I'm only giving a brief description of Shade's family. This is how he sees and understands them from his kithood/brief interactions.

I'm only giving a brief description of Shade's family. This is how he sees and understands them from his kithood/brief interactions.
- Swallowtooth (father)
- Adoption Status: Open
- Age: 20+ moons older than Shade
- Personality: Proud, Violent, and Assertive.
- Appearance: Dark seal point
- Notes: Swallowtooth is an abusive individual, varying from verbally to physical, when it comes to Shade. However, this character has a possibility for a redemption story if the adopter chooses. However, I ask it's not done off screen but part of the character's current story and worked on by both of us.
-Shadowfrost (mother)
- Adoption Status: Pending.
- Age: 20+ moons older than Shade
- Personality: Depressed and distant.
- Appearance: Solid black cat or cat with black genetics.
- Notes: Shade's mother fell into depression after kitting and despite the Medicine cat's efforts, she never recovered completely. While she didn't do much for them, she at least neglected both Shade and his brother equally. In the present, she can reconnect with Shade and having gotten better with her depression. Her personality is mainly up to the adopter, but I request they keep her past in mind when creating it.
-Velvetpaw (Brother)
- Adoption Status: Open
- Age: Same as Shade's.
- Personality: The father's favored son so spoiled, arrogant, and any traits that fit this role.
- Appearance: Solid black cat (subject to change by the adopter)
- Notes: The golden child of their family, Shade's brother has never been struck or punished for his crimes. I left it vague how the brothers interacted save that he wasn't a huge part of Shade's life. They have some bad blood and I prefer to their re-connection happen IC with the ups and downs.
Barkheart (Redwood clan)
- Lobelifur (mother)
- Adoption Status: Open
- Age: 20+ moons older than Bark/Crescent
- Personality: Manipulative, Self-absorbed, actress
- Appearance: Tortie, Black Tabby, Black Molly
- Notes: There is a rift between Bark and her, their relationship strained to the point he hates his mother.
- Frognose (father)
- Adoption Status: Open
- Age: 20+ moons older than Bark/Crescent
- Personality: up to adopter
- Appearance: Red Tom
- Notes: Frognose was never apart of Bark or Crescent's life, the reason unknown or developed.
Vixen (Rogue)
- Rookeye (father)
- Adoption Status: Open
- Age: 20+ moons older than Vixen
- Personality: Up to the adopter
- Appearance: Black Tom
- Notes: Rookeye didn't allow Mottlepelt, Vixen's mother, to join Thistle clan and instead used a threat to chase her off. In his youth he cheated on his mate, Snowgust, with flings between she-cats outside his clan. How he is today is up to the adopter.
-Snowgust (Rookeye's present mate)
- Adoption Status: Open
- Age: 17+ moons older than Vixen
- Personality: Gentle, quiet, but firm about her mind.
- Appearance: Up to the adoptable, she's pretty flexible
- Notes: She was made aware of her mate's flings some time after Vixen's conception. However, she's completely obvious of Mottlepelt's kits or their fates.
Side note: Vixen, being a half clanner rogue, has family in Lichen Clan and Thistle Clan. If an adopter wants to extend the family and create a connection with her than by all means. However, their knowledge of her existence is pretty limited or nothing at all. Mostly because Mottlepelt felt in secret before her kits were born.
Adoption Rules:
1. Character changes are negotiable, but I would like to keep the basics I’ve listed unless noted otherwise. Any qualities not mentioned are free game. An example of what isn’t accepted would be Swallowtooth suddenly becoming an ideal father to Shade without any threads to support the change in view or heart. Shade has a broken relationship with his family and I rather it was mended through character interaction than pretending it doesn’t exist.
2. Adopters have a month to write and get the bio accepted. Failure to do that will result in the cat going back up for adoption unless I’m contacted and asked to extend the limit. I understand real life gets in the way and I’m flexible when notified of that.
3. After the character is approved: If there’s no activity since approval or any replies after I try to contact the owner on discord, I will put the character back up for adoption. This will happen after a month.
I try to be fair and flexible, but I also want to not write by myself. So these rules are to ensure I have active and willing writers for Shade’s family.
Side Notes.
If anyone has a cat that they want to have been a relative of Shade or any of my cats, feel free to contact me. We'll talk before confirming. Mainly because a few of my cats are also adopted out from other members, and they have a say if they want relatives too.
