SLEETWING
THISTLECLAN
silver classic tabby she-cat with blue eyes
warrior
she-cat
52 moons
Appearance
Sleetwing is almost black with how dark and consuming her stripes are compared to the rest of her pelt. You only start the notice the grayish brown that hides underneath as you near her white chest. Her tail is so striped that it is black in color, and the length of her fur makes it feathery and long. Speaking of her fur, it is definitely longer than a short haired cat. But it isn't long enough for her to be considered equal to the fluff ball that is her brother. You can still make out her general, slim body figure but still create depth through fluffiness.
Now, the eyes are what her name rides on. Her eyes consist of a pale blue, almost grey, not striking to look at far away but soothing to look at up close. They are pretty big eyes too, definitely creating competitive energy with the hugeness of her ears. Those two qualities really create an expressive face structure, the whites highlighting her muzzle and eyes creating even more of a contrast. Her nose is a cute addition to all of this, being a cozy dark peach. Her sharp cheeks make her look surprisingly mature for her rather small kitten body, but her chubby muzzle pulls her youth back to focus.

Personality
+ OBLIVIOUS
Sleetwing has absolutely no awareness of her surroundings. And this includes anything from obvious visual obstructions to missed social cues. It isn't like Sleetwing is not clever in some ways, but sometimes you really do think she is blind with how clumsy she can be in both just putting one foot in front of the other or realizing someone is angry at her even with daggers being pierced through her pelt. If any cat was too shy to tell her they liked her, they would be royally screwed.
+ RAMBUNCTIOUS
Sleetwing has a problem with her energy. She has too much of it. Even when she is trying to sleep, sometimes her legs will just twitch out of pure restlessness. This is what makes her rather troublesome when it comes to controlling this apprentices bursts of fire in her legs, and that includes chasing after her, dodging a pounce, or curbing her distracted stalk.
+ MISCHIEVOUS
Sleetwing isn't a bad cat by any means. In fact, usually she really does try with every genuine drop of blood in her body to follow the rules. But that energy needs to go somewhere, and that somewhere can cause a lot of trouble. She loves, absolutely adores fighting, play or real. So it is very common for her to start physical brawls with cheap shots or full on tackles. She is also notorious for getting her siblings to sneak out with her, finding games to be leader of.
+ RECKLESS
With how clumsy Sleetwing is, there is no wonder in the world why she would be reckless. On top of the fact that she lacks awareness of her situations, she also doesn't stop and think about them either. She is quick to go head first into whatever her gut or heart tells her, and very rarely thinks ahead.
History
A mother, Tawnysong, and a late father, Blazingfire. It was never a bother for Sleetwing, never knowing her father, even with her mother being so heart broken. The stories of his demise in that rogue skirmish never shook her nor impressed her. She just wanted to live longer than him. That was about what she learned from his entire existence, besides, of course, one of her brothers being named after him.
Yes, this little family consisted of three kits and a mom. Lightningpaw and Blazingstorm. These littermates were close, but for some reason Lightningpaw and her bonded just a little closer. It wasn't as if she loved more than the other, but Blazingstorm, when they were kits, was very often put in a situation where he was the butt of Sleetwing's jokes. Because of Blazingstorm being the runt, and to make it worse he would be consistently recognized as a female, this would arise a lot of borderline bullying. Sleetwing would never purposely hurt someone, but she definitely told a little too many jokes about her little brother, and would always get Lightningpaw to join in. Blazingstorm for her would forever be her baby brother.
This is the reason why not only does Sleetwing tolerate Blazingstorm's rough attitude as apprentices, but also will not stand anyone but her calling her brother names. She definitely tried to make up for her crude start with her brother with trying to protect him, but with their mother already ruining his view on love and protection through her intense spoiling, even Sleetwing can't break Blazingstorm's stubbornness sometimes.
Then, just a moon after they turned apprentices, Tawnysong died rather peacefully from an internal and unknown illness. She was getting more and more sick, but Sleetwing would never guess that her fate would line up so close to her mate's. It was then Sleetwing felt acutely aware of her own mortality. Both of her parents died young, and without any way to stop it. She could only do whatever she could to make sure her and her siblings don't suffer the same fate.
What would happen in Sleetwing's life next would be unquestionably the most impactful. During Sleetwing's first gathering as an apprentice, she would casually talk to a friendly cat by the name of Mothpaw from her same Clan. What started out as an innocent friendship soon blossomed into a young romance as the two fell in love at a young age.
Things would be relatively peaceful, besides their neighbors, until leaf-fall, when a flood destroyed their camp and forced them to take refugee in the cabins. It would be during this time that her brother, Thunderheart, had passed while out on a search for the missing Willowshine. During his vigil with her remaining brother, she had felt a pain so scathing she had felt like she had lost a part of herself. She loved both her brothers, and even losing one felt unbearable.
Sleetwing having kits, just as they turned warriors, was absolutely unplanned. But, she thoroughly enjoyed being a mother, and her kits Softstep, Ryestalk, and Ivoryleap would become great warriors. The only snag that she truly still thinks back on to this day, was during Softpaw's apprenticeship, when a rogue had mauled him. Between having to come to terms with a dark feeling of hate she had never experienced before, dealing with her son's mentor, and taking care of an injured child. She wanted to sympathize with rogues, but now it had been almost impossible to.
Time had moved forward, and yet still, war was the only talk of the island. Sleetwing had never wanted anything to do with the war, had always wanted ThistleClan to stay secluded from the battles that raged beyond their borders. But after the death of Thievingstar and things coming to a head with the rogues, tensions growing even worse when they joined LichenClan, she was forced to feel obligated to the war, despite her complicated feelings towards it. Luckily, though, she and her family would survive, and Lily would fall, ThistleClan truly having their revenge, and RedwoodClan having their's in Minnowstar's demise.
Things would settle until the blizzard, her and Mothfern spending much of their time in the den they dug together for warmth. She hadn't minded, though, especially with Blazingstorm joining in their den after not having enough time to dig his own. As tight of a squeeze it was, the conversations were soothing, and she enjoyed spending time with both her lover and brother. Soon after, the floods would take over their territory, forcing them in Bear stones. She didn't mind the change, but felt uneasy the longer they stayed.
Then, an unfortunate fall from a tree after saving Ryestalk from the crumbling branches, leaving her with a broken foreleg...
