Foxfire
Thistleclan
a long-furred dark red tom with amber eyes
warrior
Tom
35 moons
Appearance
a long-furred dark red tom with amber eyes
Foxfire's fur runs from a deep, auburn red to a lighter ginger along his chest and underside. His smooth autumn palette was what got him his name as a kit, but as he grew older, his vibrant personality contributed just as much. The length of his fur is a tad longer than the typical ThistleClan warrior, often getting caught in the low, needled branches of ThistleClan territory. Amid his russet colored face, Foxfire holds a pair of equally coppery amber eyes. His gaze is not intense, and usually comes off rather warm, playful, and welcoming.
Even so, Foxfire spends copious amounts of time grooming himself as to make a handsome appearance in front of the class. His social image means everything to him, and thus this tom usually appears well-groomed and tidy. On healthier seasons, Foxfire's long and bushy tail is an impressive sight, typical of a Somali breed. He stands with broad shoulders and chest area, exaggerated by his long fur.

Personality
carefree - willful - outgoing - critical - insubordinate
Foxfire tries to be relaxed and easygoing cat. He sticks to a few close friends, loves them dearly, and genuinely hopes for nothing more than a peaceful life in the Clan. On the day to day, he upholds a persona of being low-key. In fact, he is not a particularly hard worker and tends to slack off in his duties now and then. Foxfire is not particularly fond of the Clan's traditions, or any traditions for that matter, leading to him slacking off and frequently disobeying orders. He believes himself to be a free-spirit and often acts rebellious and insubordinate in the face of tasks he dislikes.
However, despite his daily attempts to stay calm, Foxfire lives up to his name and has the ability to lash out with sharp and critical comments. He defends strongly the causes he cares about and is generally uncompromising on his beliefs. At heart, he is passionate and dramatic and has difficulty holding back his blunt and often disruptive opinions. He shares his emotions openly with others and seems to only be capable of blunt honesty. Any cat who does happen to be a close friend of Foxfire knows he is a ball of angst and anxiety. These traits often come across in his dry and self-deprecating sarcasm but might not be obvious to a mere acquaintance. Foxfire often bottles up his insecurities and attempts to hide them through humor.
Given his often fiery emotions, Foxfire is a romantic at heart. He believes that if he sticks to his beliefs and his morals, eventually he will find the right friends and right she-cat for him. One of his primary life goals is to find love, but for now, he is as promiscuous and flirtatious as ever. Equipped with snarky sarcasm and a charming smile, he just cannot hold back from flirting with she-cats and can often come off too strong. He has become a center for drama in the Clan and will often get himself into the tangle of rumors and hearsay.

History
MOTHER: Minkfur - deceased
FATHER: Dustclaw - deceased
SISTER: Honeyblossom - adoptable
OLDER SISTER: Hawktail - played by catalysta
OLDER BROTHER: Hornetfur -adoptable
OLDER BROTHER: Wrenfeather -adoptable
MENTOR: Goldenpetal
Foxkit and Honeykit were born as the third litter of Minkfur and Dustclaw. An experienced but unforgiving mother, Minkfur raised the two with utmost discipline. The parents seemed to work hard to make up for the love they lacked in their first two litters, but Foxkit had none of it. From a young age, he was rebellious and troublesome. Rules were made to be broken, and he quickly learned to ignore his mother's constant scoldings and roll his eyes at her protective actions.
He never changed his attitude as he grew older. Foxkit found the rest of ThistleClan to be too uptight and on his tail all the time. He was never allowed to do anything fun, and even during his kithood, he resented his parents deeply for this.
One might think young and spirited Foxkit might mature a little eventually, but this was simply not the case. As an apprentice, Foxpaw was as a rather lazy and unmotivated young cat. He preferred to play and dawdle, often distracting other apprentices like his sister as well. His mentor was a level-headed she-cat named Goldenpetal, and while they got along fine, Foxpaw simply never felt invested in his training.
Goldenpetal and Foxpaw's older sister Hawktail grew strangely close, to the point where the pair would train their apprentices together. While he respected his mentor enough, Foxpaw did not particularly like Hawktail. Goldenpetal was stern with him sometimes, but for whatever reason, Hawktail was straight up unforgiving.
After just barely passing his assessment, Foxpaw received the name Foxfire for his rambunctious and often fiery personality. Not long after, he spotted Goldenpetal meeting up with an outside cat, but Foxfire could not care less. Between the restricting Clan rules and a life of romance, Foxfire would no doubt choose the latter. He did not lose respect for Goldenpetal because of it. However, it was not long before Hawktail also found about this transgression, prompting Goldenpetal to publicly announce her intentions to leave the Clan.
Foxfire was heartbroken. His mentor had been his go-to advocate and rolemodel aside from his parents. He confronted Hawktail, expecting her to also show sympathy for Goldenpetal's situation. However, the two disagreed on the concept greatly and exploded in heated arguments. Such has been the dynamic between them since, with Foxfire rolling his eyes at her blind loyalty to the Clan's rules that he could not care less for. Every once in a while, Foxfire believes he can get Hawktail to return to her family, attempting to reach out to her and become friends. But every talk ends in another angry disagreement.
The two were simply different, and with that understanding, Foxfire began to focus on his own life a little more. Since then Foxfire has made more close friends and now hopes build a family. For the first time in moons, the Clan began to see some motivation out of the angsty young tom.
