for a long time.
