LITTER CONTEXT

When Elmlight was just a kit, she never imagined that the one cat she played with the most would be her mate. He was only a few moons older than her but that didn’t stop her from wanting to be around him. He played the best games with her when she was young, helped her understand things before she became an apprentice. During that time friendship grew into something else. She sought him out just to be around him. During a basic training session, she found herself wanting him to notice her. To see how great she was doing in her training.

As time flew by, this feeling started to turn into something else for the molly. A feeling that she was unsure if he felt the same. When she was around him, she wanted to ask him his feelings but didn’t want to feel rejected. This was a feeling she already knew all too well… After being made a warrior she finally got the nerve to confess her feelings for him. Afterwards she came to find out that he did reciprocate her feelings. She couldn’t believe her ears when he asked her to be his mate. But it would be moons before they actually had kits. It just wasn’t the right time. As the snow was starting to loosen its grip on the island and the war over, they finally set in motion the little family they always wanted.

Time flew by after the new couple welcomed their new kits into the world. Sadly, either by Starclan's decision or misfortune, one small kit who took after their mother didn't make it. They mourned their loss and buried the fragile body beneath a strong oak tree. Not wanting to dwell in pain, their attention turned upon the surviving young. A young male that took after his mother while the young she-cat took after her father. Bathed in the glow of parenthood, the pair watched with kindness and love as their kits grew. They prayed for a lasting peace to remain.

The stars seemed to have other plans. Tensions rose between Thistle Clan and Redwood, the prior taking advantage of the former's generosity. Elmlight was half clan, having family in both, seemed especially anxious. She bid her time in telling the truth of this history to her young purely to avoid burdening them. A decision her mate supported despite his hopefulness that it didn't matter.

Barkheart
Having no father and a manipulative mother in his life, Barkheart wants his kits to experience love and thrive. At first, he’ll look to more experienced fathers for advice. This will not stop him from stumbling as he must hone his own method. In the end, his kits will learn his own morals and that he’ll always be there for them. However, he will want them to realize their lives are their own path to lead and he will support them no matter what.


Elmlight
As a mother, Elmlight will do what she can to keep her kits happy. She will rely a lot on her mother, not knowing the first thing about being a mother. Her own making it look so easy despite being a single parent. When they are old enough to understand she will tell them about their Thistleclan family. She will also one day talk to them about their family in Lichenclan. The Uncle she hopes they get to meet someday.

2. If you are approved to adopt one of the kids, you are more then welcome to reference their previous bios if you wanna keep them similar to how they are. 
3. Rewrites of personality, history, and appearances are all right. However, please keep in mind the parentage that they come from and try to fit the changes within reason. For example, neither Barkheart or Elmlight are cruel to their kids and try their best to be good parents. However how successful they are is up to the narrative.
