In more ways than one, Mallowfrost takes after her mother. While her fur is not white and pure like her mother's, she does match her stature. Where she was once only slightly bigger than her brother, she has now grown into a slender, tall she-cat.

Much of Mallowfrost's stomach, as well as patches on her legs, arms, and face, are white in color (50%). The rest of her body is a mixture of grey and cream. Wherever there is color, she is marked with fine mackerel tabby striping. Her fur is soft but shorter than many of her clanmates in RedwoodClan.

Mallowfrost's eyes are greener than her father's, but still, match his in shape and position on her face. She has a slender head, with smaller ears and long white whiskers. Her nose and paw pads are a soft, warm pink color.

Mallowfrost is largely without the blemish of scars, the only one noticeable being large slashes on her belly usually shielded from view with soft white fur.

It is not only in Mallowfrost's stature that she takes after her mother. Much like Icesong, Mallowfrost has a way with words and is cunning enough to use them well. She has natural confidence that helps her use her charm even more effectively. While she can mold her language to suit whoever she is speaking to, her default attitude is spunky and full of spirit.


She has a manipulative streak just like her parents and wields her charm like a knife against her enemies and allies alike. She can seem sweet and kind one moment, and then cruel the next. Betrayal is of no consequence for her, and her ability to turn on another cat in an instant depending on what gives her the better deal is a key aspect of how she prefers to deal with those around her.

The she-cat is determined, always trying her hardest to get what she wants. While she does her best not to get attached, she does prefer others to see her in a positive light. When she lets her true personality show through, she is a spirited young cat full of passion. However, putting on a false mask of apathy often comes easier than being genuine.


While Mallowfrost can be sly and cunning at times, she angers easily. And when she feels this building inside of her, little she or anyone else does will prevent her from exploding with rage. This is the biggest flaw in her manipulative schemes. If she were to be taunted or angered, her cool disposition can slip away and leave her gravely exposed. Despite her best efforts, where the mask slips she is sensitive to criticism and rejection.

A child of an unusual relationship, Mallowkit was born to Icesong and Gorseflame as the firstborn kit. In the first few days of leaffall, she is brought into the world with two siblings, Frozenkit and Snowkit. While Icesong and Gorseflame are not romantically involved, her mother conceiving instead after a long-term fling, the pair do care for their children greatly and will do all they can to care for their children. Mallowkit will be loved, despite anyone who may say otherwise due to her parent's unconventional bond.

During her kithood, Mallowkit became known as a menace of the nursery. Often she was climbing into the nests of other queens during her mother’s absences as she focused on her deputy position. It was early in her life when Mallowkit realized that she was her mother’s favorite child, and she was intent on maintaining her favor.


Mallowkit was assigned to a senior warrior, Crowfrost when made an apprentice. She spent a lot of time training with other warriors and apprentices, believing that being well-rounded would benefit her in her mission of staying within her mother’s vision. Slowly, her purpose became to become strong rather than solely to impress Icesong, a change largely catalyzed by her failure to participate in combat with LichenClan. Twice during her apprenticeship, her brother fought the opposition instead of her, the second encounter resulting in the death of her father and sister. Dealing with loss did not come easily to her - she instead tended to blame her mother and brother and herself.

Mallowpaw was named Mallowfrost on her 12th moon for her sharp personality and fighting prowess. Finally, when RedwoodClan decided to end the war once and for all, she was allowed to fight with Fawnbriar at her side, a young rival turned lover. She lost utterly, suffering major wounds to the belly. With no wars left to fight, she struggles with feeling as though she has a purpose within RedwoodClan any longer.


Mallowfrost had not experienced the pain of an injury before, and was given poppy seeds to aid in the recovery. She offered some that had been given to her to her aunt and denmate in the medicine cat den, Asterstorm. Unknowingly, Mallowfrost allowed her aunt a brief moment of weakness in her path towards recovery from addiction, a diversion that Mallowfrost was pulled into with time.

Fawnbriar and Mallowfrost continued to see each other, but their relationship began to grow strained as Mallowfrost continued to use poppy and avoid Fawnbriar's attention. Asterstorm became a medicine cat apprentice and put her using aside, but Mallowfrost still swiped the occasional high when she could get away with it. When Icesong decided to leave RedwoodClan, Mallowfrost promised not to use poppy seeds during the day to feel beyond the world's grip.

Despite her vow, Mallowfrost still struggled to sleep without the aid of poppy seeds. After Orchidshade's death, Asterstorm forbade her from borrowing from the medical stash, sending Mallowfrost to the peripheries of the territory to forage herself each night she could not sleep. Her long trips away from the nest were finally what caused Fawnbriar to snap, and the pair broke up in a mess of tears.

Suddenly without anyone she could confide in, Mallowfrost felt lost. She searched for some sort of purpose, trying to find some reason to become more involved in the growing inclination to fight with ThistleClan for the land they squatted on after the flood had receded. Mallowfrost found that war no longer was something she could use to propel her ambition, and fell into a stupor. She did not speak any longer to her brother or her other siblings, nor did she have her mother there to guide her.


While RedwoodClan rallied to raid ThistleClan, Mallowfrost remained far from the front line. Instead of feeling that familiar indignance in not being called to fight, she felt relieved to not face another's claws again, especially if it meant that her battle partner, Fawnbriar, would be involved.
