SplashSong
Lichenclan
Lichenclan
SHORT haired, pale furred young warrior
Warrior
Female
20 moons
Appearance
Splashsong takes after her mother most closely. She is something just below average in height; her build is thin, sleek, and lithe. She is a graceful swimmer and swift runner when the need strikes.
Splash sports short, dense fur. She is primarily whites, creams, and grays across her body, mingled together into an overall light coat. Her legs and tail fade to much darker gray, with some darker and lighter banding. Her face is the sharpest contrast in color with more dark gray markings, her chin a notable exception as it remains pale. Her coat lays smoothly against her most of the time, though her tail has slightly more fluff than the rest of her.
Her face is most often sweet and curious, with matched blue eyes. She sports rounded cheeks, with well proportioned ears and tiny tufts of dark fur atop them.

Personality
Caring - Splashsong is most frequently a gentle and caring cat. She does not wish to fight, or insult or harm others, certainly not for anything but a rock solid reason. Even as a hunter and fisher she prefers her kills clean and swift. If asked her advice, she will try to guide others towards a softer solution. She has quite a fondness for kittens, finding them to be innocent, sweet, and playful. Her caring is not so self-sacrificing to allow herself or other innocents to come to harm.
Timid - Whether a cat calls it cowardly, or shy, or timid, Splashsong is good at keeping her head down. She is rarely the first to speak, and even more rarely will she truly speak her mind. She prefers her conversations to be surface level. She doesn't avoid company, in fact she enjoys it, but she doesn't want to ruffle any fur or say the wrong thing at the wrong time. She will let others speak first, and tailor her responses to them. There is a hint of manipulation and a certain self-serving nature to such an approach, but it is well below her true timidity. This can hold her back from sharing how she truly feels, and at times leave her frustrated that she didn't speak up.
Dutiful - Splashsong agrees that strong belief is the cornerstone of any Lichenclan warrior. She wishes to serve Starclan, Lichenclan, the warrior code, her family, and herself. A call to servitude in one of those areas tend to pull her most strongly, sometimes in favor of one of her values, sometimes against it. Often choices before her will be weighed against her duty to any given group or ideal. She finds it easiest to be brave, or loud, or persevere against adversity when a duty to something else calls her to do so.
Naive - Splash often comes across as naive, or perhaps unobservant to others. If there is a choice in how something might look, she will try to find the positive tilt to it, even if such an angle is improbable or foolish. She will choose to look the other way when there is something she doesn't want to see or hear. If an easy explanation is offered, she will find it easy to accept. This can make her take lies at face value, and push the obvious answer away in favor of a safer, or more comforting one.
History
Born alongside two siblings, Splashsong has been part of Lichenclan since her first breath. Her mother Mantisflame and father Viceroybite were mated, well respected warriors of the clan, now joined by three kits.
Splashkit was curious but quiet as a kitten. She might have been the first to peak her head around a new corner, or spot a new face, but she was hardly ever the first to approach. She found it easy to be friends with others who wanted to play however, whether it was her own siblings, other kittens, or older members of the Clan.
As she grew from kitten to apprentice, Splash was not one to ruffle fur or draw undue attention to herself. When she was officially matched with Pearlfeather as her mentor, she couldn't help her relief at the pairing. She would never have spoken against any mentor she was matched to, but Pearl felt like a gifted choice. The older woman was not nearly as demanding, or strict, or just plain harsh as Splash knew other warriors could be. The new apprentice found herself perfectly pleased to work to model her own behavior after Pearl. Splash preferred a quiet life with plenty of time to practice and perfect her skills. She didn't allow herself to relax too much, she was dedicated to hard work when it was needed and found she not only had a knack for fishing, but found quite an enjoyment in it too.
Her siblings and family remained some of her closest companions, though she began to feel more confident and at home with others from her Clan she was less closely related to.
Splash regarded most of her elders, and certainly the leader, deputy, medicine cat, and her mentor with deference and respect. She did her best to absorb all of the lessons of her Clan that she could. She had respect for their decisions, even if she did not understand all of them, she remained demure and did not speak back as she grew ever closer to becoming a warriors.
At times she felt out of place in Lichenclan. She felt softer, quieter. When others spoke of 'sin' Splash wondered if other cats truly were so bad? She had seen cats from other clans before, maybe even cats with no clan. They had not seemed evil, they hadn't sprung at her with murder in their eyes. Splash knew she had been lucky to be born into Lichenclan, but if it was only luck that put her here, could she really hold that against cats who had not been so lucky?
Splash knew those thoughts wouldn't raise how others regarded her though. Even if she wondered at some of what her clan taught and believed, she kept it to herself. She did believe in Starclan, and she believed in the leader of her clan to know what was right. She didn't feel any true hesitation in becoming a proper warrior for Lichenclan.
Of all the parts of becoming a warrior, perhaps it was odd to think that a dunk in the pool in the moon cave was what Splash had looked forward to the most. She revered the waters of the pool, and as she left it, almost ready to be a warrior herself, she felt refreshed, cleaned, and ready for the future.
The young warrior took on her new duties with the same quiet grace that she had lived most of her life with. It was easy to do all of her duties to the Clan. She liked to patrol, to hunt, to fish most of all.
She also found that she liked to watch the kits and apprentices of the Clan. Feeling shy for quite a time, she never managed to get all that close to any true newborns, but as soon as the kits were waddling about she made a habit of stopping to watch them. They tumbled and played, mewed and hissed. Splash thoughts them all just adorable.
Though she was young, too young she knew, to really think about having kits of her anytime soon, she couldn't help but imagine how she'd feel to have her own kittens. She wanted babies to watch, feed, groom, love. Contained in those dreams were some vague sense of needing a mate, and perhaps he would be handsome, and charming, but in her daydreams his face was never that of any particular Clan member. She knew it was the kittens that interested her far more.
As much as she might have wished to daydream over kittens and spend her time fishing, she could not fully ignore the other happenings within the Clan. She had always thought that Minnowstar did what was right for the rest of the Clan; why would Starclan have allowed Minnow to lead if she was not a good choice? Yet, Splash couldn't help but wonder if other members of the Clan truly deserved to be punished, if they were truly working against the Clan?
The young warrior tried not to think of it much. It was not her place to decide after all. Minnow decided what was right for the Clan. Splashsong knew in her own heart that she would not do anything against the Clan, she wished to always do what was right for her Clan and what the Warrior Code said was right.
