THE ISLAND
14,000 Years Before Present:
The land is covered by a glacier more than a half-mile thick.10,000 Years Before Present:
Only hostile Pleistocene cats roam the land, driven by their need for bloodshed and survival.
The glacier sheets retreat north, and in its wake, Lake Superior is born. Over time, the waves from the melt slowly form the Apostle Islands.2,000 Years Before Present:
The Pleistocene animals die with the waves.
The great lakes start to flow into the St. Lawrence River, which forms their current configuration.
Natives from the Late Woodland tradition also occupy the islands and use them as temporary campsites for hunting, fishing, and gathering.
Bobcats, lynx, and cougars roam the Lake Forest in hostile formations unable to form peaceful clans.
----------
Seasons 1635-1700:European settlers arrive in Wisconsin, and with them, come domesticated cats.Season 1816
In the Late Woodland tradition, natives tribes -- the Ojibwe and Dakota -- use the islands as resources for food and rest.
The first military outpost is erected in Prairie du Chien and expansion into the state begins.Seasons 1850s
The domesticated cats follow as the settlers move north. The settlers then start to hunt on the islands, and over time, the bobcats, lynx, and cougars are eliminated and hunted from the islands. The settlers also kill wolves, coyotes, foxes, and black bears in droves.
The great frontier ends and settlements begin. This includs the islands, since trapping and fisheries careen the area into a necessary stop on the trade route. The opening of the Sault Canal in 1855 also increases the already heavy traffic on Lake Superior.Seasons 1880s
Domestic cats litter the many settlements. Some remain idle kitty-pets, and others disappear into the hardwood forests to form their own colonies.
The first ancestors of the modern clans roam the islands as hostile creatures. Their inability to negotiate or form an agreed hierarchical system causes them to live in eternal bloodshed.
With the completion of the Railroad, new markets for lumber, fish, and sandstone accelerate development in the region. Families flock to the islands to make a profit and some tourism begins.Seasons 1900s
The hostile wild cats also accelerate in numbers, as more cats are carried to the island and evade their two-leg homes.
In particular, the cats on Rocky Island and South Twin Island dissolve into an endless war with one another. Their ancestors watch in silence.
By the 1900s, the resources on the islands are slowly depleted. The fishers decimate the whitefish population. Lumber mills nearly destroy all of the white pine on the islands. Soon the hemlock, hardwood, and cedar follow. The once flourished farms on the islands slowly turn over into summer tourism and recreation.Season 1936
In 1901, the islands succumb to a horrible flood. The alleged twenty-second island -- Little Steamboat Island -- vanishes completely from unknown natural forces.
The wild cats name this horrific event the Great Waters. In response to their relentless bloodshed, their ancestors raise the lake in a fury and cut them into pieces.
The thin land that once connected Rocky Island and South Twin Island erodes into the water, and the ancestors of the clan and tribe cats come into fruition. The cats that followed the first stone-teller become the tribe. The cats that remained on Rocky island become the clans.
In 1910, the clan cats separate into the clans now known as Redwoodclan, Thistleclan, and Lichenclan based on their ethics and beliefs.
For more information on this event visit the Lore.
The worst cold wave on record devastates North America. The midwest is hurt the most. The cold wave stretches from Novemeber to March. The lowest temperatures are recorded in February as -58 F / -50 C.Season 1942
Redwoodclan and Thistleclan lose a large percentage of their kits and apprentices to the cold. The clan cats all move into their respective warrior's den to preserve heat. Starvation hits the clan hard. Thistleclan tunnels into the earth and erects their modern den structures to survive. Lichenclan suffers from a lack of prey but loses few to the brutal temperatures, since the caves isolate them from the cold.
The tribe is also decimated from the cold and all move toward the tribe stone for warmth. Their young also succumb to the cold and several tribe members die from starvation.
Another flood devastates the islands. For twelve hours, intermittent heavy rainfall decimates the area. The water surges into the towns -- some gullies fifty feet wide and twenty feet deep. Large waves from the lake spit boulders and logs up onto the land, which further destroys the settlements. Even unearthed caskets tear up from the earth and carry bodies and limbs through the streets. Astonishingly, there are no reported deaths.Season 1946
The three clans -- Redwoodclan, Thistleclan, and Lichenclan -- now established are in the midst of another cross-island war. Their leaders -- Lionstar, Needlestar, and Heronstar -- are ravenous cats with a need for bloodshed.
Disappointed in their actions, their ancestors call on the great waves to remind them of their sin. The flood kills the leaders and many of their followers on the island. In its wake, new leadership is appointed, and the clans return to a short-lived peace.
The death of Heronstar ignits the desire for Lichenclan to rid its pacifist roots. However -- this fire remains largely concealed for some seasons yet.
The tribe avoids the waters, due to the inclination they have for the natural world. Their teller at the time -- a cat named Whitefish -- listens to the lake and leads his cats to the highest point on the island. They come out unscathed, albeit drenched to the bone.
As tourism flourishes, Rocky Island Air Haven opens on the main island. It comes with a restaurant, rental cabins, and a campground, which caters to trollers and hunters. Some summer homes are also built adjacent to the cabins on the northern peninsula.Season 1960s
The clan cats watch the construction with unease. With the increase in tourism comes more outsiders. Some farm cats become loners, while some kitty-pets enter the forests, ill-suited to the harsh conditions. Thistleclan suffers the most, as their land slowly succumbs to hunters and stray outsiders.
The tribe remains unaffected by industries or tourism due to its small size. South Twin Island is too small for a consistent two-leg presence. This allows the tribe to become more connected to the natural earth, their existence unbothered by human interference.
As the commercial industry depletes, tourism became critical on the island. This is when the islands are first introduced as a National Lakeshore in order to preserve its natural shorelines and sea caves. It is also the only way the islands can now make a profit due to the collapse of the fishing industry.Seasons 1970
The clan cats -- without constant human interaction -- flourish in an era of peace. However, the summer months are brutal due to the sudden increase in tourism. Thistleclan continues its battle with new loners and consistent two-leg intrusion.
The Apostle Islands are declared a National Lakeshore in an effort to save its natural resources. Tourism becomes the only human interaction on the islands.Season 2000s
The clan cats continue to live in a constant ebb and flow. Some seasons carry conflict, others continue in harmony. The summer months are the hardest, due to the increase in campers and recreational events.
The tribe remains in their own unity. Only the weather and the sudden sickness ever carries conflict for the island dwellers.
Due to climate change, the islands see an increase in disastrous weather and a raise in water levels. This destroys some of the trails on the islands beyond repair. In addition, the appeal of tourism on the islands decreases, and many of the islands lack any funds to maintain their once lavish attractions. Rocky Island -- further out from the mainland -- becomes abandoned and almost devoid of human interaction.
The once popular cabins on the island become desolate and dreary. Their homes no longer support human life, but become havens for rogues and loners.
Without the threat of tourism, the clan cats take control over the island. Thistleclan -- for the first time -- is able to raise as a notable threat to the other clans, since they are not plagued by two-legs and their cats.
REDWOODCLAN
Season 1901
The hostile wild cats succumb to the Great Waters. The cats who follow Tide become the tribe. The cats who remain on Rocky Island form the Warrior Code and try to coexist as one clan under their elected leader: Star.Season 1910
The clan cats dissolve into chaos once more as their values to account for a new world change. Some believe the code is too outdated, others believe the code should be followed as their ancestors intended. The debates turn into bloodshed, and their first elected leader, Star, old and decrepit, is found dead by the waterfall.Season 1920
The one clan then breaks into three distinct clans. The cats who believe in the original code become Redwoodclan under their new elected leader: Ospreystar. Peace returns to the island, and it is decided that each full moon the clans will reunite by the waterfall in harmony to honor their first leader.
A mother bear intrudes the redwood camp in search of its cubs. The clan loses three warriors and two kits in an effort to drive it from their territory.Season 1942
Lichenclan declares war on both Redwoodclan and Thistleclan. Under the guidance of his medicine cat, Coyotecall, Heronstar believes that the other two clans are filled with heretics. He barricades the other medicine cats from the Mooncave and attacks them at the full-moon.
Lionstar retaliates and also uses the Lichenclan threat as leverage to take more land from Thistleclan, since the increase in tourism and war has weakened their clan.
Starclan retaliates and calls a flood to devastate the clans. All three leaders are drowned and lose all lives at once.
Whitestar becomes the new leader of Redwoodclan and returns the land to Thistleclan.
Seasons 1950s
Redwoodclan and Lichenclan move between periods of conflict and peace based on their leadership. Redwoodclan believes that the Mooncave is for all cats, and upholds the belief that an honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win a battle.Season 1964
Redwoodclan takes in a kitty-pet mother heavy with kits. The mother was driven from Thistleclan territory. When Thistleclan discovers that they had accepted the queen and her kits, it turns into a bloody conflict. Thistleclan believes that all outsiders should be treated as enemies, and that their outsider blood will weaken their ancient warrior lineage. They also believe that if outsiders are treated with any kindness, then they will further take advantage of the clan cats.Seasons 1970s
A war is declared between the two, which eventually leads to the former kitty-pet's death. This further enrages the Redwood warriors, and and with the arrival of camping season and the two-legs, Thistleclan surrenders due to their weakened state from the tourism.
Redwoodclan and Lichenclan contest for the most powerful clan on the island. The increase in tourism causes Thistleclan to weaken in comparison, since their territory is filled with hikers, hunters, and campers.Season 1991
The constant war between Redwoodclan and Lichenclan fluctuates between clan leadership. The first half of the decade, Redwoodclan is under the leadership of Bearstar. The she-cat is more hostile than past Redwood leaders and launches several attacks on Lichenclan.
With her death, the more docile Cloudstar comes to power. He is able to make peace negotiations with Lichenclan, and the conflict subsides for the first time in decades.
A massive blizzard decimates the clans from October 31 - November 3. A total of 37 inches cover the forest and landlocks the three clans in their respective camps.Seasons 2000s
A group of Redwood apprentices and two warriors are trapped out near the southern cliffs in the storm. The leader Leafstar and a band of warriors brave the dangerous storm to save them. Leafstar loses her final life when a tree is dislodged in the storm and trapps her in the suffocating snow. Her warriors can not save her and she dies to save her brethren. She is remembered as a notorious leader for her selfless heart and courageous spirit.
Tourism decreases on the island, and Thistleclan rises as a notable threat within the forest.Season 2017
In the middle of the decade, Thistleclan attacks Redwoodclan and tries to expand their borders to encompass the entire sandy creek to accommodate their growing numbers. Redwoodclan retaliates, and the two are shrouded in conflict for the rest of the decade.
Peace is not declared between the clans until a resolution is finalized. Both clans decide to share the river resources without conflict and remain on either side of their borders.
Tensions return between Redwoodclan and Lichenclan, as the Lichenclan leader, Sagestar, launches an attack on the forest clan.Season 2018
The current leader, Heatherstar, loses her deputy Bluetail in battle and Gorseheart is announced as the new deputy. Heatherstar is a diplomatic she-cat, who does not believe in an unjust war. She does not train her warriors for battle, and the clan slowly loses more senior warriors as she refuses to ambush her attackers.
Gorseheart is killed in battle as the tensions between Redwoodclan and Lichenclan worsen. Under the new leadership of Minnowstar, Lichenclan declares their desire for the Mooncave, which echoes Heronstar's ancient declaration.
More senior warriors die in battle, and without much choice, Heatherstar elects the nervous Finchtail as her deputy. He was once her apprentice, moons ago, and despite his many anxieties, she knows he will lead Redwoodclan well.

THISTLECLAN
The debates turn into bloodshed, and their first elected leader, Star, old and decrepit, is found dead by the waterfall.Season 1938
The one clan then breaks into three distinct clans. The cats who believe the code should be rewritten to account for a shift in values and beliefs become Thistleclan under their elected leader: Ivystar. Peace returns to the island, and it is decided that each full moon the clans will reunite by the waterfall in harmony to honor their first leader.
Two-leg activity in Thistleclan increases as construction on several tourist attractions begins. The usual hunters and trollers still occupy their land, however, this slowly changes as trails are made and the usual predator animals are eliminated from the island. As more tourists arrive to see the attractions, Thistleclan retreats from the north shore and moves their borders back to protect the clan.Season 1942
Lichenclan declares war on both Redwoodclan and Thistleclan. Under the guidance of his medicine cat, Coyotecall, Heronstar believes that the other two clans are filled with heretics. He barricades the other medicine cats from the Mooncave and attacks them at the full-moon.Seasons 1950s
Weakened by threats from both Redwoodclan and Lichenclan, and the increase in two-leg activity, Needlestar declares their succession from the warrior code and Starclan. This declaration comes from his belief that if Starclan existed then they would not allow such horror to devastate his clan. He announces their departure to the north.
Starclan retaliates and calls a flood to devastate the clans. All three leaders are drowned and lose all lives at once.
Elmstar becomes the new leader and returns to the white pine forest. She declares their return to the warrior code and Starclan, however, their belief is much weaker than before.
While Redwoodclan and Lichenclan contest for the most powerful clan in the forest, Thistleclan weakens considerably due to the rapid tourism on the island. Campers, hikers, and tourists infest their territory and disrupt their natural resources.Season 1964
Natural predators, such as fox, bears, and coyotes, either flee or are eliminated from the island. While this is seen as a beacon of hope for the Thistleclan warriors, the sudden increase in two-leg activity eventually leads to their downfall.
Thistleclan drives a pregnant kitty-pet from their land, since their clan is too stressed and weakened to accommodate outsiders. They also believe that any outsider interaction will eventually lead to bloodshed and tainted bloodlines. The Thistleclan cats soon discover that Redwoodclan had taken in the kitty-pet and a war is declared between the clans.Seasons 1970s
A band of Thistleclan warriors are sent to the Redwood camp over the half-moon, and the kitty-pet is killed. This further enrages the Redwood warriors, and with the arrival of camping season and the two-legs, Thistleclan is forced to surrender.
The Apostle Islands is declared a National Lakeshore and tourism skyrockets on the island. In an effort to drive out feral cat populations, many clan cats are trapped and killed over the decade.Season 1988
Thistleclan is affected the most by these efforts, and they are almost eliminated from the island. As a last resort, the remaining Thistleclan cats, under their leader Laurelstar, retreat into the underground tunnels to save their clan. They are absent from the fulls-moon and half-moons for almost a full season at the end of the decade.
Tourism on the island slowly decreases as the seasons go by. Thistleclan resurfaces from the tunnels, as their numbers slowly increase, and their natural resources return. With an increase in storms during the 80s, the many trails within the white pine forest are destroyed, and for a few seasons, Rocky Island is deemed too dangerous for two-leg travel.Seasons 1990s
In the summer of 1988, a tornado touches down by the islands and sends horrific waves into the sea shore. The strong winds from the storm send several trees into the Thistleclan camp. A young apprentice, named Greypaw, manages to save the leader, Fogstar, from a tree that crashes into his den.
The apprentice is named Greytornado, and he is celebrated as a clan hero. He eventually is elected deputy seasons into his warriorship, and leads the clan well into the 90s and early 2000s as Greystar.
Tourism further decreases on the island, and Thistleclan slowly rebuilds as a threat toward the other clans. For the first half of the decade, the clan is under the leadership of Fogstar. He is a notable leader that makes strides to establish Thistleclan as a formidable clan that deserves more land. He is the leader that first pushes for the sandy creek as a resource for the clan. His efforts, however, are disregarded, since Redwoodclan still sees them as the weakest clan in the forest.Season 2007
At the end of the decade, Greystar rises to power and becomes one of the most powerful leaders in Thistleclan history. He leads the clan until the mid 2000s and only retires when he is no longer able to fight a band of foxes injure him gravely. Under his leadership, Thistleclan earns the right to fish from the sandy creek and this strengthens their clan.
Under the new leadership of Froststar, the clan continues to strengthen as the Island shuts down two-leg tourism. The cabins and campgrounds in the north slowly deteriorate from lack of use, and the clan is able to expand their borders back to the cliffs.
In the late summer, a band of haughty apprentices are attacked by a stray porcupine. One takes a quill to the heart and dies from the wound. The others suffer life-threatening injuries, and they are bound to medicine cat's den for moons.
Yarrowfrost is appointed as the new medicine cat of Thistleclan around this time.
Season 2011
Froststar banishes a warrior of his, Bittersong, for indirectly killing a clan-mate out of jealousy. She finds refuge in the outlands as a rogue and starts to attack Thistleclan out of revenge. Unable to have her own children, she attempts to steal their kits several times over the next few seasons but fails.
Season 2016
The banished warrior, Bittersong, finally gives birth to a daughter, Lily. Her rogue daughter is taught to despise Thistleclan by her revengeful mother, and the two attack Thistleclan until Bittersong's inevitable death over the leaf-bare.
Season 2018
From the late 2000s, a band of foxes rages war with the Thistleclan warriors. They are the same foxes that had forced Greystar into retirement. Over the years, they slowly pick off Thistleclan warriors one by one and steal prey from the forest.
In effort to end this terror, a young warrior named Thievingstreak leads a successful patrol against the foxes and seemingly drives them from the territory. When the former deputy, Hawkwing, dies unexpectedly from green-cough, Thievingstreak is appointed as his successor.
Later, the foxes return to the white pine forest and avenge their fallen brethren. They gravely injure Thievingstreak, who is then left with an uneven, labored gait.
Throughout the season, Lily, the rogue daughter of the banished Bittersong, attacks Thistleclan patrols for fun with her mate Sophie and their now stolen, rogue son, Oleander. Lily schemes to finally steal a kit like her mother always wanted.
Near the end of the season, Yarrowfrost takes on an older apprentice named Ratwhisker.
Before the season ends, Lily successfully is able to steal a Thistleclan kit, killing his mother in the process. His sister, Coyotekit, is left behind, while his father, Bramblestrike tries to chase down the rogues and retrieve his son. Bramblestrike fails, but is able to gravely injure Lily's mate before she knocks him unconsious. The stolen kit is renamed Hawthorne and is trained to destest Thistleclan as well.

LICHENCLAN
The debates turn into bloodshed, and their first elected leader, Star, old and decrepit, is found dead by the waterfall.Season 1937
The one clan then breaks into three distinct clans. The cats who refuse to fight and honor their ancestors return to the shoreline and become Lichenclan under their elected leader: Windstar. Peace returned to the island, and it is decided that each full moon the clans will reunite by the waterfall in harmony to honor their first leader.
The Mooncave is shortly discovered on their territory and turns into a neutral land for future medicine cats.
Coyotecall becomes the new medicine cat in Lichenclan after his mentor, Saltwhisker, dies. Coyotecall believes that the other clans are filled with heretics, who do not worship their ancestors correctly. He uses signs from Starclan to direct Heronstar toward their first declaration of war.Season 1942
Heronstar is the first leader in Lichenclan to abandon their pacifist roots. Under his leadership, it is declared that only male born cats related to Hersonstar can lead the clan. This creates the modern patrilineal line that still infects Lichenclan.
Starclan retaliates and calls a flood to devastate the clans. All three leaders are drowned and lose all lives at once.
His brother Reedstar is elected as leader. While he is not as harsh as his brother and allows the other clans to enter the Mooncave, he still believes that Lichenclan should abandon their status as pacifist.
This creates the first rift in the clan, where some warriors believe in a more aggressive and religious Lichenclan under the Heronstar rule; others believe in a harmonious clan that honors Starclan in a more relaxed and monk-like manner. They also believe that any warrior can become leader.
Reedstar launches several attacks on Redwoodclan toward the middle of the decade. One particular battle ends with his death. His son, Wolfstar, comes to power and the conflict with Redwoodclan subsides, since Wolfstar is still tied to their pacifist roots.Season 1963
Coyotecall dies soon after Reedstar and his successor, Honeyfern, becomes the new medicine cat. Honeyfern returns Lichenclan to its more humble roots, and the war diminishes.
Honeyfern takes on a young she-cat named Lilacpaw as her medicine cat apprentice. A few moons into her mentorship, Honeyfern slips into the lake during a sleet storm and drowns.Seasons 1970s
Lilacpaw is then rushed to the Mooncave and becomes Lilacbite and the new Lichenclan medicine cat. She receives numerous dreams from Coyotecall and coerces Wolfstar to reinstate the war with Redwoodclan for the Mooncave.
Bloodshed returns to the clans.
Lichenclan enters the decade still in conflict with Redwoodclan and their new hostile leader: Bearstar. Eventually, both Wolfstar and Bearstar die in two notorious battles near the Southern Cliffs. Bearstar is slain in battle, while Wolfstar is thrown into the lake and only returns to shore for his final breaths.Season 1988
His nephew, Stonestar, becomes the new leader, and the hostile Bearstar is succeeded by her much more diplomatic deputy: Cloudstar. Cloudstar and Stonestar make amends and both clans live harmoniously for seasons.
A deadly tornado touches down by the islands in the summer months. The winds from the storm surge dangerous waters into the shoreline, and the Lichenclan caves flood and drive the sea dwellers into the forest. A few warriors and kits die in the deadly waters.Seasons 1990s
To avoid the flood, the Lichenclan warriors climb into the birch trees above the shoreline, and once the waters subside, they slowly return to their damaged shore.
A few moons after the flood, Lichenclan battles Redwoodclan for the small strip of birch trees above the caves. Their leader, Darkstar, who is Stonestar's grandson, argues that without the treeline, their warriors will die in another flood.
Redwoodclan refuses at first, but then negotiates a deal with the sea dwellers. Darkstar promises to leave the Mooncave as neutral territory for the next indefinite seasons, and the birch trees are won.
Darkstar, and his successor Crimsonstar, who is also his son, lead Lichenclan in the 90s. Both toms stick to their word and do not launch battles for the Mooncave. Redwoodclan and Lichenclan are rather peaceful for this decade and treat each other with a cool indifference.Season 2004
Near the end of the decade, Crimsonstar and Greystar argue with one another over the sandy creek. As Thistleclan grows in numbers, their demand for resources increases. Crimonstar eventually allows the clan to fish in their end of the river, and the conflict is resolved. The two clans never unsheathe their claws toward one another, and overall disregard each other as formidable threats.
Lichenclan sees Thistleclan as sinful heathens, and Thistlelcan sees Lichenclan as neurotic lunatics.
During the winter, a group of rowdy apprentices sneak out of camp to play on the frozen portions of the lake. The thin ice crackles beneath their combined weight, and the apprentices succumb to the icy waters. A warrior on patrol, Egretfeather, attempts to save the apprentices, but she only saves three out of the four.Season 2015
Nonetheless, she is regarded as a hero in the clan, and when the old deputy, Nettlefur, dies from old age, members in the clan advocate for her as the new deputy. Another tom, descended from Heronstar, Sagestrike, is appointed as deputy instead.
This ignites a civil war within the clan, and Egretfeather is mysteriously found dead a few sunrises later. Her supporters grow quiet, and the inner-conflict subsides out of fear.
A few seasons later, Hollythroat becomes the medicine cat of Lichenclan.
Tensions between Lichenclan and Redwoodclan return to the forest. Sagestar launches a few attacks on the Redwood warriors in an effort to regain their status as a threat in the forest and to test their boundaries. The current Redwoodclan leader, Heatherstar, refuses to fight back and loses warriors as a result.Season 2017
In the midst of the season, Smokemask is appointed as deputy of Lichenclan when the old deputy dies in a rare coyote attack.
The medicine cat, Hollythroat, takes on a young apprentice: Cinderpaw.
The attacks on Redwoodclan increase as Sagestar demands the entirety of the Mooncave. They launch into several bloody battles with the Redwood warriors and several cats are lost in combat.Season 2018
Smokemask dies in a battle with Redwoodclan, and his younger brother, Molefur is appointed deputy. Other than Sagestar, Molefur is the last Heron-related male heir in the clan. The elders and late Heron supports dissolve into chaos. Minnowleap, the sole live child of Smokemask, refuses to take a mate and have kits.
Hollythroat then passes away peacefully in her sleep, and Cinderface becomes the new medicine cat.
Near the start of the season, Molefur is found mysteriously drowned in the lake. Minnowleap is appointed as deputy, since she is last the live heir. She is the first she-cat deputy since before Heronstar.
Two moons later, Sagestar dies in battle, and Minnowstar becomes the new Lichenclan leader. While she is a she-cat, her cold and hostile nature wins over the traditionalist in the clan. Without a Heron heir, she appoints the devout Hemlockheart as her deputy.
THE TRIBE OF FLOATING STONES
Season 1901
The hostile wild cats succumb to the Great Waters. The cats who follow Tide become the tribe. The tribe cats make South Twin Island their new home, and under Tide, the tribe learn to listen to the earth and honor the natural world.Season 1923
Wide-spread disease infects the tribe for the first time. The current teller, Holly, leads the sick to a secluded peninsula on the island. This becomes the sick rock, and due to their isolation, the rest of the tribe is saved.Season 1942
Whitefish, the current leader, reads a sign from the lake that foretells a horrid flood. He listens and leads his clan to the highest point on the island, deep within the hills. The tribe evades the flood waters and everyone survives. However, the land that once connected the island submerges under the flood and turns them into tiny islands.Season 1957
Two-leg trollers and hunters flock to South Twin Island in an effort to capitalize on its natural resources. The tribe is forced from the tribe stone and into the forest for the season in order to avoid the two-legs. The island proves to be a poor commercial boon and the two-legs leave. Nonetheless, some tribe members are killed by two-leg hunters.Seasons 1960s
The tribe enters the decade in a careful state of fear. Since the Apostle Islands are on track to become a National Lakeshore, tourism has increased tenfold on the lake. While the two-legs do not dock on South Twin Island, the tribe still errors on the side of caution due to the brethren they had lost previously.Season 1970
As the decade comes to an end, the tribe suffers another serious parasitic infection. Several tribe members and to-bes are lost to the disease. The current teller, Sky, then discovers catmint on the island and the disease is eradicated.
The Apostle Islands is declared a National Lakeshore, and for a second time, South Twin Island falls victim to two-leg interference. The two-legs attempt to turn the island into another campgroud, due to their success on the neighboring Rocky Island. However, the high tides and congested forests prove too difficult to create a successful tourist attraction. The project is abandoned.Season 1988
Sky directs her tribe to stay away from the abandoned two-legs contraptions, and a portion of the island becomes forbidden for a decade.
A tornado touches down on the mainland and surges dangerous lake water onto the shoreline. A few tribe members are lost to the fast currents, including the new teller, Goldenrod. The tom did not listen to the earth, and he was drowned as a result. His young to-be, Fawn became the new teller, and she became one of the most notorious tellers on the island for her efforts to rebuild the tribe.Seasons 1990s
The abandoned two-leg campground is lost to the flood and washed out into the lake. The entire island becomes accessible to the tribe once more.
The tribe enters the new decade under the leadership of Fawn. The she-cat is able to rebuild the tribe and restore them to their naturalistic roots. Due to the horrific waters from the last flood, their burial grounds are moved to a much more elevated island. This becomes the Stone that Never Ends.Season 2008
Near the end of the decade, Fawn dies peacefully in her sleep, and her to-be, Black Bear becomes the new teller. Black Bear is a stoic tom and leads the tribe through a horrific drought at the turn of the century.
During the winter, the prey-hunters are unable to find any sufficient prey to properly feed the tribe. Black Bear sacrifices his share of prey to the tribe and eventually dies from starvation. Before his death, he tells his to-be, Rain, to share his body with the clan, so they can survive. Rain horrifically obliges, but disguises his body, and the tribe never learns the truth.Season 2017
Despite their efforts, other tribe members fall victim to the harsh cold and lack of food, and only a few make it to the next season alive. This period is donned the Great Hunger.
Rain is then appointed as the new teller and works to rebuild the tribe, albeit with tremendous guilt for her dark secret.
Since the Great Hunger, the tribe has grown considerably and increased in numbers. Near the end of the season, Rain takes on the next teller of the tribe, which is a young tom named Jaw of the Wolf. He is an exceptionally smart tom with a knack for herbs.Season 2018
A moon later, a tom named Lark is exiled from the tribe, because he murders another tribe member named Owl. He is the first tribe member in recent memory to kill another tribe-mate. He is banished from the island and never seen again.
Near the end of the season, both the head prey-hunter and stone-guard retire from their ranks and two new cats are assigned to the position. Moth Guided by Fireflies becomes the new head prey-hunter, and Talon of the Owl Who Hunts at Dawn becomes the new head stone-guard.
Before the season comes to a close, sickness falls over the tribe and Jaw of the Wolf unexpectedly dies. Catmint no longer seems to cure the disease. Distraught, Rain receives a vision and appoints a young prey-hunter named Creek as her next to-be.
