EXPANDED MODIFIER SYSTEM
While the age modifiers for the dice system will continue to be used, this expanded modifier system will allow members to customize their character’s modifiers to better suit them. This is completely optional, and members can participate in this system as much or as little as they want.
Stat Points:
The expanded modifier system works by allowing characters to earn stat points through completing IC criteria in a thread. Characters can earn a total of 12 stat points with a max of three points in each category. The categories are:
Strength: Add +1 to the character’s Damage Roll
Defense: Subtract -2 from the opponent’s Damage Roll
Accuracy: Add +1 to the character’s Attack/Hunt Success Roll
Vitality: Add +5 to the character’s HP
Special Stat: Battle Buddy
This special stat can be earned to use when in battle with a character's "buddy." This cat can only be earned once by each character, and therefore, characters cannot have multiple 'battle buddies.' The benefits of this stat are as follows:1. Crit success benefits can be transferred to the Buddy once during battle, and must be used in the buddy's next post.
2. Success/Accuracy Dice Rolls get a +2 during the course of the battle.
3. Damage Roll can get a +5 once during a battle for a special "team move."
The decision to use benefits 1 & 2 must be made before rolls are posted.
Using Stat Points:
These are in addition to the current age modifier in play on the site. So if character earns one Strength stat, when they roll the damage dice in battle it will be:[dice roll] + [age modifier + 1] = damage
Or if the character earns one accuracy stat, when they roll the attack or hunt success roll it will be:[dice roll] + [age modifier +1] = attack
Characters can earn as many or as few stat points as the roleplayer see’s fit. A character doesn’t have to earn all the stat points in all categories.
If a character is known for their strength, the roleplayer may choose to have their character only earn the strength stat points. If their character is known for their hunting prowess, the roleplayer may choose to only earn the accuracy stat points. Or, if a character is a well rounded warrior, the roleplayer may choose to have their character earn one stat point in each category. It’s all dependent on you, the roleplayer, and how you envision your character.
Notes for apprentices: Apprentices can only earn 1 stat point in each category during their apprenticeship. Once they are named a warrior they may continue their training to earn the additional stat points.
Requirements:
In order to redeem stat points certain requirements must be met. A character must complete two threads meeting the themed criteria based on the stat point the player wishes to earn. Threads should be completed. This means they have at least six posts total and have reached a narrative conclusion.Redeeming Stat Points:
*The Battle Buddy Stat has additional requirements, please read over its section carefully.
Each category has its own themed requirements. As long as the theme is met in some way, and is a key aspect to the thread, members have control over how to interpret the themes for each category.
Strength: Threads can be themed around battle training, completing and winning an actual battle, or any thread that demonstrates the character training in such a way that builds strength.
Defense: Threads can be themed around battle training, completing and winning an actual battle, or any thread that demonstrates the character training in such a way as to build up defense.
Accuracy: Threads can be themed around battle training, hunting prey, or any thread that demonstrates the character training in such a way as to build up speed or accuracy in implementing moves (for example, the apprentices might host a race, or the warrior goes on a hunting patrol and successfully catches prey).
Vitality: Threads can be themed around healthy practices (diet, mindfulness, etc), or can be a thread in which the character interacts with that Clan's medicine cat.
Special Stat Battle Buddy: This stat has additional requirements. To earn this stat, the two characters must complete Four (4) Threads with each other. Two of the threads can be themed around anything, so long as it builds the relationship between the two characters. Two of the threads must be focused on battle training to show the characters work well together in battle.
Once a character has completed the two threads to meet the required theme for the stat point the roleplayer must post in the Stat Redemption Thread with the required form. Once the stat has been accepted, it will be added to the character's biography by a staff member.Final Note:Character Bio: [a href=""]Name[/a]

As a reminder, the expanded modifier system is to be used in conjunction with the Universal & Battle Dice Rules. As such, is OPTIONAL. Both members have to agree to the system before the battle starts. If one member does not want to use dice in battle, then the other member has to agree.
Dice are meant to be entirely fun! and should be used to enrich a thread. If there are any issues with the dice, or other members are using them unfairly or against the rules, contact a staff member.
