Brambledew
Lichenclan
A nimble brown shaded tomcat with yellow eyes and a silver tongue
Warrior
Male
53 moons
Appearance
At first glance Brambledew can look like an old soul. His dull, round, yellow toned eyes hold a part of his personality where he seems unfazed of almost everything. However, the expressions he put on his square shaped face keeps a smirk of amusement and mischief. His medium sized ears are triangle pointed, having a fair amount of distance in between each other. The tomcat’s whiskers also stop at a medium length, preventing him from constantly getting overstimulated.
Brambledew stops at the height of 9 inches and weighs 10 pounds. He was the weakest in his litter so his frame is smaller compared to his siblings. His flat paws are small with sharp claws, especially when it comes to his dewclaw. Small paws make him more agile and quick on his feet all with claws that are dangerous in battle. His muscles aren’t toned unless he stretches. His chest runs deep and if you were to look at him from a front view he appears to be squared in shape.
He’s a cat with a short, but dense coat in various browns. His black stripes and swirled pattern is his most noticeable feature. The stripes are most apparent on his four legs, face and ending of his tail while the swirls look more like blobs on his back and underbelly. You can say that he has a classic tabby pattern. His coat can be rough, often picking up dirt and debris of where he inhabits. Besides it’s rough feeling, Brambledew is often well put together. Huge stains on his body is an ick for him.
In terms of his mannerisms, Brambledew walks quite slow. He’s always trying to take in scenery which can make him or see him as nosey. His hackles and fur are often relaxed. Even in situations where he’s being threatened, signs of aggression aren’t an attribute visible on his body. A matter of fact no one really knows truly what Brambledew is thinking unless he states it. To most he’s just a cat who sits in the shadows watching hell breaks loose or smelling the flowers.

Personality
Ah, where’s the best place to start? Brambledew is a red flag camouflaging as a careless individual who has nothing going on in his head. You ask him a question and unless he really feels the need to answer he acts as if he has no opinions. He likes to carry himself as brainless, only sticking around to have a good time. However when he speaks you can tell that he is sophisticated, has common sense and loyalty for his clanmates. He’s kind of a strange individual often invading people's personal space or saying borderline mean things all with an empty smile on his face. If you were to get mad at the tom he’ll only laugh wondering what exactly he did wrong when he knows quite well.
He seems to be entertained by nearly anything. Whether it be smelling flowers or watching his clan fall apart to bits, Brambledew is always content and it’s concerning. Nothing puts fear into his eyes, not even death. A matter of fact even death makes him giggle a bit. Dark humour is one of only ways a genuine smile forms on his jaws.
Brambledew knows how to strike emotion in people. Even though he’s quite a capable fighter his method of operating will always be verbal. He can easily slip into the minds of the weak, acting like a caring friend, lover, sibling or even father. His words sting like a bee however his actions are soft, gentle leaving the weak to feel confused on whether or not they hate him or love him. The tomcat also carries sexist opinions which come out as microaggressions or a joke. He thinks that women can’t reach their true potential unless under the care of a man. The intelligence of a woman cannot be wasted on their own aspirations and they should be used for a man’s instead. They are sensitive individuals who should have a gentle touch. Bramble believes women without a male guardian can be erratic and wasteful with their intelligence making them dimwitted. He doesn’t think women are useless but instead a dangerous group to mess with if not contained.
Although carries himself as a lazy, uncommitted individual Brambledew is actually quite responsible and devoted to Starclan even if it doesn’t seem like it. He’s not a vicious preacher for Starclan compared to other other felines but he will listen to the words of the dead and takes their words somewhat to heart. His faith can be questioned as he often uses it as a way of manipulating others. Besides his underlying manipulative tendencies it is well known that Brambledew is a feline with logical thinking and leadership qualities. His personal opinions never interfere with making group decisions and actually a lot of the time he listens to those around him when matters aren’t severe.

Children:
Friends: Flashfang
Tw: physical abuse
Brambledew was born to two toxic parents alongside two siblings, a brother named Cypruspelt and a sister, Quiverpool. They were born into Linchclan. Bramble was born first but he was also born the weakest having health issues that follow him up until adulthood causing him to have asthma. However, he was still the most capable out of all of his siblings and they followed him as if he was a gang leader. He picked up his silver tongue from his mother. She would never seriously be rough with any of them and instead her words are what she used to cut them like a knife, causing insecurities and doubt in her children. She would go on and on about Starclan and how her children were going to grow up to follow the expectations of the dead. Unfortunately she ended up passing away due to her own illnesses. Bramble’s father couldn't care less about his mate dying. She was weak, nothing but an alluring tricky cat that ended up getting knocked up. While Scorchstorm saw his mate as stupid, Bramblekit admired her intelligence when she spoke of star clan, acknowledgement of her place in life. Whisperfeather saw herself with Littleworth but she never pushed herself to think she knew she wasn’t. His father didn’t start getting rough with him or his siblings until he was over 6 moons but Brambledew recalled freezing in place whenever his father showed up to the nursery to check on how his kittens grew.
In his adolescent years he finally became an apprentice. Bramblekit became Bramblepaw. His mentor was male named Yellowtail. He wasn’t strict with his teachings but still encouraged Bramblepaw to put in his best efforts. He would often have deep conversations about Starclan which gave Bramblepaw more perspective on the land of the dead. He wasn’t at the top of his class but that was because he didn’t really see the need to put in a lot of effort. He didn’t have any ambitious goals for the future and he didn’t care much about his position in life. So he was lazy with his training until it came down to teamwork. He was starting to believe more and more that knowledge was power and not status. Through his adolescence his father would push his sexist and misogynistic beliefs on all of his children. His father would get physical with him if he seemed to have exhibited a trait that was feminine. The teachings of sexism and misogyny caused a lot of division between the siblings, the brothers crushing their sister’s confidence and overall being. Still, although so much toxicity ran through the siblings they loved each other. They were trauma bonded; the repeating cycles of their parents while preaching how they hated them. It seemed like whatever Scorchstorm interacted with his children it was just physically harming them for any mistakes they made. It caused Quiverpaw to be anxious about making choices of her own and Cypresspaw to always be hung up on the details, scared about missing something and messing up. With no ambitions and Scorchstorm destroying his confidence every chance he had, Bramblepaw was beginning to see himself as nothing. To him, if he was nothing, mistakes were insignificant and just a part of his behaviour.
When he became an adult He was a thrush warrior in his name was now Brambledew. He was given this name for how sharp his dew claw was. A month after his warrior ceremony his father passed away in a fox attack and honestly it couldn’t phase him. A cruel death for a cruel man. Around this same time, Minnowstar took charge. A woman in power didn’t really phase him. However, it seemed like the woman lost her way from the pacifism the clan once walked down. She needed some guidance, from a man. In the middle of his warrior years, he got relatively close to Flashfang, a quite argumentative tomcat. Bramble didn’t debate with him often and if he did it didn’t reach too far. When Flashfang would get heated during their discussions on Starclan Brambledew would just laugh and shake off the conversation to talk about she-cats in the clan. That’s when Brambledew came came to realize their similarities. Both of them thought Women were too emotional and stupid to be in control of them selves. Unfortunately they ended up becoming distant overtime when Flashfang began pursuing Sturgeonstone. Brambledew’s passive aggressive comments about the female caused them to grow apart. The distance doesn’t affect Bramble much but he does like to be called times where they were much closer and could talk about amusing things.
