Lynx
Rogue
Large brown mackerel tabby she-cat with amber eyes, a white chest dash, and a bobbed tail.
Rogue
Female-
38 moons
Appearance
Lynx, like her name implies, is massive. With long legs, broad shoulders, and big paws, she looks very similar to her name sake, right down to the ear tufts and bobbed tail. Perhaps this is why Isla named her the way she did.
Unfortunately, the bravery and strength that the wild cat she is named for has is missing, with Lynx being quite weak for her size and age. She is extremely fast however, able to escape fights with ease.
Lynx is a short furred, brown mackerel tabby she-cat with darker paws, a darker muzzle, darker ear tufts, and a darker tail tip. Or at least a darker end to her bobbed tail. On her chest is a singular splash of white. Shockingly, she has no real scars to speak of. Her fur, while fluffy, isn’t really long enough to completely hide any scars she may receive.
Her posture is bad, with her rarely having her head raised up fully. She’s absolutely terrified of attracting any cat worse than Curiosity, in particular Lily.
Her eyes are a dull, dark amber, betraying no emotion as she constantly scans for danger.

Personality
+ Pacifist- Despite having the ability to fight, Lynx would much rather sit and talk about what a fight may be over. While part of it stems from her fear of fights, a lot of it stems from the fact that she just doesn’t like to fight.
+ Caring- Contrary to what her upbringing may suggest, Lynx is actually very kind and caring, willing to help everyone out.
+ Loyal- While she isn’t quick to form friendships or relationships of any kind, Lynx is extremely loyal. She’ll do her best to defend everyone she’s formed a bond with.
- Shy- Due to her rough life, Lynx doesn’t like to talk to others. She has very few cats that she is willing to actually sit and speak to.
- Anxious- Lynx constantly fears as if she is being watched, leaving her to be extremely anxious. She sleeps with one eye open and is almost never relaxed.
- Coward- Lynx doesn’t fight. When in a confrontation, the she-cat is much more likely to flee, as she hates conflict.

History
To say Lynx’s life has been less than perfect is an understatement. Born to Isla (wish), she and her younger brother Lupus (@immortus) are the only two of their litter to survive to adulthood, and it’s a miracle that they did.
Isla was a very paws off mother, not caring what her kits did. In fact, Lynx still wonders if she ever cared at all. She never engaged her kits, opting to just ignore them. In fact, Lynx didn’t know her own name until she was weaned.
Despite the fact that her mother didn’t seem to care about her, Lynx was happy. She and Lupus were extremely close- practically joined at the hip. Lupus was kind enough to make up for the lack of love she felt from Isla, and for a while, that was enough. They’d go on adventures together and would just have fun.
This changed when their mother started leaving more and more. Lynx made the connection quickly, realizing that their neglectful mother would soon leave. She saw it in the she-cat’s eyes. In the way Isla would go see another tom and would act sweet and loving to him. They wouldn’t be welcome for much longer.
Lynx, being the older sister, realized that she needed to convince Lupus to leave the den more often. To start practicing to hunt. She had managed to figure out the basics through watching Isla and pure instinct, and was dead set on teaching Lupus so they could leave.
It was too late however, and she and Lupus were taken by the scruffs and tossed out of the den.
After that, Lynx and Lupus survived on their own for a while, eventually being coerced by Curiosity to live with his group of rogues. Lynx never liked the tom, and was even more annoyed with Lupus’s willingness to do whatever he said, even if it was just out of fear.
Lynx never understood why he feared the tom. Sure, he was big, but she and Lupus could probably take him on. Besides, he was making him do this as a fee of sorts. Lupus could stop at any time and they could find their own place. However, she couldn’t quite convince him to leave. So she went along with him, not willing to fight him. Besides, she didn’t really think Curiosity was that bad.
Until he made her make her kill that is.
Lynx still has nightmares related to that day. Curiosity had sent Lupus off on some mission, but had asked Lynx to stay behind to accompany him on a walk. Lynx, curious as to what was going to happen, obliged. Apparently Curiosity had felt that her strength was wasted on being an errand girl. He talked about how she was stronger than she thought, and that she could go far.
Lynx was confused by his praise, but went along with it. After all, she was the adventurous one between her and her brother. She still wished she didn’t.
Curiosity took her to where an injured cat lay. To this day, Lynx doesn’t know what they did to anger Curiosity. Curiosity, with his silver tongue, spoke to her. Told her to kill the cat. Apparently word had gotten back to him that she wanted to leave, and Curiosity decided to show her what would happen. In fact, he thought the best demonstration would be to have her kill the cat herself.
When Lynx refused, he was ready. Told her that if she didn’t kill this cat, he would tear her brother limb from limb. And Lynx could tell that, despite his many lies, he was telling the truth.
And so she did it. She couldn’t risk losing her brother after so long. But in following orders, she broke.
The adventurous and brave Lynx was gone, replaced by a cowardly, anxious cat who did nothing but follow orders with her head bowed. She never told a soul what happened that day, not even Lupus. With so many killers around them, she was worried that she’d be seen like one of them.
So she just kept her head bowed. Obey Curiosity and pray that he never made her kill again. Thankfully, he didn’t. However, recently, everything changed.
Curiosity is dead, and for the first time in moons, Lynx has an out. It’s just a question of whether or not she’ll take it.
