For RedwoodClan, Lynxpaw will always be slightly smaller in size, though compared to ThistleClan she is veritably tall. With a rectangular body and slightly short legs, she will grow to stand between her mother and father in height. Her build will be muscular and stocky by the time she reaches warriorhood, but as a kitten, she looks pudgy and rounded, a look that is accentuated by her fluffy fur.

Lynxpaw's fur is long and dense resulting in a puffy appearance that will only sleek out when she reaches warriorhood. She is marked with brown mackerel tabby stripes, though the exact markings are challenging to make out through the fluffiness of her fur. Even the fur between her toes sticks up in comical tufts. Her muzzle, chest, belly, and paws are all marked with white.

Perched on Lynxpaw's head are two ears that are distinctively curled at the ends. The fluff in her ears sticks out from within wildly as a result, great puff balls on the corners of her rectangular head. She has a delicately small muzzle tipped with a light salmon-colored nose. Her forehead is broad, and her cheeks are fluffed and full. Her eyes are brown in color and are usually wide with curiosity.

From birth, Lynxpaw's identity has always been tied to the morality and honor of her parents. Each story of nobility and courage leaves her starry-eyed and eager to follow in her father's footsteps. Rules and following them fill young Lynxpaw with a sense of purpose, and she acts with the intention of doing good and following each code and custom she can to the utmost of her ability. When she fails, she will always tell the truth about it, not shrinking away from consequences she has earned. The shame she puts upon herself for failing to follow the rules is usually more severe than any punishment she might receive, but it hurts more to do wrong and to hide it than to tell the truth.


Lynxpaw holds herself to a nearly impossible standard. She expects herself to uphold all of the ideals that RedwoodClan believes in to the utmost, even when they might cause her to suffer emotionally or physically. She is a black-and-white thinker, believing herself only worthy of praise and feeling good about herself if she is able to do everything right. If she fails at even one of her goals, she feels as though she has failed at being the cat she is meant to be. Once she has her mind set on something, she will never sway even when offered proof of the alternative. This is especially true with more vague and indescribable concepts like the inherent morality of rogues or the importance of border neutrality. However, she is known to deny facts when they go against her rigid sense of morality.


Lynxpaw believes that, despite their flaws, each cat ultimately just wants to do the right thing. She thinks that all of her clanmates are inherently good, and all of the cats beyond RedwoodClan are misunderstood but acting with as much compassion and kindness as they can in their differing situations. She doesn't believe any cat could possibly act in a bad way because they're just "evil" and struggles intensely when those around her act poorly without any real reason for their cruelty. She does not ignore the fact that sometimes, others will act in a way that is opposed to her ideals and what is believed to be right or wrong, but she usually assumes that their decisions come from a place of morality and purity.


Above everything else, Lynxpaw wants to be kind. She sees no point in following the warrior code or any other sense of morality if she is unable to be generous and compassionate while doing it. Given her belief in the inherent good of the being, she does all she can to treat others as though they are valued even when socially they are not. Little compares in importance to her internal sense of right and wrong, so above all else, she follows it passionately and with the utmost dedication.

Born in the balmy heat of greenleaf, Lynxkit came to the earth in a time of plenty and hardship in equal measure. Prey and herbs ran rich, and she never went hungry or sick for long, but at the borders, war threatened her clanmates each passing day. Born to the protective queen Curlycloud, she never faced true danger, but the tension of the conflict and the distrust of certain clanmates because of it still came to her in distant echoes. Her father, Oaktalon, was another reminder - for he had seen battle and wore it in many scars that stood out from the pallor of his pelt whenever he visited his litter.

Lynxkit was born with a single littermate, Wolfkit, but was also raised in tandem with Ashkit and Rowankit - two kits who's mother had died before they were weaned. While they did have a loving father in their lives, Lynxkit enjoyed playing with all of her denmates, no matter how her father narrowed her eyes at the two interlopers.

During her kithood, Lynxkit proved herself a dedicated rule follower. She tended to the nursery whenever she made a mess to spare her mother and other queens from having to clean it, and often took it upon herself to clean others' messes for similar reasons. When she did play, she was rambunctious and full of energy, practicing battle moves so that she could defend RedwoodClan from all threats just like her father did. 

Upon her sixth moon, Lynxkit was named Lynxpaw. She was assigned a stalwart and loyal mentor, Barkheart.
