Bramblethorn
Thistleclan
longhaired black mackerel tabby
Warrior
female
56 moons
Appearance
Character Stature: Bramblethorn does not stand out in her clan. Like her clanmates Bramblethorn is short, at best the average in her clan. Its something she hates but refuses to acknowledge it. She could be described being pure muscle, having almost little to no fat on her. Her legs are long and strong and powerful. Her tail is long and plume like.
Character Pelt: Bramblethorn's mackeral tabby pelt is often messy and ruffled, with multiple scars across her body, the most notable being the one between her eyes that travels to her muzzle long and jagged. Her fur is not neat, too tired to brush it its often covered with things she's picked up from Thistleclan territory. Despite its messiness when groomed Bramblethorn's long thick fur is incredibly soft and warm, something she appreciates in the much colder seasons.
Character Face: Bramblethorn has a square type face, with her cheek fur making her face look a little more rounded. Bramblethorn's greenish yellow eyes are usually narrowed in a glare, and almost never smiles. Usually she wears disapproving frown that can easily turn into a snarl.

Bramblethorn tends to let her anger rule her, often getting angry easily. Its almost like any disagreement could send the cat into a rage. Often she is known for angrily spitting insults at those who anger her. It takes awhile for her to calm down.
Bramblethorn is certain something terrible is going to happen at any moment. The she-cat is constantly on edge preparing for the worst. She believes and fears some terrible force is going to come and destroy everything. It leaves her anxiety ridden and tense.
History
Wave- and Rubble- where both a happy couple. They seemed to always be in their honeymoon phase, completely in love. After a few moons of getting hitched they decided that they'd have their first litter. Rubble wanted strong kits to help his legacy while Wave- more just wanted to be a parent. Together they reached out to Rubble-'s sister, a very distant aunt, to help carry the litter. She agreed, and they were expecting quickly, nearly instantly and both were more then over joyed.
The kits where delivered a frosty leaffall morning. The sun just creeping over the horizon as the two fathers welcomed their little bundles into the world, one she-cat 2 toms. Rubble- looked over the kits, all were big and healthy. Except.. there was little Bramblekit, half the size she could be and hardly breathing. The medicine cats said they weren't sure she'd make it the first night. Rubble- focused on his more perfect kits, the sons that would survive and bring their clan to a better future. Wave- was heart broken to see his daughter so close to death, terrified he'd loose her he spent every day watching her be nursed back to health. He hardly payed his sons any mind, too wrapped up on his sickly daughter. The rift was beginning.
Bramblekit ended up making it, slowly she gained more weight and was even able to move and open her eyes. Wave- was ecstatic, his daughter had pushed through. He expected his mate to do the same, but he didn't even seem to care. He was compeletly apathetic to their daughter and her plight, instead focused on his other kits. This started a rift between the two. Wave- who only spent time with his daughter, and Rubble- who only spent time with his sons. The family was breaking.
Bramblekit's first moons where boring. She wasn't allowed to play like other kits where, she wasn't allowed outside in fear she'd get sick again. She spent all the time with her father Wave- who would do his best to keep her entertained. Bramblekit almost never saw her father, or her brothers.
Finally, only a few moons before her apprentice ceremony Bramblekit was allowed outside, and she was introduced to her clan. She tried to keep up with the other kits and her siblings but quickly she lost strength, often left behind or shoved to the back. She was teased for her small size, nearly a half that her siblings were. Bramblekit was finally able to really meet her other father. Rubble seemed to not care, awkwardly talking with her before leaving to talk to his sons. Wave- was furious while Bramblekit decided she'd do anything to make him look at her.
Bramblekit tried her best to keep up with her brothers and father. She joined in during there mock training sessions or talks, but she wasn't able to keep up or she'd be ignored. Bramblekit realized her father looked differently at her siblings then he did her. Bramblekit realized she'd never be what her father wanted.
The family was divided, her brother seemingly picked up their fathers distaste and started treating her different as well, she was a nuisance. Bramblekit idolized Rubble- still, even from afar, while Wave was over protective and babied her every step of the way.
Finally after what felt like moons Bramble and her siblings where given mentors. Bramblepaw could finally, FINALLY prove herself. She wasn't that sickly kit in the nursery, she was a strong Thistleclan warrior. Bramblepaw was assigned a quick witted and sharp tongued mentor named Poppy-. She was hard on Bramblepaw and did not give her room for excuses. In Bramblepaw's mind she was perfect. Bramblepaw threw herself into her work. She didn't have time to make friends, only get strong. She worked, pushed herself to the limit but not once did Rubble- even look at her. Wave- and Poppy- tried to be some sort of support but Bramblepaw just wanted her fathers. If she could just get his attention, it meant she was really strong.
Bramblepaw decided she'd do something brave that'd change everyones mind about her. She'd go find a cat and chase it off their territory, then she'd be loved, then she'd be appreciated. Bramblepaw snuck out of camp and patrolled her Thistleclan territory. Afternoon turned to evening and Bramblepaw still found nothing. She was tired and crestfallen, she'd really wanted to prove herself! She was strong, she just had to make everyone see! With one last push of determination she decided to check the border again, and lo and behold stood some rouge, on there territory.
Bramblepaw hardly had any time to think as she leapt at the warrior. In surprise it threw her off and before Bramblepaw had a chance to strike the cat stuck her. She quickly realized how big this cat was, terrified she shielded her face. She didn't want to die! This wasn't how it was supposed to go. She waited for the cat to strike again, but opened her eyes in surprise to see the pressure was gone, and the cat fleeing back to their border. Had she done it? Defeated an enemy?
No, she hadn't scared off the attacker, a patrol had. One her brother was in. Bramblepaw was not the hero that chased off a rouge, she was the weak little kit who got jumped and was saved by her brother when he'd heard the fighting. Her father looked at her, but the look was a mix of anger and embarrassment. She'd made everything worse.
After the incident she was either mocked or pitied. Further isolating herself out of embarrassment and anger the she-cat went back on training. This time she'd make herself small, she wouldn't play hero and she wouldn't be a noticible figure. She'd be in the back, helping her clan and helping her dad. Turmoil brewed in the younger she-cat. She was bitter, angry at life and angry at her family for casting her out. Her brothers ignored her, or worse taunted her.
Bramblepaw flourished in her training. She was strong hunter and fighter. . But it wasn't enough, and Bramblepaw pushed herself further. To the point the-cat hardly slept. She had to be prepared.
She was there the day the foxes attacked camp. Bramblepaw hardly remembered the attack, only a flurry of red fur and paws. They'd won and chased the intruders out of their camp but not with out loses. Among the fallen was her father Rubble- Bramblepaw and her siblings were thrown completely off. Sure she hated him, but she hadn't wanted him to Die...she didn't want her father to be so sad. Wave- was heart broken, even thought their relationship had been on the rocks, they had loved eachother.
Bramblepaw and her brothers hardly spoke, an awkward and tense truce as they honored their father. But Bramblepaw found herself apathetic. He had treated her like crow food and now he was dead because he was the weak one. Her brothers were furious at her. Harsh words were thrown, the family was truly split.
Bramblepaw and her brothers never really let their anger go. If around they spat insults at one another, and it even turned violent. They often had to be separated.
Bramblepaw was given her warrior name , Bramblethorn. Bramblethorn was relieved she'd finally made it, but at the cost of her family. Wave- was her one supporter in her life. He's her rock, the only cat she's kind too. Bramblethorn did not make any friends. She was avoided either for her attitude or fights with her brothers. That was fine, Bramblethorn wanted time to work. Just like as an apprentice Bramblethorn put her everything in the clan. She stayed in the back, she was shadow. She had to be prepared.
Bramblethorn had no idea how much trouble was brewing. With the foxes, the floods. Bramblethorn found herself slipping. Slowly becoming a paranoid frightened cat. The foxes had killed so many, and the floods had destroyed so much. Bramblethorn was terrified of how easily everything could be destroyed. Terrified and angry Bramblethorn used her anger to fight all that hurt her clan, and the rouges were a perfect target.
Thistleclan's life was hell for a long time, loosing their home, loosing their loved ones. Bramblethorn was there to protect her father, and her clan from harm. But she wasn't alone. During everything a she-cat named Lakefire seemed to catch her attention, as she did she. It was innocent at first, small talk, walking. Soon though it became flirtacious. She was laying it on thick and it caused Bramblethorn to become nervous, did she want this? Did she want Lakefire? No no this was all wrong. Uncomfortable and upset she ended it abruptly, yelling at Lakefire and leaving. She decided that'd be the last time she'd do something like that. Instead she'd focus on her clan. She'd fight till her last breath, and she was prepared for what came next.
Finally, they had won. The battle with the rouges for their home had been exhausting but finally they were home. Bramblethorn was relieved to get back to camp, but there's still lots of work to do, and Bramblethorn is ready to take it on. Even ifs hurting her own sanity.
