Mintbreeze is a tall, elegant tom. He is a fair amount taller than his brother, Milkblaze. Mintbreeze is not particularly muscular– most of his strength comes from his size. However, his legs are the most muscular part of him, as with any RedwoodClan warrior, thanks to the large redwood trees in their territory. Mintbreeze has a stark white pelt with a black patch fanning out from his left eye. His right ear is partially white, and both of his ears have white tips. His tail is completely black with the black fur stopping at the base of his tail so it does not encroach further on his body. His pawpads are all pink, and his nose is a particularly bright pink. Mintbreeze has a wide face and two bright green eyes.

Mintbreeze is a quiet, pacifistic tom. Don’t get him wrong, though, he is absolutely willing to fight and die for his Clan, he just believes that there are other solutions to conflict than war. He is socially awkward, and wishes he were more like his brother. He does not tell anyone this, however. He speaks most often to his father, and rarely to his Clanmates. When he does speak to his Clanmates, they find him to be off-putting due to his vague and defensive nature. Mintbreeze adheres to the warrior code and does believe in StarClan.

+Observant: Mintbreeze is very observant. He likes to watch his Clanmates go about their day rather than be involved with them. He often picks up on tiny behaviors that can clue him in to what a cat is feeling or thinking. Because of this trait, he is very quiet and thinks more often than he speaks. This can offer him an advantage in terms of not being reckless.

+Pacifist: Mintbreeze is a pacifist in the sense that he believes that war is often not necessary. This view stems from his own experiences with war and battles, and his father’s impressions on him. He believes that anything can be compromised on, and in his own conflicts, he’d rather talk something out than fight it out. This trait makes him a good mediator, and keeps him out of conflict.

-Evasive: Mintbreeze is evasive when interacting with his Clanmates or other cats. When he does speak, he’s often vague and defensive in his words and body language. For example, he will sit a certain distance away from a cat when talking to them, or hang behind on a patrol. He will lightly manipulate other cats if he feels that too much attention is being brought to himself. He has difficulty retaining eye contact as well. This causes him to be disconnected from his Clanmates.

-Jealous: Though it may not seem like it, Mintbreeze is jealous of his brother Milkblaze. Mintbreeze hates that he has difficulty interacting with his Clanmates, and wishes he could be more of a fighter. He has trouble accepting himself for who he is, making his relationship with his brother somewhat tumultuous. This also causes him to hold some loathing toward himself.

Mintkit was born just before the 2021 season, alongside his brother, Milk-kit, to warriors Blazeleap and Sagepool. As a kit, he didn’t play often, especially with his brother. He hated how rowdy he was. Mintkit was always closer to his father than his mother and brother, finding peace in Sagepool’s aversion to the war.

Upon his apprenticeship, Mintpaw went along with the battle training because he believed he needed to fight only for the good of the Clan. However, he never sought out skirmishes or battles. He did not have a close relationship with his mentor. As Milkpaw grew closer to Blazeleap, Mintpaw grew ever closer to Sagepool. He participated in only a few battles at this time, one of the main ones being LichenClan’s attempted attack on RedwoodClan that resulted in a RedwoodClan victory.

Upon becoming a warrior, Mintbreeze participated in many of the major battles, but only as necessary for what he believed to be for the good of the Clan. The horrors and losses of war contributed to his pacifistic nature, however he grew to thoroughly dislike LichenClan, which is an opinion of his that has remained with him. Though, he is not nearly as nationalistic as some of his Clanmates. He participated in the final major battle in the war alongside his brother, but again, fought only as necessary and never went out of his way to try to kill any cat. Mintbreeze always looked down upon Milkblaze’s aggressive fighting style, though he never voiced it to him. He kept his distance from his brother during the battle. These days, he lays back and enjoys the peace, hoping for a prolonged time without war.
