LONER

echo won't be growing up to be any genetic monster of a cat nor will he be a runt of any sort. no, his genes spelled another path, granting him the future of being....a normal sized cat. as exciting as that may sound, what is even more exciting is the fact that although the blue that taints his coat may be a faded blue, as he grows, that will also change with his size, darkening with each moont that passes.

what will be staying the same is the ticked pattern to his fur, the only clear tabby markings on his pelt being directly on his face. his muzzle is short but narrow and handsome, pointed with a sharp black nose. His tail is long and grows darker in shade as you glide your gaze down to the tip. While his paws, underbelly and chin share the opposite feature, fading into lighter shades as you scan from top to bottom of the cat.

echo's eyes are an earthy yellow that seems to be easier to recognize it as a brown. the only true oddity to echo in his physical form is how one of his top fangs seems to be longer than the other, sticking out from his top lip as if he were constantly sneering.

passionate | enthusiastic 
echo has his mother's love of life, passionate about the thrills of hunting and fighting and being a real cat. he can easily find excitement in anything, and is easily livened by fresh experiences and knowledge. he wants to learn and experience as much as possible, absorbing anything that doesn't remind him of dark or damp tunnels, and finding comfort in anything new or fresh. he has an energy that is fueled by restless emotions that he may find hard communicating, but as long as choses not to shut down entirely, this energy shouldn't overwhelm him. Shouldn't. 

distrustful | independent 
echo can come across as very suspicious of others, his lack of consistent connections in his life making it hard to trust in other cats. he doesn't befriend easily, but every connection he does make will count and more than likely will be close. his lack of trust in cats around him is encouraged by his own solace in solitude company, and thus he finds his freedom very important to him.

loyal | protective
echo is not loyal to every cat, but he will without hesitation give his life for any cat he deems worthy of his endearment. in fact, if you can work hard enough to get echo's attention and trust, you would deserve to be rewarded a lifetime body guard with how much work you would have had to put into. although he might not make an equal partner in battle, paying more attention to protecting his partner over concerning himself with his own part in the teamwork.

short-tempered | blunt
as excited as the tom can get about the thrills of life, it seems that passion also sets him back, his eagerness to consume joy making him vulnerable to the disappointments and hurt of life's tribulations. he is quick to react bitterly to anything not registering as 'fair' in his eyes, and has a temper to back up any barks or bites. his bluntness in defending his own perspective and morals also bleeds into his general means of communication, never thinking twice about the honesty in his opinions and thus, although he can come across as rude, he is at least reliably genuine in his words and feelings.

echo is the single child of lichenclan's Mantisflame and Ashfrost, a relationship born in as complex of a situation as the kit's own. a secret rendezvous fueled by loneliness and understanding, echo's parents' lives were never supposed to intertwine so deeply, let alone cradle a life that would forever be affected by their decisions or past comforts with one another. but the lonely lover and lonely rebel nevertheless did, and thus, echo was born, delivered in the tunnels in a difficult birth Mantisflame suffered alone. due to Ashfrost constructing multiple emergency dens for Mantisflame's escape from LichenClan, the blue warrior had only found the duo by following the sounds of the echoes from Mantisflame's calls, thus echo's name was founded.

He lived in peace with his mother, the few visits from his father encouraging an excitement for clan life in him. But on his 6th moon on the night of the great battle, his mother was taken from him by a clan cat in the fray of battle, and from that day forward his thrive to be a warrior ceased, choosing to be a loner exclusively named Echo instead. When finding his father after the battle, they chose to travel together in the northern territories, finding new purpose elsewhere.
