Goldenpaw
ThistleClan
A rich brown tom with luxious locks and piercing green eyes
Apprentice
Tom-Cat
Eight Moons
Appearance
STATURE
Beneath all the fluff, Goldenpaw's body is made of lean muscle which was caused by his active kittenhood. His legs are long with paws that are too large to match. His ears are tall, and his tail long. Limited resources and extensive exercise caused Goldenpaw to weigh about 10lbs and stand 15 inches tall with room to grow.
PELT
Goldenpaw's pelt is luxurious and envied by many. It is long and flowy, coloured in the deepest and richest browns found within The White Pine Forest. He appears almost as though he was created from the earth itself.
Goldenpaw's signature is the dark brown streak that flows from his tail and along his spine, meeting with the lightest parts of his pelt, the front. His main and face are coloured with bright creams and markings of a tiger.
FACE:
Goldenpaw's eyes are a beautiful deep green that matches the leaves during the Greenleaf season and shines like a gem in the sunlight. He has long white whiskers and long tuffs at the side of his face, making his head appear larger than it actually is. His nose is that of a peach colour, visibly rosy when he is healthy and its hue dulling when he is sick.
Personality
EXTROVERTED
Goldenpaw loves company. He enjoys being around other fellow cats regardless of age or rank. He is the life of the party, at least he believes himself to be. Not being around others causes Goldenpaw to feel lonely, which brings Goldenpaw to act out to receive attention.
He hates being alone, and this is one of his biggest fears.
IMPULSIVE IDIOT
Ever since the battle against the rogues, Goldenpaw has been on edge. He started acting on impulse and emotion rather than rationality. He won't think of the consequences that may happen after. Goldenpaw will do it and realize when there is a backlash to his actions, maybe that wasn't the smartest thing he could've done.
CONFIDENT
Goldenpaw has never lacked confidence in himself throughout his short life. He knows what he is capable of, and knows what he can achieve. There's never been a point where Goldenpaw didn't reach his expectations of himself. He trusts himself and is assured that as long as he puts his mind to it, he can beat whatever obstacle is in his way.
EGOTISTICAL A**HOLE
Goldenpaw and his siblings were doted on. This caused Goldenpaw to view himself highly enough it sometimes seems there isn't room for anyone else. (but there is) He loves himself so much and believes everyone else will disappoint him eventually, but he cannot.
Goldenpaw will always place himself first above everyone else. Until someone finally proves him wrong.
CHARISMATIC
Goldenpaw was always been an outgoing kitty, but ever since he felt pitied upon, Goldenpaw's outgoing personality increased ten-fold. He wanted to show he isn't damaged, which meant Goldenpaw had to be this energetic jokester that made everyone's day.
Though it's a good thing to make cats smile, sometimes Goldenpaw feels left out within the laughs. Even though his clan had enjoyed his comedic expression, Goldenpaw is still hurting inside.
MANIPULATIVE MONSTER
Where there is a charming, spoiled extrovert cat, there is a manipulative one. Goldenpaw wants everything to go his way and gets upset when it doesn't. This ties in with his impulsive nature where he'll act out negatively if he doesn't get what wants. And believe it, because Goldenpaw always gets what he wants. (courtesies of his parents)
History
0 - 2 Moons
Goldenkit was born to Redclaw and Gentleheart with two other littermates; Mistykit and Silentkit. They were all happy together, their father visiting after each patrol and grooming his mate as she rested with her kits. They were perfect, but not every story remains that way.
Redclaw was a loving mother, one who watched her kittens protectively as they slowly grew with each passing day. One day, she noticed Silentkit, the youngest of the three, had developed a fever and seemed to be coughing a lot. Redclaw called for the medicine cat, Aster. But Shadepaw came instead since Aster currently occupied something else at the time. Shadepaw discovered it was whitecough, a flu-type disease that was treatable.
Relieved, Redclaw listened to Shadepaw's instructions allowed Shadepaw to move Silentkit to the medicine den. There, Shadepaw gave him catmint, a herb that would treat Silentkit for a disease currently running rampant in the camp; greencough. But the herb didn't work, and Silentkit continued to get worse. But by the time Shadepaw had begun to treat Silentkit, it had already been too late.
Redclaw became devastated after Silentkit's passing. Though Goldenkit was still too young to understand, he could feel this shift in his mother. The family moved on together and grieved in silence for the loss of their youngest.
3 - 5 Moons
Goldenkit was a wild kitten and one that Gentleheart, Redclaw and the Thistleclan found a handful to watch over. He relished in the stories of the warriors before him and wanted so desperately to be one of them. Goldenkit would fight with his sister Mistykit and pretend she was a RedwoodClan Warrior who stumbled into Thistleclan's territory! Mistykit never enjoyed Goldenkit's surprise attacks, but some den-mates enjoyed the roleplay and dived in on the play.
That was how Goldenkit developed his love for friendship and company and how he became fearful of being alone. His clan felt close netted to Goldenkit, which made him believe that no matter what would happen, Goldenkit would always have an ally by his side in Thistleclan. But this wasn't entirely true for Goldenkit.
6 Moons
One late morning when the Thistleclan was bare, Goldenkit awoke from his slumber. He found most of the clan was empty of its warriors, including his mother. The Queens within the nursery reassured Goldenkit of his mother's return, but he could see a tinge of worry written on their expression. When he asked, they dismissed it, explaining they were only worried about the warriors who had gone into a great battle against the rogues.
The morning came and went, the evening creeping closer with each passing moment. Goldenkit was growing more and more restless. His mother had never been gone for so long before, yet this time it seemed like she never would return. But as the thought crossed Goldenkit's mind, the warriors returned.
Before the Queens could stop the male kitten, Goldenkit bolted out of the nursery and to the warriors. They all looked hurt in one way or another. Some suffered horrible injuries that Goldenkit shivered at seeing, others appeared decently alright. As Goldenkit peered through the crowds, searching for his parents, he found neither had returned.
Heart sinking to his chest, Goldenkit rushed to the Queen communicating with a warrior who wore a grim expression. "W-Where are my parents?" Goldenkit asked, his voice trembling. The expressions they gave Goldenkit were some that made tears drip down his cheeks. It was too much for the adolescence kit to bear. Goldenkit didn't listen to the Queen before he ran away. He wanted to be anywhere else other than the nursery. He didn't want to believe his parents were dead.
As time went on without Goldenkit's parents, the clan to Goldenkit seemed distant. Everywhere Goldenkit would go, there was always someone looking at him with this pity he didn't care for. His parents were gone, but that didn't make him a lost cause.
He became a jokester to the clan, sharing their dark humour and nature. He wanted them to stop looking at him like some broken object. He wanted friends like he used to have, the carefree kind. Each time he would play with his playmates, one always asked if he was alright. It caused him to act out angrily at his friend for no other reason than Goldenkit was hurting.
7 Moons
Since the fight with the Rogues and the relocation to their previous home, Goldenkit's apprentice ceremony was postponed. Today was the day Goldenkit would be an apprentice. He was overjoyed and bouncing on his paws as the clan gathered for the ceremony. Today, Goldenkit was now Goldenpaw, and from now on, he was going to prove to his clan he is not some broken object.
