Sand Warmed by Sweltering Sun is a rebellious to-be who despises being bossed around or told what to do, meeting controlling cats with a hot head and fiery tongue. After being controlled for the first six moons of his life, the free-spirited tabby wants nothing to do with order and would much rather do what he thinks is best. This isn't to say that the tabby is a trouble-maker, even if he does enjoy a prank or two from time to time. He's actually rather hard-working, wanting nothing more than to make up for his absence in the tribe up until now. He just thinks that such control is damaging to him and any other cat forced under instruction. If only he had gone against his parents during the sickness, then maybe... Well, he doesn't know exactly. He was just a kit after all. But still, Sand has no intentions of being absent from anything else in the future and longs to be the best Prey-Hunter he can to make sure his tribe prospers.

With his need to make up for his past wrongdoings, Sand can easily take his ambitions too far. He’s quick to overwork himself, a perfectionist to a certain extent. He works hard until things are just right. He’s known to project this perfectionism onto other cats, quickly becoming controlling or bossy despite his distaste for cats like this. Since he sees himself as the only competent cat in the family, he can easily extend that belief to being the most competent to-be or prey hunter, or perhaps hero of the the entire tribe. He’s arrogant to say the least and can be prone to his need to fix what his family didn't. Of course Sand isn't aware of his ego, his cockiness far subtler than a cat much bolder than he. Not only that, he is quite delusional and his ambitions induce nativity. Still, his knack for catching onto things quickly and his opportunist nature propels his manipulative tendencies and wants to make sure everything is going well in the tribe.

Sand isn’t all mischief and cockiness however and is quite the approachable cat when he isn’t overworking himself. He’s extremely outgoing and loves mingling with his tribemates The to-be has already found a balance between work and play and looks forward to the fun he always has with his peers. He isn’t beyond a good prank and loves adventuring most of all. He longs to cross the sandbar where the clan cats say they come from and see how that land could possibly aid the tribe in all their traumas. It won’t be long until he’s dragging a friend that way, but for now, he has to practice his hunter’s crouch!

Sand wears his heart on his sleeve and is prone to exploding with any emotions. He’s usually excitable despite his nonchalant demeanor, but can easily explode in flames if someone provokes him or bosses him around. Likewise, sadness is a feeling that hits him like most other cats, but it typically takes the form of anger for the young tom. Regardless, Sand’s feelings will always be known as he has no reason to hide them. If you’ve done something wrong or even right, you will know.
